13:25 did I just watch Bdubs steal hoppers 😂
When I saw this part I had to double check and was like "What?"
Lol I was so close to commenting on this before he went back 😂
I WENT DIRECTLY TO THE COMMENTS TO SEE IF SOMEONE NOTICED
Lmaooo I’m here for this comment
Please note that he did end up paying.
13:16
"Yep, 10 diamonds is a reasonable price"
*steals hoppers*
He returned to pay at 14:10, though.
😂
@@grondhero i mean that's fair I did see that later
He still underpayed though. Incredible how hermits always manage to mess up the simplest shops.
@@-sturmfalke- he didn't underpay, he put 10 diamonds in, he only took 2 stacks
Don't do it Bdubs. Don't give in to Big T. Keep your terracotta permit that you've worked so hard on! You don't have to prove anything!
"If we do it your way, Kingslayer. You'd win. We're not doing it your way."
Bdubs having a Teddy Roosevelt arc and I am all here for it
I dunno, I want Bdubs and Scar to take Big T's permits from under their noses. 😅
11:44 most people forget to carry the one but bdubs forgot to carry everything else
2 days with no replies is crazy!
Love your vids man
31:40 There's something so funny about two of the greatest builders of all time arguing about the placement of a few path blocks lmao
That's the reason why they are one of the best.
Scar's sighed, "Fine," is immaculate
2:12
"Its as organic, free range as you can get!"
- BDubs, while talking about the most man made, closely confined terracotta possible
He should market it as sustainable instead lol
😂
I was thinking the exact same thing 😂
artisan terracotta, maybe!
Home grown
5:45 Etho could redeem that to make bdubs finish the roof of his house, since we all know Etho will put off roofing until the end of the season XD
He could also try to lawyer it into getting BDubs into making an *entire* build: the interior, exterior, any redstone involved, _and_ anything else he could think of, because the wording really isn't clear and could be interpreted that way. lol
I was hoping he would! He's really stuck on what to do with that roof, and Bdubs could probably help him sort it out. Plus, it's always fun to see Etho and Bdubs collab.
That's what I was thinking!
Joe's 'slow drip' joke at 37:38 was SUPREMELY clever and I'm so upset it went unnoticed
I dont get it please explain 😂
@@imperfectruby terracotta is made using clay farms, which are dripstone falling onto mud. Joe's joke was referencing Shor-T developing as 'a slow drip' which is both a business term for slow development, AND a nod to the farms. Even if it wasn't intentional, the layering stuck out to me as really clever 😁
@@iantha611 Ohhhhh, that IS clever 🤣
Joe's jokes are always so on point, Idk how he does it
@candychip2557 I've never watched Joe but now I want to
I love how your "Is that silk?" caught Ren off guard and got him to crack for a second 😂
Video has been up for a minut6e and this pro commented 14 minutes ago...

@@sappicalwe usually get the video around an hour early
Not going to lie, that “is that silk?” floored me.
Well now you guys have to make sure the terracotta shop is on the edge of the water.
You know. So it can be Shore T.
This is actually hilarious
How is this not top comment. Come on B, you gotta.
Omg PLEASE
you must be wearing glasses!
This please
I love how Hermitcraft has changed how the hermits play Minecraft:
1. Mumbo, Tango and Impulse has started doing building videos (and timelapses)
2. B-Dubs and Pearl starts doing redstone and farms in their base
13:03 "what about the little guy..."
I mean... u said it, u finnally admited it... great job buddy
The first step to getting better is admitting your problem.
Yes very little
"JHBADWILAUNBDASB ... i sound like a shulker box"
Someone should put that sound in a music disc and sell it as "organic" shulker dispenser noise XD
I was gonna say 6:05 up till the barf noise would be a great troll horn for when someone asks an opinion on a build lol
New horn!
i literally thought "that sounded like a shulker" right before he said it!
Cub has too much power 😂
Weathered terracotta, my favorite block 7:20
That actually got me thinking of a weathered terracotta with maybe some streaks, stains, or discoloration otherwise. I'd vote for it to be added.
Maybe for other blocks too 🤔🤔@@PBTophie
He had terracotta on the brain 😂
i was looking for this comment xD
Ah yes 👏 weathered terracotta, I love that block😊
38:42 "But y'know... only cowards decline."
BDUBS, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, DON'T PULL A MARTY MCFLY!
Yeah Bdubs should decline. It's the smarter option
Bdubs should make a moonshine still in his forest.
How?
@@user-2rx61Eu7z Magic. I don't know how he builds anything, I just assume it's magic
gotta love Bdubs not paying for stuff 😂😂
But he did though. He went back and paid in full.

At 18:24, If the minecart were standing on a detector rail, you could read its contents with a comparator :D
thought the same thing. the solution turned out okay though! i like that bdubs figured it out without googling it, makes redstone more fun
Yup, detector rail does the trick. He may also be able to have a hopper or two be pointed at the rail so the chest cart can still get filled if that works like that on java.
Yup, comparator read rail below minecart, not minecart itself
@@DavidSmith-me3qy yupp i actually really liked the way bdubs got creative with it instead
OMG thank you! 🙏
Bdubs: *Puts hopper payment in the barrel then immediately takes it back out again and walks away* "Did I pay...?"
I love all the hermits, but theres something about Bdubs videos that are special. The way that they're organised, mix of building and other bits, the adverts are truly the only youtuber I don't instant skip, the freecam bits, the choice of music, he's got an atmosphere to his videos thats very unique compared to other hermits.
Love you Bdubs
I can’t remember if I mentioned this before: pro editors please stitch together an end of season BDubs music montage. So peaceful.
Yes please!!
a bdubs advertisement montage aswell please :D
His music choice is so soothing this year
by the end of the season we could have like 30 minutes of montage footage all stitched together into a ‘this is how I built my base’ video. Would be awesome
Yeah! I’ve been loving the music he’s been using this season. I added some of them to my Spotify playlist
can't wait to see Bdub's straight-forward, simple, and efficient super smelter. we should expect nothing less from THE redstone master
I don't know if you heard, but Etho declared Tango to be THE Redstone Master
@@riuphane Oh come on, what would ETHO know about REDSTONE /j
The "ShorT" Shop should have the ceiling low so customers have to crouch to get in and walk around. That would be hilarious! And they would buy extra because they wouldn't want to go back too soon! The perfect mix of "make them stay longer so they end up buying more" and "don't have to stock up every day due to selling out".
This has surely been said before. But at the edge of the forest you should have a more shrubbery and smaller trees. The reason you have the bare trunks and lack of foliage in the middle of the forest is because of the lack of light. The edge of the forest however doesn’t have as much competition for light and so the new growth is more chaotic
Being a redstone contraptions player, I was simultaneously delighted and frustrated by Bdubs trying to make a minecart loading station
Came for Mumbo, stayed for Doc, found a special place here with Bdubs.
Yes, it sounds like you enjoy watching players who are experts at redstone. 🧐
According to the Rules of Dueling (as extant in Great Britain); as the challenged party, you choose the weapon/challenge, while Ren, as the challenging party, sets the place. (The USA Dueling Rules do not state who sets the time or place)
I think it would be cool if you hooked up the chimneys of the super smelter so that while it‘s running and smelting things, smoke comes out of them, and when it‘s done smelting, the smoke either clears up or is just puffs, kind of like with your mailbox. That way you’d be able to let it smelt on it’s own and go away and then know when it’s done. Amazing episode!
Both Scar and Bdubs have the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever and just decline the challenges after Big T makes them.
I really like how the silos look wet, as if theyre constantly sucking the moisture out of the insides.
No, i made them wet
heres an idea.....campfires in the smelter chimneys, with trapdoors controlled by observers so the chimneys emit smoke while the smelter is in operation :)
The forest needs two or three mushrooms here and there.
Best builder in the world right here IMO. The natural style he does is so impressive.
Absolutely worth having a membership to you Bdubs to see this.
Whats the benifets of having a membership
@@user-2rx61Eu7z burger king
@@user-2rx61Eu7zhe commented this 1h before the video was out, so i would guess at least early access
I hate how youtube doesnt send a notifaction when someone replies to a comment, had to search for the original comment to see the replies, anyway thanks! @cr4cker394
"Glasses are a sign of intelligence..." a few moments later... "Hey lookit! I got white eye!"
I died.
It is "Dear Etho," at the end you might say "thanks, Bdubs"
I remember you saying that the video style of Lowresbones was really intruiging to you. You have adopted his style very nicely! I think he is proud of you
I have also mentioned this before. I have also noticed that lowresbones recent builds with the world edit thingy videos he uploaded recently are sort of inspired/ with Bdubs.
Oh yeah! It's kinda amazing that they have both inspired each other. I remember that lowres mentioned that he was also inspired by BDubs and Hermitcraft in general, then Bdubs commenting in his video. I never thought about how BDubs was also influenced by his cinematic editing style from him too.
At first, when you first made the house I said to myself "This man is American/Canadian, so he must be making an American/canadian style farm."
But now, when I look at it, it reminds me a lot of farms in northern Italy, and I think that would be a good aesthetic to pull it all together!
I'm definitely getting a southwest europe industrial vibe, between the arches and the low elongated shape of the smelter building
Wait did he live in Canada?
Am I the only one wishing Bdubs would have his smelters all facing out so you can see when they're cooking? Having some facing a different direction is getting to me. 😆
It looks good like that. Breaks it up from being one big solid wall of furnaces
@@samlewis6487 But I _like_ the big, solid wall of furnaces. 🔥😁
the things I would do for 1 free bdubs build… oh my goodness
How long until "That is a Spicy Meatball" is the horn of the month ? 😂
bdubs i can’t believe you invented the super smelter!!!! truly the red stone genius of this generation
That introshot of the mailcabin in the forest! Simply stunning Bdubs.
And I'm sorry, but we need a biome sized forest of those trees, they're too good!
The hut is a perfect pottery.. could store all your terracotta pots!
7:24 weathered terracotta O_o....mojang be like ''yup....gonna add this in an update soon'' xd
You can make comparators read minecarts if theyre on a detector rail, but then as theye on a dector rail not a powered rail, you need to have the detector rail at an angle so the cart can move when you detect the amount you want inside. So you then have to use a piston or fence gate to block the minecart from moving off while refilling on the slanted angle, which then open/retract once the minecart is full enough.
I watch way too many RUclips videos and almost always skip past commercials. But I always watch BDubs commercials.
I really hope your conglomerate is spelled “Sure-T.” Still keeps the ‘shorty’ homophone while implying that your terracotta shop’s success is a ‘sure thing’
Bdubs pattended super smelter. Only the best
I think you mean shuper shmelter
Shor-Ty is off to a great start!
That super smelter looking super :D
Shore-T. build it on the beach
It is truly annoying how beautiful your builds are. Every time I watch one of your Hermit Craft Episodes it feels as though I am watching Bob Ross casually paint the Rockies. Your cinematic landscapes remind me of the palettes of Hayao Miyazaki, and the world building you do not only makes sense, but has a feeling of actual life. Your work is brilliant, and always makes me want to try building new concepts.
Idea: create wild carrot area. Use armor stand magic with candles for realistic WILD carrots 🥕. Add evidence of rabbits munches.
Rabbit holes 🐇 and fox dens 🦊
Armor stand magic + beet roots for red cabbage.
I'm sure someone else has said it, but you can actually detect how full a chest minecart is with a comparator. You just need to have the minecart on a Detector Rail. Now you know! :)
Got my preemptive "don't tell Etho" ready!
Bdubs builds a mock-up: god that looks horrible
Bdubs finishes the build: that is the most beautiful thing I have seen
39:34 At first I thought, "Oh, just a Bdubs redstone mistake". Then it was revealed to be entirely on purpose and functional.
Best plot twist ever
It's time, my time to be happy for 41:23 minutes. Thank you, bdubs, for being all of yourself.
As much as Joel's intros are interesting, Bdubs intros are very calming and cinematic...
13:17 bdubs, I like how you put the diamonds to pay and then took them out again. That’s hilarious 🤣
The style of building that bdubs has developed over the years has peaked today... the color palletes and blending are astonishing
The super smelter build is very pretty. Gosh Bdubs is cracked this season. Everything is gorgeous. Truely an inspiring builder! ❤
@24:30 I think the fact that you have this pulse extender in your repertoire demonstrates that you do actually have some redstone skill
This episode had EVERYTHING. Bunnies? Check. Building? Check. Perfect redstone first try? You know it baby. Collab and improv? Just 'cuz BDubs loves us. You made Ren break, which is a wonderful thing.
A red fire watch tower tucked into the forest would be an awesome addition to the trees!
The pacing of your series is amazing this season. The way everything is coming together makes it not feel like a mega build but you’ve done great work. Thank you Bdubs!
I wonder if it gets tiring to hear you're a genius all the time... But I'll say it again! I always find something valuable in Bdubs' videos that help me with my own art. Layering, perspective, color blending. I always appreciate these videos!!
Started watching bdubs as a kid back in 2013. Back when my only worry was if I got caught staying up late watching bdubs. Been awhile since Ive watched his videos ill admit. Ive finished school. Begun my career, and found my SO. Alot of responsibilities and problems to juggle and figure out as a young adult.
I'm glad I started watching him again. His editing has become masterful and still have the same charm I remember growing up. I love to see the man I admired as a child still creating amazing builds and funny videos. I've missed ya Bdubs
sorry if that made you feel old
Cub should absolutely make 6:08 into a horn 😂 Whether it's just the sound or the full " bleuhh i sound like a shulker box"
Bdubs calling a copper waxed slab a weather terracotta slabs shows how gathering from his silo truly had a big impact on his mental stability
Always entertained by your content, it's awesome!
Love the super smelter, Bdubs! Another idea for tying in the silos to the smeltery: you could have a couple of chutes running from the silos to the smelter. In those old English farmsteads, they often had a crude wall going around the barn, home, chicken pen, bull pen, etc. leading out to an apple orchard/grazing grounds. Excited to see where you go with it next! Keep up the great work, love seeing your vision come together!
BDubs at 13:41 : "At the end of the day, I paid the price, I paid for it"
Also BDubs at 13:18 : *takes his payment back out of the chest in addition to the hoppers*
can i just say your thumbnails are looking amazing this season? So simple yet so good!Your timelapses are also so sweet and calming!
A detector rail sends a different signal strength when your hopper has items in it. Which can be used to stop your minecart when it is emptied. You can increase your pickup time by having your double chest inline with your rails.
Bdubs, you help me with my depression. Thank you. I wish one day I can have a good friend like you. Much love.
Hey Bdubs. I’ve thought of something you can give to anyone who buys your terracotta. A coupon to a stack of dye from the hermit who has the permit. This will help the person with the dye permit and also convince hermits to dye their own terracotta.
I really hated the log cabin the first time I saw it, but every time I see it I like it more. Bdubs keeps winning.
I know what you mean... When it's new to your eyes & you're focused on it, it looks busy & kind of strange. But as more stuff gets filled in around it, and you get used to it being there, it looks more & more natural. Bdubs has vision, man.
7:45 , times are changing, bdubs taking building notes from mumbo with the metal roof with ridges. next mumbo will ask bdubs for redstone designs !
I had never used a super smelter before until Blue made one recently and wow is it a game changer!!! Now I understand the convenience and productivity increase!! The building the smelter is in is sooo pretty i love the colors. Fashionable and functional!
34:32 🤔 "...'SIGH'... This is the price of doing business with you... " 🙄 I can HEAR your pain Bdubs... 😆 Yahoo 2 of my faves playing together nicely... gotta love 'em!
weathered terracotta... stealing hoppers.... Gotta love this man xD
18:30 You can read minecart chests with a comparator if they're on a detector rail (comparator reading the detector rail)
I like the Build a lot. Don't get bullied into giving up the Permit. The winner should be the one with the better looking shop 😂. Small T ftw
I think the most efficient fuel is lava buckets. Impulse has loads of spare from his smelter and has a drip stone/ cauldron farming endless lava so he doesn’t run out of fuel. You can have a small lava farm like that behind your furnaces and link it up probably!
im at this weird intersection of youtube here, where bdubs reminds me of my english teacher in the way he talks and works, and his videos remind me of cabin building videos in the format and editing. im watching so many cabin building videos
18:17 comparator read rail below minecart, not minecart itself Bdubs. I'm sure you know this though on account of your redstone being flawlessly perfect and just forgot momentarily. We all have off days; even us super-geniuses.
hey bdubs, with the hopper minecart not collecting enough, you could also turn the chest 90 degrees, so both blocks the chest is on are on top of a rail. this would mean the hopper can collect some materials while in motion therefor the delay could be shorter. hope this makes sense.
The solution is an upward detector rail with a fence gate directly above the final powered-rail adjacent to the detector, compare the detector and open the gate once the cart is full enough.
The temporary rail prevents the other from updating back to flat while placing the rest, and subtracting a barrel of target number from the main comparator will compact the redstone circuit.
Careful not to place or destroy any other rails touching the diagonal rail after replacing the temporary rail with a block, and subtraction is the barrel signal running into the side of the detector.
Pffft, who am I kidding? Bdubs' redstone testin me!
Hello, BDubs! I want to take advantage of the moment of the person who managed to open the video IMMEDIATELY after its release and say that you are an excellent builder. And I watch your videos like a movies with wonderful music! Your buildings are simply incredibly thought out and your work with colors... Bob Ross from the world of minecraft!
Bdubs Ross
I love how you build to adapt, you don’t just stick to one style you innovate and change
Hi Bdubs, if you like interactive builds why not include a charcoal kiln at your base and you can use the charcoal for fuel? 1 log = 1 charcoal which will smelt 8 items.
You can use the slabs to smelt the logs so you are continuously creating fuel. I think the look of a kiln site would look pretty cool near a forested area.
Just watching this video for a second time on a screen larger than my phone, you are a cheat code for building sir. I "rebuilt" your mail room/log house in my solo survival world, and it's by far my favorite build. Thanks for the inspiration!!
Ah those lovely strings welcoming me back to the hoimitcraft server
i watch all videos on youtube sped up except yours. its really nice how the way u play minecraft translates over so well to my experience of watching that the slower pace feels satisfying when no other creator can pull the off for me, it feels really pretty
I am just in awe of the theatrical masterpieces that these videos are.
Church -> Lunch -> Bdubs
best Sunday ever
*Timestamps for the video*

If you put the scaffolding at the door, instead of in the middle of the silos, it will be easier to access the mud
I was impressed with the redstone with bdubz segment. It's a simple thing but he did a good job of solving the issue.
Tbh I really hope you don’t do the challenges 😭 you’ve put so much work into your terracotta!! The risk isn’t worth it!!!
