Ah, that's what it was! I thought maybe it was the postal system witht he chunk loading, but Bdubs is so far out of the way that that didn't make sense.

The fact that no trap could catch bdubs off guard and it took a social game in order for bdubs to die is fitting for a life series vet.
He would have died to Hypno's trap, or Iskall's suggested upgrade to the trap that got him.
No. If Iskall was in the Life series he'd win every single season with ease. The incompetency the Lifers have shown during Demise 2.0 is quite humorous. No wonder Grian didn't invite him.
@@tristanridley1601 if they had done iskall's suggestion maybe. The hypno trap is a maybe, he didn't trigger it until hypno was there and there's reason to believe that he wouldn't have triggered it like the many other traps that had been set.
@@miniciominiciominicio iskall is often busy with other projects during the life series. Also the majority of the life series deals with PvP and deceit which iskall struggles with. Iskall died to Scar of all people and it was due to Iskall not seeing the extra end crystal and getting over confident.
@@Praying_Mantis3 tbh hypno's trap would of gotten him at the start of the video. that trap basically instantly got beef as soon as he was running around that area just like the start of the video.

All of the last 3 standing deserve a lot of credit. It took coordinated large scale team operations to take Bdubs and xB out.

Them lying about the trap being a pufferfish is such a good way of getting Bdubs to fall for it. The seconds before he broke the table were dreadful, waiting to see if he falls for the (kind of obvious) lie.

The whole time I was just hoping he would let iskall take the hit, as his “protector”, and see him get banished from existence in the blink of an eye; would have been equally funny since iskall probably knew.

this video is even funnier having watched beef’s perspective and knowing that while bdubs is minding his own business taking down that hill that ren, beef, and iskall were just out of view watching him for a full 60 minutes and absolutely tearing into him for the insane way he plays the game LMFAO fave moment of the series so far hands down

Considering it was to just say if someone's visited, and it detected a visitor.. worked as intended
Grian always knew how to build a chimney. He went to Bdub's place for inspiration. Two different things lol
a false positive is (in this scenario) preferable to a false negative.
Living in paranoia for so long will have absolutely no permanent effect on Bdubs, who is such a level headed and calm person.

In hindsight, the best trap would have been to rig the blocks AROUND the suspicious crafting bench, so that it goes off when he checks for an observer under the bench. Or a trap under a full grown tree in the "alarm" grove.
They mentioned that as they were watching him, hindsight indeed
i know everyones talking about his Demise, but that big gap at the bottom of the terraformed bit (the "too low" bit) looks like a perfect spot for a creek

I think you were the only person to have died to social engineering. Also one of the times your trees grew was just Grian coming over to admire the architectural design of your chimney.
From Bdubs perspective you can see Iskall, Beef, and Ren generally keeping a safe distance from the crafting table in almost the exact radius of the explosion. Beef especially skirts the perimeter almost perfectly. In fact, it seems like Bdubs subconsciously keeps a similar distance from it until Ren says "He'd have to be like this close"

Honestly, I am glad you lost Demise because that moment of you loosing to your own hubris and clicking that crafting bench will go down in Hermitcraft history. It is absolute storytelling perfection. A mere win of a mere server game is for the season, but that moment, that clip, is forever!

Ren absolutely did trhe right thing by continuing to act sullen when he failed initially, it was truly one of the best hermitcraft moments of all time. Unrelated I'm kinda living for the wes anderson camera angles you're using in the editing haha
if he had just fallen for the trap it would've been whatever. The fact that he immediately recognized exactly what the trap was and ended up falling for it anyway makes it so much more bitter

I was not able to be disappointed because of how beautiful that trap was. It was perfect! Iskall used perfect Redstone and you were perfectly disintegrated. But, imagine for a second, three people (4 if you count Hypno) working for hours, waiting for another hour, having to use their plan B and plan c, and you blew yourself up into the clouds! If this were the Life series, you'd have won! Unless you got False to join, then you'd be 2nd place- but that's beside the point.

Here's a suggestion for that fabulous cliff you've crafted: perhaps don't fill in that area you think is too low! You know what I see? The PERFECT locale for a lil creek alongside that cliff. Could be a neat site to see the underground spring connected to your pond feed that. Also, opportunity for a beautiful lil bridge! Loved the EP!

So far, this has been the best Hermitcraft season yet. I love the slower pace to things and most of the builds are smaller and more detailed and is about community more.
