it's weird that most people in the comment section afraid that they gonna get rejected by these university bcos of bad grades .. of course you're gonna get rejected if you had a bad grades .. there's no other way in LOL at least for us who wants to study abroad
MissGourmandefr congrats!! Did you apply online or were you required to mail the application and documents? I’m currently working on applying and studying the language program next year!
4:17 exo shirt ! 😍 Hahaha. Love your dorm. This video is such a nice idea :)) Thanks! Please more vid about korea. I really wanna go there right now! 😭 but im only 12 yrs old :(( Lol
That is so cool! When I arrive to university, I plan on going away on an erasmus! I'm from Spain, I currently know 3 languages and not long ago I started learning korean, so I have to places in mind: one where the spoken language is English, and the other one is Korea. I guess when the time comes I'll decide, but if I go to Korea, would I need to have much money for like, an apartment, or a dorm or something like that? Btw, sorry if I made any grammar mistakes, I am a little bit tired so I barely know what I'm writing, hehe
black shadow get at least 3.5 GPA and above for stpm then apply for scholarship if possible. However, make sure that the Korean university that u choose is approved by the msian government or else u can't for a job here
Your voice is so relaxing! I love your building tour too! When you were deciding to study abroad, did you have many universities to choose from or did you know you wanted to go to Sogang? If you had many choices, how did you decide? Also, does Sogang offer a meal plan, or are you responsible for finding your own food during study abroad?
Thank you for your kindness :) When you were deciding to study abroad, did you have many universities to choose from or did you know you wanted to go to Sogang? -Yup, I was looking at programs from Yonsei, Ewha, and even Hanyang. If you had many choices, how did you decide? -Personally, I did soooo much research on each program. I also had to look at what I was trying to get from going to Korea (prioritizing on my speaking, over writing and reading), Sogang really worked on that. Also, does Sogang offer a meal plan, or are you responsible for finding your own food during study abroad? - For my program, we had breakfast and dinner, lunch was not included. But there are places in the plaza on campus that serve a cheap, but good lunch :) Hope that helped!
Are you familiar with the URSeoul resident? Im going to Sogang this spring, and wonder if I should apply for the URS instead of the dorm - what are your thought? Ty in advance
I have 3 questions 1. Does Sogang University allow students to choose roommates? 2. If you have 2 people in one room how does they acces to the room? 3. Can 2 people in one room access with 2 card? Hope you understand :)
I glad that my dorm is bigger than yours. (Feeling grateful). But unfortunately, to buy some necessity, we have to take grab. And boys and girls have their own building and we also don't have elevator here. Yeah😊✌
CandyWolf SweetMusic yonsei university is one of the top colleges in Korea and they have many English classes I think. I'm thinking of studying there myself!
I want to go to Korea but the only words I can say are hello and whistle ;) I promised myself to learn Spanish first because I live close to Mexico and I have a lot of Mexican friends, Spanish bloood and Spanish has some of the same tone soundings as Korean so I just though I'd start with Spanish first.
compared to chinese universities this is is heaven! the students there have to live in cramped up spaces (tho dorms are like that) they have no facilities. there's one washroom used by 12-16 people, peach walls with its paint coming off and god knows what. check it out. its no better than hell tbvh. ps: you're cutee
does your Korean university care so much about your highschool transcripts ?? I'm not good at school so I'm afraid they will not accept me :( please answer me.
Thanks! I got a scholarship including dorm for two terms at Sogang, but I read some posts online that there are no dorms that non-Korean students can get into!? But this looks fine! I'm excited! Was your roommate Korean? I'd prefer to live with a Korean guy to improve my Korean... And were all the rooms just two people in one room or some with more? Thanks again!
hey great video.. i got to know how a korean school dorm looks like!! :) can you post a video of your subjects and the extracurricular activities available in your school? :)
Wow That was super informative. Korea is better cool. Are you korean or international student? Is the room same for international student? And lastly you have beautiful voice.
not an alien the severity of it differs from person to person but its basically a fear of being closed in by something or being in small spaces. For example, I can not stand elevators and freak out at the sheer thought of going in. I also can't stay in certain classrooms with the doors closed.
I go to Towson University in MD, in the USA and I speak no Korean, i signed up through my study abroad office to go to Sogang this next spring semester. :D all classes you take will be in English and stuff. :D
Thank you for the tour! Very insightful :) I'll be studying in Sogang on exchange in 2019 1st semester. I am quite picky and like to cook my own meals. I am curious, is there a common kitchen area where the students can use to cook? Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks! Sally
Hi! I will certainly go to Sogang University for a summer programm in July. Can we apply for dormitory? Beacause people near to me said that dormitory are not available to the language center. But on the website of summer programm they wrothe the price of the dormitory. So I don't know what to believe 😓
@tamsquared, tanks for the video! I'll go to Sogang University in August. How is it handled with the time you need to be home? Like I heard that you really have to be in your dorm at 10pm every day! Is that really the case?
I'd say most of the universities in Seoul have a pretty good amount of international students. Don't be scared! It's a little intimidating at first, but people are friendly, just don't be shy and put yourself out there and you'll be fine :)
i want to apply at Sogang university but I'm afraid they will not accept me because my highschool grades were not very good so is that will be a big problem ???? and how much does it cast to study abroad in Sogang university ??? please answer me please :(
Já chego aí, Sogang University (Universidade de Sogang)! Aula de português para meus amiguinhos americanos ou sei lá o quê! Portuguese class Olá: Hello Oii: Hi Como vai você?/Tudo bem com você?: How are you? Meu nome é...: My name's... Eu sou...: I am...

How much are you paying right now? Where were you originally from(like US..)? How did you apply for the school? Is this school general studies? Or a majoring school?
Hey! First of all really good video and hope you continue showing us your life in Korea, but I was wondering if your university was strict on applications for example was it hard to get in and what exactly did you need to get in?
hiiiiiii, i really gotta edit again haha. But no, it wasn't super strict with the application process. How is school in Korea? And how did you get in? I'm planning on going to Korea for collage and Sogang is one of my options for collage. I'm only a Freshman so I have 3 more years of High School to go but I'm already considering Collage in Korea
Hello! I am planning to go to the same program this summer! I was wondering if you know how the Bellarmino dorm is like (quadruple room)? And what are the extra expenses they have besides the tuition?
Hi! I was wondering if you could do a Q&A video for your next video? I'm sure that way you could answer everyone's questions that way. I was also wondering if you could talk about nursing because I'm trying to be a registered nurse and get into a nursing program in California? Are you from California by any chance because that could help me a lot ahaha! Thank you! 너무 감사합니다 언니!
hi!! :) A Q&A about Korea, myself, nursing? Idk which it would be about haha. I actually have videos stockpiled about my nursing experience (school, NCLEX, studying) And no, I am nottttt. But many Nursing programs have similar requirements.
I’m watching this video now in 2021, I guess you have graduated. If you’re still here could you please tell us about your life after graduation from Sogang univ? Because I will attend to there next March!
hey great video , but I want to ask something that , are the all masters programs in English ? Or we will have to learn Korean language before applying
Hi :) How and where did you apply to stay in the dorms at Sogang? And how much did it cost you? I'm coming to Sogang in September but I still don't know where I'll be staying... thanks
Hi, very informative video. I was wondering if these dorms are only for the KIP students or for the regular KLEC students as well (10 week 200 hour). Thank you
i've been reading some comments, and i really wanna study aboard, but i live in norway tho so it's probably not the same opportunities. anyway; is it expensive, studying abroad the way you do?
I don't think it would be too hard. There were classmates from Sweden, England, Japan, Spain, and other countries! You definitely would have to save up a bit before you decide to make the move to study abroad.
Hey! I'm going to exchange to Sogang. I have a few questions about the dormitory life in campus. - Is there really bedtime? - Can I bring visitors to my room? - How hard rules are in dorm? Is there parties? Thank you
Hiiiiiii, it may or may not be the same but here we go -haha not really for the KIP students -nope, because the gate closes after each beep and there's some sort of "security" at the lobbies i would say. and CCTV -rules aren't super bad, but nope no parties. and really, you don't need to party in the dorms cause you're sooo close to surrounding party areas. hope that helped!
I kinda don't wanna go to college tho. I just want to get my scholarship so I can study in Korea because to me there's no point in going to college in America when I'm gonna live in Korea in the future and plus I want to be a model in Korea. But at the same time I don't wanna make my mom mad cause I know she'll probably want me to go to college but I don't want her wasting her money when I won't even be there long... And plus college and university is the same right?
Ok,sooo if i temporary move to Korea and am just curious about studying program and university life could i like talk to the principal or something and ask him if i can stay week or two (month if possible) in the dorm and attend classes and everything(just as normal student) but not study, write or get grades?Mainly what i'm trying to say is will they let me stay there and basically not do anything and just follow classes, listen as they talk and stuff without interference? Is it possible??
Hi dear i know it’s a bit late as i just found your video. I really really want to continue study in Korea. So if you don’t mind share how can i continue my study there and get a korean scholarship?

please answer me.
Daughter of Palestine i believe if ure a foreigner, all they actually care about is gpa.. depends on which uni u wanna go to tho :)
Wait so you mean it isn't the same in the West? Like do Universities there don't usually care about the student's GPA for them to get in?
This is nothing like my dorm... This is so nice.... I went to Kyunghee btw

I have extreme claustrophobia so I have one question! ARE THERE STAIRS? for students to use
ilive4anime what is claustrophobia?
yessss, there are stairs. but the stairwell can be dark, and its kindaa small

sooo do you have to speak fluent korean to go there or can u go even without knowing that much korean
I go to Towson University in MD, in the USA and I speak no Korean, i signed up through my study abroad office to go to Sogang this next spring semester. :D all classes you take will be in English and stuff. :D
you can go without knowing any korean!
Thank you for the tour! Very insightful :)
I'll be studying in Sogang on exchange in 2019 1st semester. I am quite picky and like to cook my own meals. I am curious, is there a common kitchen area where the students can use to cook?
Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks!

Hey! First of all really good video and hope you continue showing us your life in Korea, but I was wondering if your university was strict on applications for example was it hard to get in and what exactly did you need to get in?
hiiiiiii, i really gotta edit again haha.
But no, it wasn't super strict with the application process. I guess just a standard one, with sending my transcripts, doing a health checkup, and doing their uni application form.
Basically stuff like that, I don't remember having a hard time with turning any of the stuff in.
They did a good job keeping in contact with me before I left to go there.
Hope that helped!

I hope so bad that I will be accepted for the Sogang University semester happening in 2018 :)
Hi, very informative video. I was wondering if these dorms are only for the KIP students or for the regular KLEC students as well (10 week 200 hour). Thank you
Mmm, i think it's open to other programs, because we'd see other students who weren't in the KIP program
Love it!😉
i've been reading some comments, and i really wanna study aboard, but i live in norway tho so it's probably not the same opportunities. anyway; is it expensive, studying abroad the way you do?
Korea is cheap. Sogang is slightly( I guess, I'm not sure), more expensive because of its standard as you can see.
Thank you
Hiiiiiii, it may or may not be the same but here we go
-haha not really for the KIP students
-nope, because the gate closes after each beep and there's some sort of "security" at the lobbies i would say. and CCTV
-rules aren't super bad, but nope no parties. and really, you don't need to party in the dorms cause you're sooo close to surrounding party areas.
hope that helped!
You didn't show the cafeteria like you said?
Haha i'm working on it! Sorry for the wait
Hello, I just want to ask if they require international students to be able to speak and understand proficient Korean already prior to admissions?
