      To be honest, learning about engines in a more detailed manner like this, plus seeing shinny things going together properly. I'd say this is the best way to do your videos mate. Always waiting for the next one 👍🚘. Great vid

    The older Evo 3-4 had the thrust bearing built into the Middle bearing and they were said to be prone to Crank walk, I'm talking about 11:43.

    • @SouthlandFlyer
      @SouthlandFlyer 4 года назад

      Go back another generation and the 6 bolt engine had a single piece thrust bearing and they were much less prone to crank walk. Its just a gut feeling, but I suspect clutches with heavy spring pressures and or starting the engine with the clutch pushed is a contributing factor to crank walk.

    Oil squirted washes could of caused your original problems
    Good to see you using torco assembly lube always built my engines with it gives you extra protection on startup 👍🏻👍🏻

  • @_i-kr6eg

    Wrong All ARP main and head studs need the torque live on the threads . Why did you put in on the threads when you checked the oil clearance?.

      I did use Arp assembly lube you can see me applying it. You can also use 30wt oil and increase torque by 10ftlbs
