      Well, because the sanshayuum have absolute power over the races, less than them, I assume, somewhere along the line one of them, decided “fuck being an administrator, I want to go fight“, and no one told them otherwise. So they were able to give themselves the most drip.

      @AveSicarius Год назад +24

      The Elites were already a handful unaugmented and hindered by their warrior culture. Had they been augmented, they could EASILY have overthrown the Prophets at any time, hence why the Sanshayuum encouraged their warrior culture and kept them dependent both religiously and technologically.
      Humanity would also have had no chance given the Spartan's only barely changed the outcome of the war as it was, the Elites are already almost as strong (certainly stronger than unarmored Spartan's) and as fast as even armored Spartan 2's in ceremonial armor and were exceptionally lethal with just a Plasma Blade or Plasma Rifle, let alone the goodies the Spartan's usually had access to (which may have been relatively lower tech, but still very impactful on their performance).
      An Elite could probably wear custom Spartan armor without augmentation and be ridiculous, with the same augmentation they would possibly be the deadliest soldiers in the Haloverse.

      @@DuarfS The prelate is in the halo fractures portion. Shadows of intent and there is another novel Halo Divine wind where they are used. Also the San Shyuum were actually warriors before years of breeding error and distant inbreeding led to their genetic deviations and issue. Thats why selective breeding may take place by the best stock of the San shyuum race on high charity. They used the forerunner dreadnought to win the war vs the Sangehli and start the covenant.
      Years went by and as the generations of San shyuum were accustomed to anti grav chairs/belts as the prophets were too noble to fight and were religious figure heads for the hierarchs. They became dependant on the chairs for mobility. As they were outfitted with lasers, shields, and even some could full on fly with how strong they were.
      The prelates were enhanced San Shyuum that were very capable warriors and acted as the absolute Elite fighting force of their race. As there were few left and their augmentation can kill them if used too much. As they can force themselves to release chemicals from their brain to enhance their movements, speed, and general ability in combat. Leading to disorientation, numbness, nausea, and even death. Though these chemical outbursts can be manually used on demand.

    • @AveSicarius
      @AveSicarius Год назад +11

      The Elite's were already Spartan level opponents when you consider the upper ranks of their warriors. That's without even the use of technology in the same way as the Spartan's, who used every advantage that humanity could muster whereas the Elite's intentionally hindered themselves due to their culture. They weren't even using decent weapons or armor in comparison to the Spartan's (though Covenant Shields and Firearms are better in many ways) and were largely naked and unarmed relative to your average Spartan 2, but were still a deadly threat if underestimated.
      An Elite augmented with Covenant technology would be an absolute nightmare if they were enhanced to the same level. They are already nearly as strong and fast as ARMORED Spartan's, and could throw them around in a melee despite the Spartan's weight (though Brute's are probably stronger than both). Hell if we take the Halo short film compilation as somewhat canon, a single Elite pre-Covenant managed to annihilate an entire army (of other Elites) single handedly with only a Plasma blade (or at least I think it was, it might have in fact just been a sword, which would be even more insane).
      Where the Spartan's excelled and managed to cause such a huge impact in the war was tactical scale combat, a bit like the Astartes of 40K (very similar in why they are good soldiers actually). They are superhumanly strong and fast, sure, but their major advantage was tactical flexibility combined with their decision making speed allowing them to outmaneuver their opponents and make split second optimal decisions their enemy couldn't hope to keep up with. This was primarily due to their suit technology (and their augmented brain's but the onboard AI, targeting systems, and data feeds were game changing) and how it allowed them to act like a supercomputer focused on military strategy within that tactical scale. They could near instantly analyze a situation, form a plan, and choose the best possible course of action before anyone else could react. If the Elites had soldier's like that, I don't see how humanity could have done ANYTHING at all.

Remember in lore, modern humans we de-evolved, so it’s possible that she fixed MC’s dna to true human as she did have a soft spot for them, but in all likelihood I think we would have seen that by now. Mean forerunner era humans could fight one on one with warrior class forerunners evenly. Forerunners only won because of their ability to basically clone the best of themselves. It should be stated that the San'Shyuum that are so physically weak are actually only about half of them overall. The reason the ones we see in most of the stories (see Truth, Regret, and Mercy) are so weak is because they lived on High Charity for multiple generations, mostly letting the other races(Unggoy, Sangheili, Kigyar, and Jiralahanae) do the vast majority of the physical work. There are a number of San'Shyuum who still live on their home world, who are physically on par with Humans, Kigyar, and Unggoy. This knowledge mostly comes from one of the anthology books, where there's a story called Shadow of Intent, following one of these Prelates, on a stealth mission to their homeworld with the intention of bringing a group San'Shyuum women to High Charity, as there was a divide between San'Shyuum who lived on the homeworlde and weren't as keen on space travel and of course the San'Shyuum we see in the game's and most stories

      San’Shyuum were not at risk of being wiped out by the Sangheili. The war was a stalemate until the Sangeheili surrendered, knowing they would never be able to bring down the Forerunner Dreadnought

    What if modified the Harbinger modified their hands like they modify their shriveled, sausage bodies? The San'Shuyam love to gloat over the fact the Forrunners oversaw them last before Halo fired for the first time.

    The San'Shyuum (Latin Perfidia vermis, meaning "Worms of Treachery") or prophets, and the Sangheili (Macto cognatus, "I glorify my kin") were the first to form the covenant after the Sangheili were nearly defeated. I always wondered how the prophets could ever defeat the elites, now it all makes sense. I assume most of the technological advances the covenant have came from the prophets then?

    • @2killzore
      @2killzore 2 года назад

      The eites were space capable and militarized before they met the prophet's and both sides sustained massive casualties testimount to the sheer skill and brutality of the sanghili warriors.
      In the end the prophet's used the forerunner ship they had to blast the sanghili, ending the war I belive.
