The unpolished deep dive documentary aesthetic you have goin on is surreal, surprised more people having watched your stuff out of nostalgia or random recommendeds
I’m not even a fan of the bands but I watch all of cozy’s videos because he is the GOAT. His delivery is great, he has more character than a Saturday morning cartoon. One of the best on RUclips.
i remember going to $5 Summer Set shows back in 2007 before they were ever big in Arizona, so much fun. if i remember correctly they played at the Maine's Stay Up, Get Down EP release show.
Dont know how many people would agree with me but some other bands you can talk about also are Scary kids Scsring kids Forever the sickest kids Mayday parade The almost (Heavy bands) The devil wears Prada
i watch a gross amount of youtube, and honesty there is no ones videos i look forward to more than yours ! you don’t just hit my nostalgia bone hard, but your research and presentation is so incredible really can’t get enough of your content, appreciate the love and work that goes in to your videos, keep it up 🥰
I feel SO much nostalgia every time I watch your videos and have to go back and listen to all my middle school/high school playlists. I miss the warped tour days!
You can tell you always put so much effort and work into all of your videos which is why they're always so entertaining! Thank you for your hard work and giving us all such great content! I'm happy to see your platform is continuing to grow it seems, you truly deserve it!
It always impresses me you are able to rattle off a hour and a half video about these bands.. ..Impresses me more you somehow get me to sit here and watch the entire thing on a band I have never cared about or even listened to? Great video! Maybe I will go and listen to The Maine and have deep regret about missing out on their 2009 era. ♥
I love The Maine so much. They've grown so much over the years. Each album is different but still keeping their signature sound. Not a lot of bands can do that.
My girlfriend loves this band, she told me about them and I like quite a few of their songs. Thanks to her, I clicked this video! I also LOVED your video about Johnny Craig, that was insane to read!
Love watching your vids, its like a time capsule to my childhood. I would love to see a video on Nickasaur, early Owl City, and that whole side of the late 2000's myspace scene.
another quality upload. its just really trippy to have lived all this era first hand and then see it from someone else's perspective. keep up the great work dude.
Oh my god daisy was one of the first songs I ever heard by the Maine in middle school I used to listen to it on my iPod touch. Thank you so much for making this video, so much nostalgia !!!
Girls do what they want is to me, one of the absolute best neon songs of all time. It’s also perhaps a little funny how hip they are now, makes you wonder how many other indie rock bands are hiding a past like the Maine’s
@@Agentshadling understandable- I guess by “hiding” I mean people in general who may have gone from playing in neon pop punk bands to more serious indie rock as they got older. There are a few local musicians from my area where that happened. I should’ve written about people in general as opposed to a single band that lasts 10 years
I was obsessed with The Maine from the first time I heard “Daisy” on MySpace. Saw them live multiple times and was a die hard through American Candy. But I fell off at Lovely Little Lonely and never got back into them. Still happy they made their way and are still making music the way they want to and with integrity.
Yo so the clip you played for like 10 seconds of The Boys You Do (Get Back At You) by The Summer Set was my first time hearing it and I've been legitimately addicted to the song ever since. Thank you for blessing me with such a great song!
NICE DUDE. Can’t wait for the next video. The Maine is the one band I still actively follow from the 2008 MySpace years and their evolution musically has been *chef kiss* immaculate.
My 13 year old self is really jealous of your Forever the Sickest Kids jersey jacket 👀 ALSO thanks again for such a great video ❤ love what you do man it's like jumping back in a music time machine.
You've mentioned them in a few videos, but would LOVE a deep dive into From First to Last! One of my favorite bands from the scene and lots of then-drama that would be so interesting to see a deep dive into now.
The Maine is such a sweet palette cleanser after the Jonny Craig sagas. WOW! What a fascinating origin story and it is amazing how smart and savvy they were at such a young age. I miss the "flattening your side swoop of hair " tic! Well done Cozy!
PART 2! You got yourself a new subscriber! The Maine is my all time favorite band! Thought I knew much about them, but when you started talking, I’m like “let me sit my ass down” 😂
First time I saw the Maine live was in 08 at the Compromising of Integrity, Morality & Principles in Exchange for Money tour with ATL, Every Avenue, and Mayday Parade. Was my first concert ever
I was not super into The Maine in their neon pop punk days as I was into the heavier side of the Warped Tour scene. Their album Pioneer though was a game changer and got me to listen to them. I haven't kept up with them since the release of Forever Halloween but I'm glad they're doing well for themselves on their own terms.
I went to the farewell show of SCARY KIDS SCARING KIDS. Damn good show! I grew up in the same neighborhood as SKSK. It was awesome knowing a band i really liked was creating music right around the corner.
Soundtrack of Your Summer tour was the first concert I ever went to and I remember learning The Maine were going to be opening, listening to all their music on Myspace, and having the BEST time. They were the first band I ever saw live. I love all your videoes but this video was extra fun to watch :')
Another great Video as always. Cant Stop Wont Stop is still one of my favorite Neon albums. I kinda dropped off the band for a while during that Pioneer and Forever Halloween era because their sound wasnt really for me but I love how much they have grown.
Great video as always! I'm constantly looking forward to your uploads, feels like I'm chit chatting with my friends about our fav bands when I watch. Keep up the great work!
Great video Julian!! I saw The Maine in February having not really heard them (I went for Stand Atlantic who were supporting) and they absolutely blew me away. The singer is such an incredible entertainer and they just have so many fun songs. I will defo check out their early stuff after having watched this video!
I’m so pumped you made this, the Maine is my all time favorite band (I even have a tattoo with some of their lyrics) and they fully deserve to be recognized for how far they’ve come and how true to themselves they’ve always been. Great job!!
I really do love your passion when it comes to the scene pop punk music scene. I was so into neon pop punk back in the day but somehow never listened to any music from The Maine!
It's so crazy you actually brought up Daphne Loves Derby, I have been listening to them for years and I feel they are incredibly underrated and unknown! I got excited just hearing you say that lol
I really appreciate this video. I discovered the maine at "the soundtrack of your summer" tour and worked my way backwards learning their albums and music. I've been a fan since and still love them. I saw them again in 2019 on the mirror tour. Was such a cool experience to see live how far they've come. Also, this is the first video of yours I've seen and I'm so glad it was in my news feed. YOURE WONDERFUL.
The Maine is my absolute favorite band, been listening to them since the Black & White album, but I didn't even know some of these early facts about them! What a fun video! I love Can't Stop, Won't Stop. I feel like it was perfect for that time, and hearing all the songs now is really fun. I definitely agree with you in that they've gotten better as time has gone by! Anytime I tell someone about The Maine, I always gotta explain they are so much better than the neon pop band they remember them to be haha. Hope to see that part two soon :)
I still love the wave of Of neon pop punk 2006-All Time Low-put up or shut up,Mayday Parade-tales to tell dead friends 2007-The Maine-The Way We Talk Was my gateway for the neon pop punk era

I love that this exists!
Seriously! Started watching with the never shout never videos and have binged the whole channel
Ok
What is this? A crossover episode?
Wtf are u doing here Finn? Get back to ur channel where u belong lol 😂
Fancy meeting you here, sir.
The unpolished deep dive documentary aesthetic you have goin on is surreal, surprised more people having watched your stuff out of nostalgia or random recommendeds
The Maine is probably one of the very few bands in every genere that has arguably aged the best...like the finest wine
Ur shirt is so Myspace 2008 profile and I'm here for it
The Way We Talk is a timeless song.
Yo love ur channel bro!
@@rideordieclothing ayyyy thanks

i remember going to $5 Summer Set shows back in 2007 before they were ever big in Arizona, so much fun. if i remember correctly they played at the Maine's Stay Up, Get Down EP release show.

I'd like to second this, but especially Bayside pleeeeeease!
I'm here again! Watching a documentary about music and a band I have never heard of.. but you make me feel like I was there! 👌🏾😊

Oh my god this is what I’ve been waiting forrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!! SCREAMINGGGGGGG 😭😭😭 the fact that you mentioned Lydia too .....
Can’t Stop Won’t Stop is one of my favorite albums as of recently. Thanks for putting me on Cozy!
hell yeah! glad to hear that :)
these videos max out my serotonin levels omg thank you
This video came at the right time for me. I just started listening to the maine abiut a week ago.
Dude I’ve been waiting for this video! Always loved the Maine, I didn’t know daisy was their first song! I used to watch that acoustic videos all the time when I was in college.
Its amazing how Garrets Bass Swagger has always been there.
Love your videos!!!! It’s so fun to revisit my favorite bands from my teenage years. Would love to see an MCR video from you!
Keep up the great work, Julian!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
John, having never shown interest in music until he was 18, yet becoming one of the most outstanding composers (at least to me, no one puts my feelings into songs the way he does) in so little time, is just crazy. I don't even believe in this kind of stuff, but I'll choose to call it fate

thank you for your service
I'm SO excited to watch this
I know this is gonna sound cringey as hell, but I've literally wanted to make a channel like this for years. Not sure if anyone's suggested this but it'd also be really cool if you could cover A Day to Remember in a future video, unless they're another one of those bands you wouldn't feel comfortable making a video about haha
We need a part 2!!!
I live in az. Can confirm the heat and boredom.
Your Tshirt commercial was hilarious 😂 😃
I got to see The Maine here in AZ at The Van Buren back in November. It was the last concert I went to last year. I was supposed to see The Format back in July but that got pushed to next year.
