I bought one when they first came out and, though I'm glad they re-released the twin graph, it's not a patch on the AE20 I had as a young whipper snapper.
1:29 - I completely agree, it's the reason I haven't purchased the watch (it looks amazing otherwise), but all the images and reviews I've seen of it the display always looks like this, as you say as if it needs a new battery.
The forwards/backwards setup of the right side buttons becomes rational when you think of them as clockwise and counter-clockwise buttons (and not up/down, more/less) which I think is their intent, this being a watch and all
I like the module of this model. The speed is not important to me, the 4 fast hour different hours, the biggest analog watch compared with the Casio Royale. If they launch this model full metal case I will buy it without a doubt.
Love the reviews. Would like to see you take a shot at some timex digitals - they are putting out a bunch these days it seems (along with reissues of some classics)
I don't really love the black colorway--it's too bland with little difference between the dial and case--but love my grey one. Sure, there's lot of things going on, but they're all decently big and legible. Lots of functionality--world time, countdown with seconds, analog to keep time while in other modes. Some of the pure specs could be better, but a great small and light resin Casio with a tonne of character and utility. But like... not really worth the markup that's often placed on it. It's an MSRP watch at most.
Yea, I think this watch is super stylish, but as you pointed out there is a lot of questionable functionality. Otherwise I'd buy as a daily wear in a heartbeat.
@@superlink235 well, I don't need water resistance for daily use. Screen sharpness is not noticeable once you done playing with your watch and just simply use it. Slow menu is not that bad when you done playing with the watch and just use it as well. I like how small it is and has the same vibe as f91w yet is has a proper timer which I need daily. It is amazing watch actually.
The same “grayness” and view angles made me suffer with some my Casios. “Tilt and turn to enjoy crispy digits” - that kind of display says, and it’s a pain.
Even knowing all the disadvantages of this watch, I still ordered them for myself, I just like the way they look. Well, the price is more than reasonable.
Hello country-neighbor! Do Casio have ANY watch where you can put a timer that peeps/vibrate every 5 minutes (random example)? Useful if you are running for 160 km and you need reminders to eat/drink for example.
I really like the look of this watch...I know you can say this about a lot of Casio watches that actually came out in the 80's....but this looks so damn 80's retro futuristic . It looks like a watch Michael Knight wears. It's a shame that it's so flawed and it's actually not cheap. Easy pass...
What about the backlight? Does it have 24h display? And I guess you can't change the place of month and day, as in 30-10 instead of 10-30, which is pretty annoying for Europeans.
backlight is a single led in the bottom left corner, but strong, yellow-orange color. Has settings in the menu where you can choose for how long it would shine 1 or 3 seconds. It does have 24h display. Day and month can not be swapped as far as I know. But it all goes in a logical order day > date > month.
I tried it on at a retailer and was severely disappointed. Starting with how chinsy it feels. Casio brags about using biodegradable materials for this one, which is not good for a watch. I buy a watch to keep it forever or to pass it on to someone else. For a watch, biodegradable means landfill in three years.
Well, back in 2005 (or whenever), when Steve Jobs told us we were too stupid to know what we needed, the World and it's mother hailed him as the second Jesus. Now, when Casio adapted a display to the most ergonomic tilt of the wrist, every youtuber expert wannabe gets their panties in a twist and calls it "defect/oversight/fault/flaw". Even the Mad Watch Collector put this watch on the "2023 don't buy Casio list", which goes to show even so called Casio watch experts are actually full-of-shit-foneys. Casio obviously studied how much people usually tilt their wrist while feeling 100% comfortable and they adjusted the display''s visibility accordingly. Seriously now, people nowaday are really too stupid for their own good. "The best argument against democracy is a short discussion with the average citizen". They credit this saying to Churchill. I don't know if he's the originator, but seriously, 99% of the World's population are waaaaaaaay below average.
what the fuck are you talking about :D Casio studied how much people usually tilt their wrist :D Good one :D Study the fuck you want, if it looks shit it looks shit.

Just bought mine, arrives on Saturday super excited!- Cheers Nicholas

Good to see you back
I got this model recently. Nice, compact, and yet so multifunctional! The only thing I might not like is led backlight and not EL.
This would be great in a stainless steel case. Are you going to review the AE1500?
I'm very interested in your opinions on that model
My white one just arrived, which I really like the colour of :)
Would be interested in your thoughts on the A1100

do it. It has become my main watch now.
@TomasWatchReviews really? Even with all the issues you've listed? Still your main watch?

Hi, not convinced though I haven't had this watch on my wrist. I think the Royale looks better, has better specs and his cheaper.

it is still one of my favorites
I had the Twin Graph in the 90s so I love it now! ^_^
Cool. Review. Ty for this.

Casio should have spent another $25 (retail equivalent per unit) getting some of things right. Would sell even more!
Love it 😀
Very good video. I wear Casio digital watches with 10 year battery.
i like the way You review . From Vietnam
Super analysis
What is the battery life.. nothing found about battery life on Amazon description box of this watch.....Sir

Casio....Plz make smaller and smaller dial watches till the world exists.

Dudes really complaining that a $20 watch won’t stand the test of time 😂
Mediocre. Casio can do better.
They became lazy same as Seiko
I think for rrp it is good

By definition, 49% of the world's population is below average.
It’s a very disappointing watch.
