Calling out shiv ezreal players for not landing W hurt me phisically even though it should have been magic damage

0:36 there is a aimbot mechanic for ezreal with EWQ and it's not a bug, although very hidden mechanic:
If you:
1. Play with unlock camera (locked sometimes works but is funky)
2. Cast E and end up within AA range of enemy champion
3. Pressing W/Q/R without moving your mouse, would auto aim directly in middle of that champion position (that it was at the time of E teleport ending)

Yes you need vision of the enemy for that to work.
sometimes doesn't work on river/altitude changing spots because spaghetti.

It’s cool seeing someone use the superior rune setup. Electrocute gives you so much more damage and can’t be proc’d by the enemy. WE + auto + electrocute + Luden’s/Lich/shiv is often enough to get a kill

the real reason shiv win rate is so low it's because it's actually that bad lol
it was good because it oneshotted mage minions and had a good AP ratio against champs and lost both these thing (so sad)
right now it's just a stack stick of mostly bad stats with the shadow of a good passive
I tried it and switched back to manamune after a couple of games
" but what about weivclear?!" Max Q first, less funny but you have now the option to deal meaningful damage without jumping into the enemy team
Because it took me so long to edit this video, that's actually the winrate of the item *before* the shiv nerf
I'm fully convinced that it is/was mainly people first timing Ezreal mid (a difficult champion, in a lane with burst mages and assassins) and sucking lmao.
If you're going AP, then you have to get Shiv in order to participate in the game normally. If you think the stats on Shiv are bad for Ezreal, you aren't autoattacking enough - especially early game when it is safer to do so. Crit chance is the only stat on there which I think is half wasted, but the item is already more than 100% efficient as of today's patch, and the passive on top more than makes up for it.
AP isn't optimal for Ezreal overall, but that's not the point. You can't oneshot people at range with AD, which is the funny part. Ezreal's W also uniquely has the AP ratio itself increase with points in it, so you're losing out on a 20% AP scaling in addition to 220 base damage. If your goal is to blow someone up midgame onwards then you don't want to max that last.
@@Ozlu I don't think AP Ezreal needs Shiv at all to function properly, it's just that Shiv was so good before the "LeBlanc nerf" that it made AP Ezreal hard to ignore;
also W max first is bad even going full funny burst, 20% AP ratio is all you get from leveling it up and it's not relevant early, E max gives you nearly the same base damage while also getting a drastic cooldown reduction, which also aligns it with W cd almost perfectly and wrap things up... yes, I don't auto attack champs a lot, but if there is a thing playing bot taught me is that you are NEVER safe while autoattacking (as long as the enemy can perform any action), so no I'm not going to start extensively trade with autos in a lane where almost everyone can blow you up just by standing in their line of sight just because I need to justify the purchase of my shiv, especially when manamune is as good as ever
@@ultimatemacchia If you're going to not autoattack because you're scared then yeah shiv is a waste, but that's on you. You gotta learn how to get the autos in around the enemy's burst. That's not an Ezreal specific thing either, that's just core to playing midlane.
@@Ozlu I mean it's not like I never auto, I either go for it when I'm 100% sure I'm not gonna get punished or when I'm too deep and I have nothing left to lose
So I don't play around autos, they are happy accidents to me
Also if we assume we're definitely gonna wave autos at the enemy when we trade isn't Nashor a better first item? especially now that Shiv got nerfed *again*
for just 200g more you get 100 AP instead of 45 AD, 20 extra attack speed and 15 AH to replace the stinky crit chance;
instead of the "boundtobeendlessynerfedbecauseproplayisamistake" funny zap you have now
scaling on-hit damage for both waveclear and damage purposes
It's something you could try alongside the EWQ max order
