    Working with a constant light takes me back to the days I learned to light on film sets - but the lights are a LOT cooler now!

    Great video,
    I was wondering, Do you use the color passport2 after you take the light exposure?
    i'm a photographer, and i've never shoot with continues light. But, after watching this video, you encouraged me to give it a try
    Thank you for the hard work

      I haven’t because I can dial in the color temperature on the light to match the camera settings. My studio ambient is 3200k and i dialed the light to the same and set the camera to tungsten; easy peasy. NOW, if I were doing product work, I would definitely use it. Thanks for watching!

    As a portrait photographer myself I have to ask why you would teach broad lighting rather than short or loop lighting. Especially given that the model does not have a slim face?

      Not teaching any of that. 99% of viewers to these videos neither know nor care about it.

    Isn’t it annoying for the model when the very bright LED s are shining right next to whole session time. Modelling light and a flash would be better way to go? But of course we all need some changes at time to time to keep us sharp.

      Well, if you’re only doing a Portrait, that’s true but a lot of people are doing video lighting these days, so that’s kind of why I’m doing this series.

    What size reflector are you using?

    • @CoffeeandPhotographyTalk
      @CoffeeandPhotographyTalk  8 месяцев назад +1

      This is a 60 inch reflector. You really don’t need one that big for a head and shoulder shot. It’s just the one I have out in the studio so I can do full link portraits. Thanks for watching!

    You might consider showing side by sides. Otherwise it’s hard to see the differences.
