Great video Chau! I know you will get through the burnout phase. Come back stronger than ever. Burn out is real and I feel like after watching your video that I feel like I'm going through burnout at work. I use to have a manager when I first started last year, but my manager recently left in May and there hasn't been a new manager hired since. I report to our VP of software Engineering. I wish there was more managers that would take the time and just catch up and make sure you are doing okay professionally. Been working on the project now for over a year. I just feel burned out from this project. Am I looking forward to going back to work tomorrow, no, but just keep cranking at the project at hand and get it done effectively.

I don't think we should normalize that burnout is normal. If we're constantly going in and out of burnout that means that we probably need to significantly underpromise others/ourselves on what we'll get done so there's not this feast or famine thrashing all the time. It's similar to crash dieting / gaining weight back and forth. It's better to just try to find some middle ground, stable path throughout.

Oh, thanks Justin! I really appreciate that! That's just what I really needed. Oh, and I like some of your phrases popping up on the screen. Tha tis something brand new in your videos. Could you please share some videos about your usual working day and daily routine. That would be nice of you. Thus we could spend the whole day with you. Thanks 4 your work. Peace, man! )))

I can totally relate to putting all your eggs in the 9-to-5 job. It’s hard to escape that. And that is what I am struggling with.

Sick video. I’ve been dealing with burnout too and I am scared to get back to work because I don’t want to feel this way again. Nice to know there are other people in the same boat 🚤.
