what nobody talks about is how even healthy relationships are discouraged in indian families even when you are an adult and old enough to make your life decisions. so the prime teenage years when you should be learning how to bond and have healthy connections, you are asked to not get too many friends or dont go out so much, which ends up having a negative impact on a teenager and that person will struggle to find a connection or be scared to commit even if they want to because they constantly feel they're going behind their parents back and doing something wrong and feel guilty about it.

When I was in Canada, people used to rate Indians as least attractive. I always wondered why Good Looking Indian Man = Average looking white man. People used to compliment me by Insulting an entire ethnicity, they'd say stuff like "You're not ugly despite being Indian" I'd say " But I'm still more good looking than you, what hurts you more? The fact that you're not a good looking white guy or the fact that an Indian guy is more handsome than you?" the level of racism is high. Non-Indian women only go for good looking Indian guys but Indian women throw themselves at white guys. Especially the darker Indian women. The fairer Indian women don't throw themselves at white guys. Thats what I noticed in my 7 years in Canada.

Dating is exclusionary by nature. We as Indian men do not decide to date black women before moving to Canada right? We always think about white women. Similarly they may not have seen someone as good looking as you who is an Indian with brown skin. It breaks the stereotype of being brown but still being attractive, so its confusing for them. It is not racism, because you are not being discriminated, but racial preference. You will see asians with asians and white people with whites. It is more of a culture thing. Humans love to stick to familiar cultures and people. Inter racial couples are not as common in the West just as inter caste marriages are not as common in India. It is slowly changing though. Just a week ago, I got catfished by a female match. She literally asked to meet after 5 mins of talking, and my desperate ass, sensing all the red flags, ignored it. In most college programs, the gender ratio is 80:20. 20 being female. Therefore, there is more demand for each girl than each boy. If the girl wants to date, they already have so many options. They have 100s of request pending on their insta. Their request section is a dating app in itself, hence most indian women don't use dating apps cause there is no need for them to do so.
Same in usa, there gender ratio in clgs is close to 50:50. Hence, both girls and boys have options. Hence, more females use dating apps over there. Hence, more matches.

Very true! The *vast majority of females want a white male who looks like Pitt,Cavill or DiCaprio. That's why as a black male who has lived in London, UK for decades (and keeps fit , eats very healthy food, doesn't smoke, drink alcohol)...I no longer try and ''compete''. Not worth it when all I see now (especially in the more affluent parts of London) are lots....and I mean LOTS of non white females( especially from South east asia) with white husbands or boyfriends.

If you have high affordability, you can avail Premium benefits, higher chance of matching, etc. But if the service is meant to help me find a partner, why does my affordability play a role in it?
As an alternative I suggested getting restaurants, cafes, theatres as advertisers to provide avenues for a "date", provide offers and help them generate revenue too.

Dating in India as a Man is difficult. Like if u are a woman then 70% of work is done if u r good looking and attractive. For Men they literally have to be over the mark in mostly everything like looks, muscles, height, confidence humour and maturity. Which makes dating a cut throat competition for Men in India.
And I feel this is our fault. It's we men who give women way more attention, validation that they don't even deserve which makes them feel over the sky.
As a Man it's better to be picky and not be desperate for women. Have some standards and approach only when the other person is worth it. Not every woman deserves our precious time and efforts. It’s actually simple, we Indians especially males think in a vacuum. In terms of international dating scene it’s all about adapting to what’s the fashion standard of the current generation, which i feel like we lack when it comes to international dating scene.

Great video. It's quite sad how so many people are falling prey to this sham of online dating- if you can even call it that. A majority of people are just on it passively- which is much worse. It's eating up your potential to actually be a loving, caring person someone would want to be with. I would personally recommend staying off of it and stand out by not being a part of that toxic space. You will actually start looking at things that matter.

The problem is the dating apps have monopolized dating by becoming the only space where its become socially acceptable to approach women with explicit romantic intentions in mind. Anywhere else you go to try to meet women in real life and women will be on their anti-social shit and be all like, “ew no don’t talk to me I did not come to the gym/bookstore/coffeeshop/grocery store/work/bar/anywhere else to get hit on.” Women have to take some responsibility and start giving men safe openings where they can try to make an approach without fear of being called a creep. Because if they don’t then the only men who will ever approach will be the actual creeps who don’t care about your personal space or comfort.

The only reason I try dating apps is because its extremely difficult to socialize with women. The most female interaction I have in person would be while ordering food in hotel. No place I go has women who are ready for relationship, not in gym, office, cafe, middle of the road, sidewalk, grocery store, petrol station, biker meets, movies, .... (gym is the worst, every woman there is accompanied by at least 1 guy and they look like they'd pick up a fight even if I remotely try to approach their woman). Even in dating apps, it is extremely difficult to build a healthy conversation (first of all, I never matched with an attractive woman). I think the only way for men to survive is to visit Thailand on weekends.

Internet gives us certain freedom but our social cultre from the outside is still conservative. Even if you had aproached me in a park just to talk and I, a woman was lonely and looking for a partner, I would still be hesitant to go chat with you or go anywhere with you.
Thus the whole point of making connection outside is not possible unless you are in school, college or in a workplace where people like you.
