DCI Tour Day in the Life - Bluecoats 2017

- I dug up some old footage from the DCI 2017 tour and threw it together to show you guys what a typical day was like on tour with the Bluecoats.
It can be pretty monotonous… Wake up on the school gym floor, rehearse during the day, shower/pack, go to the show, perform, get on the bus, travel to the next school, repeat… But there was something therapeutic about waking up every day without having to worry about the stresses of normal life and just focusing on drums corps, doing my job, building friendships, and being the best I could be.

Very cool video, nice to see life on tour hasn't changed much over the years. I marched with the Bluecoats in 1984. Go Blooo!
05-07 bloo mello for me and i totally and completely agree. the laid-back genuinely funny vibes persist, and they've been kinda sorta throwing down out there on the field lately too.

Kyles having fun in Ohio..
The field at 7:15 was one of the best fields I marched at on tour IMO. It’s a grass field but the grass was so soft while also staying complete out of the way of our feet

Could u elaborate a bit? He was already the battery section leader of a top 6 DCI Corp, so he was in a pretty good place already.
@@RishiJalukar well not only did he win, he broke a percussion record along with all of broken city of course, and he even further elaborated in the vlog that it was never really about winning, he just wanted a fun ageout year

I loved that show so much. That was my first year getting to see DCI at Allentown and seeing Bloo was the coolest thing ever

Matt Thoink you don’t know that; genetics can help determine metabolism. the person also could be eating healthy food too so you never know
@@whatamidoing8266 Yeah, I spend 5 days or more in the gym lifting, doing Jiu-Jitsu, and cardio... I eat pretty well, although I can always improve on my diet and work to be healthier. But by no means can I eat the way some of my friends do that are the same age as me, eat like shit, and still have abs... Sooooo no, I don;t put only garbage in my body.

Matt Thoink you didn’t answer my question... what in my reply showed that i was naïve? But i agree with you- to an extent. You don’t have to eat less, it’s more what food they’re eating and their exercise routine that determines weight

If you are basing it off my judgement then that would be opinionated. we are all allowed to have opinions, some can vary. such as yours, which is a complete opinion, a stereotype let’s say. so no, i am not naïve.

"rediscovered some old footage".... 2017 wasn't very long ago. that hardly qualifies as "old". I have vivid memories from 1995's season in my head yet, and it still feels like yesterday at times. old would be.... 1960s or so.
