    Word of encouragement:
    When starting a restrictive eating plan, or trying to cut out foods either for a time period or forever the first month is do-able, not terrible bc you have lots of motivation and momentum. What makes it hard is just getting used to it. Month 2 and 3 are always the worst. Month 2 and 3 are full of reminders and cravings and frustration and this is where most people give in. Don’t. Just stay the course. If you make it month 4 and beyond, your mind is already renewed in the foods your eating that you no longer need to indulge in the other things and if you partake of something your cutting out, it really is because your making an honest decision that that is what you want rather than your body and brain demanding it’s what you need. 4 months at least will restore your relationship with food. Just go for it, set your goals and keep on. It really is so worth it and once you get over the hump, it is smooth sailing.

    • @Carnivore1959
      @Carnivore1959 6 дней назад +2

      Interesting...it's no longer "restrictive". I shop meat, seafood, eggs a few veggies occasionally, bacon and butter. That's it. Can afford ribeye bc I only eat OMAD...never hungry, zero cravings. Started keto 4 yrs, now pretty much carnivore as it's just EASY. Age 65 and zero meds, energy thru the roof, labs are excellent. Haven't even had a cold in 4 years.

    • @JeremyandCaty
      @JeremyandCaty 5 дней назад

      @ that’s awesome!!! I always wanted to try Omad with some veggies but always got stuck on month 2. Then my fourth baby had bad eczema and in effort to clear it up I cut out everything but meat, veggies, eggs and fruit. It sucked at first but he was my inspiration. Almost a year later this way of eating is super easy, enjoyable and I feel great! And his eczema is cleared up. I do miss raw dairy but he’s still sensitive to it. So when I’m done breastfeeding I’ll get back into that haha. So crazy you mentioned never being hungry because my hunger cues has truly changed to no longer feeling “hungry” but just when I need to eat I get a pretty solid headache or super super sleepy. I have four kiddos ages 6 and under and feel healthier and more energetic than ever! So crazy that good food does so much for you🙌🙌 just gotta put in the work!

    I didn’t know how the high fructose damaged the liver. I have read labels for years and always looked for MSG. I did know the order meant the highest quantity. This is one reason I don’t use Ketchup. Tabasco is much better.

    I am from Austria and we usually only eat dark bread, often sourdough and often with some visible grains. In my opinion its nit much better for the gut then the withe bread. Ok maybe no glyphosat and toxins which is great but with regards to the blood sugar its still spiking as much. Also in the dark bread the flower is processed and milled and the blood sugar spikes. Also IF i buy it from litterally any store I still get a lot of bloating because the bread dough was not given enough time to rest. So I think in general we can say bread is unhealthy and not good for the blood sugar. Maybe if you really bake your own sourdogh and let it rise over night with organic flower then its a little better then others but the blood sugar issue is still there and it makes me addicted! Once I eat bread I only want to eat bread! Its better to leave out totally for 14 days to check and later only eat very occasionally

    High fructose corn syrup is pretty much everywhere. I was completely addicted to sweets and carbs for, especially at night for literally decades. Dr Mindy’s videos changed my life in such a miraculous way in which I can never thank her enough. To the community, my biggest tip for after dinner is making some sort of high fat whole milk plain yogurt and mix in a protein or flavored collagen powder and a tablespoon or two of milk. Once mixed, add any kinds of berries. My fav is blueberries with a few strawberries. I cut the strawberries into smaller pieces. Then I add some raw sliced almonds or raw pecans and top the whole thing off with drizzles of no sugar NO PALM OIL peanut butter. This is so amazing and filling and the high healthy fats are so satiating that it keeps me happy for the entire night. No waking up scouring for carbs and the plain yogurt is amazing for my belly. Thank you my hero Dr Mindy❤ ❤

    I dont eat grains am typically carnivore / keto carnivore BUT do we really need fiber if we are getting a ton of good fat? Carnivores / drs that support carnivores state fiber is not necessary, fat does the job - do you agree with this ?

    I am always confused on legumes. Are they protein or carbs?

    • @DrMindyPelz
      @DrMindyPelz  24 дня назад +1

      Hi, Legumes, such as beans, peas, and lentils, are inexpensive, healthy sources of protein, potassium, and complex carbohydrates, including dietary fiber. On average, legumes contain about 20-25% protein by weight dryly, which is 2-3 times more protein than wheat and rice. 🙂

    Yes, I read ingredient label. Oh great, my husband was right again... Ok, now I'm right... no natural flavors. Telling my husband about the need to cut it out, started but not quite implemented yet. This health this is quite the journey.

    My nutritionist had me give up wheat (go gluten free) 12 years ago because I had eczema. Burgers and sandwiches are SO much better wrapped in lettuce!! White bread is a flavor robber. I can start to itch and get a little rash from certain corn and coffees. I don't think I am gluten sensitive. I think I am chemical sensitive. I researched and same pesticides are used on these crops. I have way better energy on nature's carbs!
