  • I'm using the extension "Chessconnect" on Microsoft Edge to play a bot on chess.com. It will also allow online play of matches on both chess.com and lichess.org. Additionally, you can play the bot on lichess too.
    Here, I'm experimenting with moving my PC's Bluetooth (which is on the motherboard) closer to the DGT Board BT circuit board to see if I get a stronger connection and can overcome the interference I'm getting from the monitor (or possibly the surge protector).
    Seemed to work fine during this match. My only issue was occassionally not moving the opponent's piece or miss-placing it. The extension is fairly informative in audibly correcting those types of miss-moves.

    Thanks! Can You be more specific and tell me what exactly is the extension? Thanks!

      You can add extensions to your Web Browser. They are like add-on apps. This extension works on chess.com or lichess.org and requires a DGT e-board.
      This is the link for the Microsoft Edge extension
      chromewebstore.google.com/detail/dmkkcjpbclkkhbdnjgcciohfbnpoaiam
      For Google Chrome; goto manage extensions and search for 'Chessconnect' is web store and install it.
      If you search the chess.com forum for 'Chessconnect', there is 26 pages of user discussions on this extension.
      This link should get you there:

    Can You castle on board?

    • @Had2Ask
      @Had2Ask  5 месяцев назад

      Yes, the extension recognizes a castle (long or short) on the board. The video before this of an online match, shows a castle on move #16. It will also notify you if you have a piece on the board out of position. The extension is a considerable update over the DGT Live Chess driver (last updated in 2015) and a previously released extension that did not recognize a castle or a move when you put the king in check.
