I haven't played this game since I was a kid! | Castlevania II: Simon's Quest EP1

Today we're diving into the #NES classic game Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. This was one of my family's favorite games when I was a kid, and I haven't seriously played it since I was about 10 years old. It's time to dive in and see if we can save Simon Belmont from the curse inflicted on him by Dracula.
In this video, we'll get our bearings and head east towards Berkeley Mansion, where we'll find Dracula's Rib. Along the way, we'll pick up early items like the Thorn Whip, White Crystal, and Holy Water, learn that Simon Belmont never learned how to swim, and talk a bit about accessibility in games.
The #Castlevania series is one of my favorite series of games, but my experience is mostly with the later titles in the series, so I'm having a blast exploring the amazing retro gaming experience that is Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. In my opinion, it's easily one of the best NES games ever released.
