7>39 Pocket holes on the back of the back rests look a lot better screws going in from the sides. I did this on my bench and it was great.

Good looking garden bench but it's definitely not a ALDO LEOPOLD bench at all; but I like your design /changes much better!

I bought the plans for this and one of my support boards which is 7 7/8th wide is a full inch short but exact to the plans. SO I made it work but just saying those plans don't seem to be right.
