    My Grandma waitressed there during the Depression and WWII. My Dad and Aunts grew up in that kitchen. The Tams and Wongs are wonderful people. So glad to see them getting the props they deserve!

    I'm so glad I stumbled across this. This put a huge smile on my face. I love the history, stories, culture, appreciation and all that encompasses the recognition of love, hardwork and commitment.

    Cool…a living, thriving site full of history. My maternal grandfather opened up small businesses including a Chinese restaurant in Montreal after he immigrated in 1918. I wish we had artifacts like this (apart from old photos) to keep the past alive as a reminder for future generations of how our ancestors toiled and paved the way for us to a better future. 💕
