Some people don't understand! when you buy this type of thing, your not buying just for the game, but for the Full arcade experience like back in the 80s just 1/4 scale..

great work of art , ,but when you scale down any arcade games controls to that extent the games play response flow and feel is going to be negatively impacted. will trigger strong memory's though and that's the big point..

Personally, I bought one, it was really bad, I sent it back, wasn’t going to get another one but my heart strings got the better of me, I bought another one and it was just as bad as the first, sadly that one got sent back also :-(
Really wanted to buy into numbskull and their future planned releases of minicades but the quality control for the price asked, left a lot to be desired!
It’s great that they can cherry pick the best of the crop for RUclips stars like yourself who have a massive following and who’s follows are influenced by your recommendations, I just wish numbskull would give joe blogs the same level or care, the best I got out of them was it must have been damaged in transit blah blah rather than admit they took their / turned a blind eye to quality control.
I’m gutted as I would of given organs just to have what was promised but not delivered, twice.

Arcade1up has already made prototypes of similar 1/4th scale cabs. They will probably be in the $99-149 range. I would wait until xmas of this year and see what happens....
Arcade1UP's countertops are tentatively priced at $179.00. They also aren't made with the same precision, care, or vintage quality that the Numskull cabs are becoming known for. Buy the Pac-Man cab here for an authentic recreation of the past; by Arcade1UP's if you just want something to throw around and swap between hands.
Fair point! When and if arcade1up minis hit walmart and other big boxes,it will be what people buy. They will look nice and play fine. These mini cabs are mostly eye candy anyway. You will always have a small niche of customers who want a better made product. Something for all customers

$200 dollars?!! It's cute, but $200 cute?? I wouldn't mind having as a collectible, but not at that price. For that amount, I'll stick with my Arcade1up, which I am extremely happy with.

It can't be bigger, or it wouldn't be a perfect 1/4 scale replica. The idea here is to preserve the art of these ancient, vintage cabs in an affordable form factor.
Pacario I understand that however, a slight improvement wouldn’t compromise the overall aesthetic of the cabinet.

Pacario meh, agree to disagree. At $200 it’s not worth it to be honest when there are $300 cabinets that are almost to exact scale of arcade cabinets. A lovely novelty gadget For sure but not worth that price point without a slight tweaking of something so simple as the size of the screen.
1/4 size authentic reproduction, vs a full size rip-off... you either get the difference or you don't.
You can get an Arcade Plus 1 pac man arcade WITH a stand for $200

It's not as high quality or accurate, though. Numskull is trying to preserve the past by creating perfect replicas of these works of art that are slowly being lost to time. It's the perfect Pac-Man collector's piece, but yeah, there are certainly bigger, less accurate versions out there.
@@PonderingtheNonsense I've actually played it on the bigger cabinet its at the Wal-Mart we have here it played quite well and the graphics are actually pretty decent
@@anthonyzarillo5142 I have one, actually, and I do like it (outside some minor issues). It's certainly more playable, but not quite as authentic. I like it mainly for the addition of Pac-Man Plus, which is surprisingly good. Either way, both Arcade 1UP's and Numskull's cabs compliment each other well.
