First heard the new CFX Concert grand on the M8x. I assume this is the exact same patch. It's takes fidelity, depth, and warmth in patch playing to a new level. If you are in another room you can't tell its not a real piano. It has that "thickness" almost every keyboard of the past has never been able to reproduce. You feel it in your organs. The new Yamaha sound engines are game changers.
I know I have been always going on about how arrangers are aimed at one man band players and that the auto accompaniments are the main selling point and what but I think many of the comments in the comments section are a bit strong going on about how outdated the sounds are. Also for people moaning about how the styles are mostly oldies one fact remains some of the greatest songs written ever are songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s and even 90s. I wish I was good at playing song covers with the auto accompaniments but even though I sequence everything by hand I could still use styles as a reference point as you can revoice styles or see what sounds are used. Last year I came very close to buying a Yamaha Tyros 5 and if I had gone through with buying it I wouldn't have regretted it and maybe in time that keyboard might decline in value as I don't think I could even afford a used Genos let alone a Genos 2. Even if I bought an original Yamaha Tyros back in the day it would still be my current keyboard and you can get one of those very cheap, I think Tyros was the first Yamaha keyboard to feature organ flutes.
s we get the montage soon as vst-instrument - will we get the genos2 also as vst-instrument? and wow - an 8 year old reverb-plugin, no an1x chip, no foldable screen, no 61(88 key version, no midi 2.0 and midi-thru, no poly-aftertouch, no touchscreen-control over hdmi, etc. - just repacking old samples almost without innovation 🤷
Would you beginning play with a minor or major chord in the long intro. KORG PA5X or KETRON EVENT on every style has a different pattern 🎹, please give me your opinion.
@@justinphan2984 The other demos sound a hell of a lot better, so i dunno what's going on here with this one. PEBKAC, maybe -- the lameness seems down to the sensibility of the user operating it
is it possible to export drum loops as track out stems on these keyboards? For example i want to use a 4 bar loop or a arabic drum loop, but export the stems as wav and use it in my DAW on different projects .
I think with the comments you have to take the rough with the smooth. Some of those critical comments might also help me to make a better judgement over weather I really need a modern keyboard or if I should stick with using software based instruments like Halion 7 and Kontakt. If I wasn't unemployed I would have had no problem buying a Tyros 5 and personally if I bought a Tyros 5 like I originally planned I wouldn't have regretted my buying decision because I would have got something that actually sounds more superior to the Halion 4 Factory Library and something that's way better than my Yamaha PSR-295 ( even my Roland U-220 is better than the PSR-295 and that's saying something! ).
The additional FM tone generator is something, where I have doubts, that the difference to sampled sounds is noticeable, they put it in the synthesizer workstations too and does now all people turn to this?
Absolutely! Everyone screaming for digitally controlled analog and they put in another digital FM circuit/emulator. There is no way to compete with DAW if they can't even get past the 24bit threshold. Even in the 90s they had 18bit circuits especially for DSP. they are not even using modeling, they are still doing tired ROMpling. The audience wants modeling like Harken Audio or SWAM or Roland's ACB [pre-zen-core]
😂 and, the entire world breathed a collective "mehhhhhhh" 😂 it's my own fault, I was so excited thinking that we'd see tech, at least, from the MOTIF XF or earlier MONTAGE integrated... FM is nice, though. It's probably only presets. They really need to stop jerking around and make the sequencer pro level

Steve Jobs of Yamaha thought of Genos2. In these 7 years he said: "I found the solution!! Let's take Genos 1 and change the writing to Genos2!!!"
My future keyboard ! Stunning

One of the best presentations I have seen Great job! *****
Like how he fudged the last chord on Eye of Tiger to avoid copyright infringement.
Genos 2 sounds fantastic. Loved the Original Genos so really exited for this.
The price is also fantastic 💰💰💰💰
@@TheJohndenhaag You can't buy top quality just released keyboards for low prices. Same for Korg Pa5X.
Tell me it's a joke. Where is the pads? Where is the Ableton Link? I ll be wait to Genos 5 😂

It seems always to me that Yamaha is producing workstation just for older people who are still dreaming about the past like the 80' or 90'ties
Strange thing to say. What exactly makes you arrive at such a theory, you darn whippersnapper? Get off my lawn while you're at it.
Agree. The sounds are so outdated. They still keep the styles that from Psr 3000 that I bought 20 years ago. Some styles from psr 9000 from 1999

Probably will be very expensive, I would like to see a cheaper 76 key PSR-SX, with built in speakers and some of the Genos features.

A Yamaha Reface DX with a Genos 1 is less expensive and a used Genos 1 with a Yamaha YC61 has more features. The same with a MODX.

A Yamaha não muda nada em seus teclados arranjadores, continua com esses ritmos feios, os mesmos timbres magros e carcaça frágil!
Looks like a toy to make bad pop music for people who don't know how to play the keyboard. I'll stick with my Kronos.
