I'm from Perth Australia, and I first came across this song in 1998 when I went to UWO in London Ontario as an exchange student. My residence had a version of it - "medsyd for a rest". Years later I moved to Vancouver BC and spent many happy times with friends from the North Shore. John's passing still leaves a heavy note on my heart. RIP you amazing guy.
I liked all of the band members in Spirit of the West, but I loved John Mann. He exuded humility, and could perform with enthusiasm to show his audience just how much he loved performing for them. Loved him, absolutely loved him.🍁❤❤❤🍁
