The iPhone XS Max display comes in at 6.5 inches, with a resolution of 2688 x 1242 pixels. Its screen is bigger than iPhone X’s. Much of what makes the iPhone XS Max feel extra special is the color and the screen size. It’s now made almost completely of glass, which curves around the rear and feels fantastic.

I do not know if my xs max screen need replacement or not but i have problem in touching and when i try to pull the icon among the screen, it would not move to part of the left side of the screen easily and have to keeep trying and same if i want to move something from left to right.. also typing letter e d x c is a problem and not typing easily! What do you think should i replace it?

WARNING: the dot projector is VERY sensitive. I think my mistake in this was using isopropyl alcohol to clean the outer edge and I ruined the dot projector.

after taking my iPhone XS Max to get the screen replaced I got it back and the screen feels kinda rough and my 3D Touch doesn't work. The phone acts like a Haptic Touch like the new iPhone 11 where u just hold down a few seconds and it activates. I noticed it right away when I went to play pubs and the 3d touch to shoot wasn't working...

@EricWitrigs So I did manage to switch the screen and it works when turned on, and it charges fine. However, when the case is closed it doesn't charge and overheats, the battery also drains faster. Would appreciate any suggestions.

He just removed the old adhesive for the screen and applied a new adhesive (gasket). They make them pre-cut so it covers all corners of your new screen, costs like $2-$3. The blue is just plastic film that helps you align it properly

When I said it wasn’t done correctly,I was meaning you gotta take off the housing along with the ear piece camera,mic I don’t the replacement a few times on other iPhone models. But still a great video
If I have 2 of these phones and I want to swap the screens, do I need to swap any parts over from the screens? Or can I just swap the whole assembly?

Also check to make sure Face ID works before sealing phone shut with the new adhesive. I had a iPhone XS max come back from apple with no Face ID functionality after a screen replacement (oled panel issue caused the repair)
When the dot projector in the front camera module got some dust, the face ID will be unavailable. Try cleaning it with some alcohol and the face ID function will recover.
@@EricWitrigs hi there, strange question but do you know of any ways to remove charger port screws if they have rusted and rounded off when trying to take out? literally in the first turn the metal just completely disintegrated and now i cant start the repair until its removed can i?

to me it does look difficult. imagine you break some thing whilst doing it and then you lose your 1200 bucks + whatever you paid for for the replacement

Only issue with is there was no step to reprogram the new panel since this is a swap over. The new panel would be be registered with the iphone and the true tone option will be disabled.
You'll need a programmer for that unfortunately.
However, for general use you're not missing much...

@Lelouche good eye. BUT, hear me out. Buy screen for $390, fix someones cracked screen for $300. Sell original cracked screen to a refurbished company for $150, EQUALS 60$ in profit. BUTT ALSO the link he puts up, is not an OLED screen replacement, nowhere on the page does it say OLED.

So annoying because I just cracked my front glass but the screen works fine. But I have to replace the whole damn thing just to get new glass. Oh, and you're charging the same exact price for the screen as Apple does - but Apple installs it for you. Not a great deal. Nice vid, though.

@@hexagonview This is correct. I work for an Apple Authorized Repair Center and every screen we replace from the 6s on new adhesive is put on to make the unit water resistant and or water proof depending on the phone

I found a iPhone max and tried to return it but the person said they got a new one already.....but the iPhone lost app is still on it......can I swap out the motherboard and have keep it as a new phone for me

The iCloud locks are hard to remove without the proper knowledge. You could swap out the motherboard on the iPhone XS Max, but it is not the easiest task to complete. WitRigs has a teardown video at ruclips.net/video/28fTvRzILJw/видео.html. I would first check with the owner of the device and see if they can remove the iCloud lock. If that fails to work, I would check out Repair Tech Kings at www.repairtechkings.com. As long as the device has not been marked as lost or stolen on Find My iPhone, they can remove iCloud locks without needing to do any hardware replacements on the device.

I work in cellphone repair for an authorized store lol try and get an oem screen for less then that. Even as a multi billionaire dollar company they still get charged full price by apple.
Just dropped my phone today so i decided to look online for the parts to fix it myself since Apple charges so much.........i guess ill just have to keep my cracked screen.

LOLOL Nimith it doesn’t work in the first place anyway. Fucking piece of shit phone really pissed off and apple won’t even fix it. Now I have to pay $500 to get a new screen when my phone is still in warranty through them
@cscott What happened to yours? I got a camera replacement at an authorized service provider and they told me that the adhesive was appropriately placed and the phone should be resistant to water as normal but I don’t want to test if it works.
Sergio Luna Cruz I had never had anything done to it. One day I put it in some water then the Face ID died. Screen then gradually started dying. Now apple found water damage and won’t replace the screen. After I told them I was literally able to back it up to my computer. They then proceeded to tell me I needed a new logic board and they would just give me a new phone for $749
