it doesn't matter if she smiles within the song or not, singers and artists interpret lyrics in different ways and thats how we get a variety of music covers. if we just had everyone interpreting the song in the same way, music would become boring quick! she did an amazing job well done:)

Thank you! This song is something that within my personal life has hit really, really hard lately. And it was something that truly resonated with me. I wish I had to "try too hard" to feel emotional about this song. Unfortunately, there's been a lot in my life that makes "trying" to be dramatic unnecessary.

Covers actually make me happy. They're all different from the original. This can be shared to be the same point of view, we all should have on life. Maybe there is a common thought. But we have our own thoughts, maybe better, maybe not. That just depends on our own point of view
I know what you mean. They can make you look at a song in a completely different way. I am actually quite disappointed when covers sound like the original.

I've been singing for quite a long time and here is my input for this video:
-The piano was perfect. The balance between simple 3 note chords, rhythm, and melody was completely on point. Not too overpowering, but not too weak.
-The emotion that I could hear in your voice was very impressive. During the chorus I actually started to cry, because I could resonate with the emotions that you and the lyrics were portraying.
-Your voice sounded pitch-perfect; it sounded like you used auto-tune in a few places, which I'm not a fan of.
-Your voice is very good and you obviously have a lot of technique under your belt, but one piece of advice: you need more variety. It seemed like you were belting most of the song. You're very good at it, which is probably why you do it so frequently, but if you belt a bit less and use more smooth/calm headvoice it would sound WAY more emotional. Only bring out the belting when you REALLY want to emphasize a line.
That's what I think, hope that I helped :)

My ear doesn't like it. Makes it sound cheesey instead of raw, you dont need it.
Putting another track of vocals over your own would achieve the depth your looking for without the canned sound.

This song means the world to me but have yet to find a version I like enough to share with those who need to hear it.

I lost a friend on 5/31/2012 that I was afraid to admit that she really meant the world to me!! As I listen to this, I get angry at myself, because they said she died of a seizure, but I didn't really believe it. I thought she died, because of depression! I feel if I did hang out with her more she would still be here today! :(
