In this episode, we are joined by Taryn who developed a 35-45 degree scoliosis when she was 14, which led to a spinal fusion surgery at the age of 15 years old. Following the surgery, Tayrn started to experience a progression in pain that got worse every year (did not have pain prior to the surgery).
The pain got so bad that eventually she was no longer able to live in her passion as a hairstylist and salon owner.
Taryn had seen a "multitude" of doctors to try and help with the debilitating pain she had been experiencing, and was on her last attempt by giving The Source Chiropractic a try.
After 6 months of care, Taryn is now able to sleep through out the night, sit and stand for long periods of time, and is feeling hopeful for what the future can bring.
One of the biggest standouts of this story for me, is that 2 chiropractors turned her away from care because she had hardware in her spine from her previous fusion surgery...
From what I have observed, people with spinal hardware are one of the most under-served populations in chiropractic, and they benefit massively when the chiropractor is trained at a level that can actually help them.
Unfortunately the majority of chiropractic schools teach their students to fear people with spinal hardware...
Hopefully after watching this video, more chiropractors are inspired to take care of people just like Taryn. They need our support!

She is such a bright light. Seeing her progress over the last several month has been the most inspirational story I’ve been able to bear witness to.
