Did you have to size up in shell size in order to fit your liner?

I have a 285 mondo , the 45 (MP288) with the stock built in liner fits me approximately the same as the 46 (MP295) with intuition liners, but the stock liner is horribly uncomfortable and both are performance fit, not much room to stretch or wiggle my toes but I am pain free (knock on wood ... or carbon fiber)

@@bladelab Appreciate the reply and info! Just got done riding my carbons earlier today and always end up with blisters on my heel and arch areas. I have a pair of size medium Intuition liners in another pair of skates and was thinking about gutting the carbons (US size 9) to see if they would fit. If I could swap out the carbon stock liner with one that is a bit taller, that would be ideal in providing better ankle support and possibly get rid of this blister issue. But if I gut them and they end up too small or too tight, that suck so bad LOL.

@@yoduff6897 Don't gut it unless you have about 8-10mm extra space with the stock built in liner.
If you get the blisters on the sole of your feet then I recommend replacing the footbed if you are using the stock one. The stock ones come in 2 hardnesses, check my other video about inner soles. Also if you gut it, you should probably shave the end of the sole to make it thinner so you gonna get a bit extra toe room .
If you want better ankle support, liners don't offer that much extra, but cuffs do ! I recommend something that reaches higher than the stock cuffs, I really like the ones I found , the seba cuffs are rockerable , tall, springy , light and got a great V cut, but it can only be used with straps, because it doesn't have buckle proterctor bump .
If the blisters on the side I recommend heat molding the shell, but you may have already done that a few times.

@@bladelab I tried heat molding them twice, but haven't notice too much of a difference. However, I haven't tried a different type of cuff or insole, so I'll test those out. Definitely appreciate the thorough advice bro!
