I made these while quarantined for four days. I could not stop making them!!! I made 5 in quick succession! I used Big Twist Natural Blend, and K+C alpaca. Both are a size 6 yarn, so I went up to a 8mm hook. I did an initial chain of 57 with 7 rows each.
The tip to make the starting chain fairly tight was a very helpful! Usually I go up a hook size for starting chains, but that was not necessary with this project.
This has been the clearest version of how to creat the front part.. . I will still need to practice a few times but this has been so helpful, thank you 🙏

As a first time crocheter finding other videos too complicated i found this video easy to follow along with and memorize to do it in the future. But i did use a size 4 yarn (instead of a size 5) with a 6.5mm hook and it turned out just as pretty. Amazing job!!

I needed 52 ch for my head with the hook and yarn I used (tested it on my head after making first row) and did only 5 or 6 rows and it turned out beautifully. Thanks for sharing 👍👍

Loved this tutorial! Was able to make it in under 2 hours, considering I’m a newbie to crochet I’m impressed! I don’t have a yarn needle so used a bobby pin lol! My first one turned out too small but worked out as the person I’m making it for has a daughter so this gift has now turned into a matching mommy- daughter moment! How many chains did you start with for the super bulky yarn?

i just made this and it turned out soooo cute!!! though, i did only have 4 yarn and used a 5.5mm hook. i chained 75 (since i had thinner yarn) and made the headband about half the thickness of yours. I LOVE IT!! gonna make more colors asap… thank you so much!! 🤍🤍🤍
