Interesting comparison. I felt drawn to the Mi 10 Ultra. I would have considered the P40 Pro to be the supreme camera phone until now. Thanks for making these great videos :)
The ultra-wide of Mi 10 Ultra has lower details but a wider field of view, it's a necessary compromise due to the limited thickness of the smartphones. Huawei has always chosen not to sacrifice the detail despite a limited field of view. Choices. In my opinion, an ultra-wide photo is not bound to pixel-peep, the global overview is more important, and a wider FOV adds a lot of versatility to the camera setup.

I'm currently with a P30 Pro. I don't think it's worth getting a new phone, as the camera on mine was way ahead of its time.
However, if Huawei's trade situation doesn't get resolved, Xiaomi might be the next best thing when I decide to upgrade. The iPhones are overall boring to use, and don't give you a proper telephoto lens. The rest of the Androids are pretty uninspiring.

First of all, great job! Secondly, I don't see much of a difference besides color reproduction and sharpness. Sometimes P40 pro is better, sometimes Mi 10 ultra is. This is by far the best Xiaomi phone. But, you should consider software and future improvements in camera department. Huawei has been better than Xiaomi when updates are considered. They are still improving p30 series. But, this ban changes everything. We will see. Maybe Xiaomi is next on USA's list...

Good job. For me, I think there is too little difference between the camera quality for it to be a deciding factor. I'd go for the p40pro overall as a phone if I had to choose one or the other though

When you take night shots and do night videos, can you take pictures of moving subjects? Also in low light, and videos of waves breaking or leaves in a windy area will help us to see how good the bit rate is (see if stuff gets muddy when there's a lot of stuff going on). Thanks! Subbed! Have you found any issue using the Mi 10 Ultra in Italy ? or it works fine and with good coverage ? Also, do you note if the Mi 10 Ultra supports Google auto for the car ? Thanks so much.
I didn’t try g auto. No problems at all for now. But you have to search if your interne provider uses b20 (a type of connection) because mi 10 ultra doesn’t have it
Hope u dont break the screen cuz i had problems getting my mate 30pro fixed...had to order new screen from china and the repair shops over here screwed up and now its kind of a mess...luckily im getting p40pro tomorrow which is available in my country 😁

Have you tried Gcam on 10 ultra and does it change anything when it comes to photos?
For now, the GCAMs that are available for mi10u can’t achieve the quality of the stock app.

Sir I see you provide a great content, but it's pretty niche. if you would like to grow subscriber base faster, consider doing a little more of "overall quick reviews" to attract more general public.
you can also try reviewing and/or comparing popular midrange smartphones to have more views.

@@lorenzcaptures7492 that's how most reviewers begin... have to buy phones and then resell it on 2nd hand market for a little lower price. at least you get about 80% money back
but I can foresee a problem though... if your channel will be focused on objective comparisons more than on simple reviews of a single product, manufacturers might hesitate to send you anything.
most reviewers just babble tech specs and show the phones and provide some fortunate camera samples, rarely showing any negative sides of product (to not disappoint manufacturer so they keep sending products)
if your channel will tell viewers "this phone obviously shoots better photos than that phone", it won't make sense for manufacturers to send you phone unless they are sure it's making really great photos for its price range.
all of which basically means that you have to kinda "sell out" and make basic silly reviews without going into professional photo comparison.
it sucks because I see you're interested exactly in the opposite - doing quality side to side comparisons, not doing silly "this phone has 108mp camera and snap865 it's amazing"
... dunno how to deal with it tbh.
maybe try to appeal to viewers as "user oriented camera comparison channel" if you don't want to make overall phone reviews..
good luck and maybe put up PayPal in channel description so people can help buying new phones
4:22 are you sure Mi 10 Ultra is better detail? we can see some crack line and list around the arrow plate in P40 Pro picture, (Mi 10 Ultra picture just white)

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is a beast !!! If only it would have an headphone jack and a dedicated amp&dac, like LG phones have, for us audio enthusiasts it would be perfect. But still, this is the best camera phone right now.

You're really an enthusiast for details on pictures like I am. Thank you for this kind of precise test. The results speak a complete different language than tests on the Mi 10 Ultra in the big magazines. Actually, the 3 years old Leica system from Huawei still convinces.

Try the modded google cam app from xda on both devices and you'll get far better results than on the stock camera app

Since I have to buy all the phones myself it would be a tad expensive
p40 pro just have so much better HDR then any other phone.
That is priceless on its own :) And one of the best Detailed and Focused pictures of all phones on top of that .

Il nuovo update in distribuzione da ieri , lo stesso usato da Dxomark migliora ancora il Mi 10 Ultra.
Ho sentito. Ma considerando che ho provato la GCAM e per la prima volta su questo dispositivo non riesco a trovare una situazione dove la GCAM faccia meglio della stock dubito possa migliorare ancora. Secondo me il software stock sfrutta già le piene potenzialità del sensore.
@@lorenzcaptures7492 parlavo del nuovo update fatto da Xiaomi, ora in distribuzione, non della gcam. Dicono che sia lo stesso usato da Dxomark per testarlo.
Dovrebbe portare ancora dei miglioramenti.
