    Hello, it's my first time at crocheting I found your tutorial fantastic to follow and have made a waffle blanket. I would like to add a plain border to this so was wondering if you had a tutorial for that?

    I am confused. I thought for a double crochet, you chain 3 at the end of your row?

  • @laurenbrown7662
    @laurenbrown7662 3 года назад

    Helppp!! I’m doing this stitch and I can’t tell but it seems like I’m doing something wrong. The boxes are not very well defined. Almost like the vertical lines aren’t there. I think I might be skipping a front post stitch somehow in one of the repeat rows! But it’s really hard to tell without someone showing me :/

    Is there a certain type of yarn that would work best for this stitch?

    • @HopefulHoney
      @HopefulHoney  6 лет назад

      I would recommend any yarn/wool that has a nice stitch definition to it (as that will help the design pop - cotton would work very well!), and veer away from mohair or fluffier yarns. ☺️

    With starting 4 chains in, is anyone else having too much slack on that first turn? It bubbles out. If I chain 3 +1 Instead of 3 +2 and start on the 3rd chain from the hook, would that mess up the rest of the pattern?

    • @voyager9028
      @voyager9028 4 года назад

      That should work out just fine. I was surprised that she used ch3 on the first row, but ch2 on all subsequent rows.

  • @mylittleangel2660
    @mylittleangel2660 5 лет назад

    what size of hook?

  • @maegansmith2687
    @maegansmith2687 4 года назад

    I'm so confused! Hah! These are great, but I'm super confused. I started on your video to make a slip knot, then how to chain... but from there there's no tutorial on how to begin from your chain, and I don't understand the terms "chain in multiples of three plus two" - what is that? :(

    • @jacqpalin
      @jacqpalin 4 года назад +2

      Hi! If this helps:
      Your foundation chain should be in multiples of three so 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 etc
      Then just add 2 extra chains and that's your plus 2
      The plus 2 chains is technically your "turning chain" that she mentions for your future rows.
