I feel like Tig is just spending her life figuring out what she can get away with.
Mackinstyle her life story is enough to be a drama movie. She was diagnosed with both c.diff and breast cancer and her mom died in an unfortunate accident and she had double mastectomy surgery. I feel like since she has experienced loss, she lives her life the way she wants and wants to have fun along the way. I love Tig and find her quite inspiring.
One thing she figured out is that if you've had cancer, you're a woman, and you're a lesbian, then you can make a very good living these days as an unfunny comedian.

Actually if I remember correctly, Aubrey Plaza and Tig's wife Stephanie Allyne have both played on the same recreational basketball team Pistol Shrimps. I don't know if they were ever on the team at the same time but there's a good chance they've crossed paths! Also I'm realizing now from this I know a little too much about celebrities (but really only the interesting ones- I don't keep up with the Kardashians). Aubrey's talked about the team on talk shows and then I think I saw a post on Steph's instagram and put two and two together!

I adore this show. Conan says about Julie Bowen, “Good for her for putting up with that.” But like, part of the genius of this show is recognizing that people are people, and fame is an odd component of a person’s success. If a person doesn’t watch Modern Family, then they don’t know who Julie Bowen is. What’s the big deal? Julie Bowen or any famous person should absolutely “put up with that.”
Jennifer Schemke Nah! I think a lot of people would recognize Bowen from Happy Gilmore or Horrible Bosses, but I doubt any of them know who Jennifer Schemke is. I know I don’t!
Tom Hoopes that’s not my point. The show isn’t her trying to recognize randos like you or me. The joke of it is it’s people she “should” know because of their celebrity. But, if she hasn’t seen Happy Gilmore it any of her projects than she wouldn’t have seen her. My point is that the idea of Julie Bowen or anyone else for that matter “putting up” with not being recognized (which she did beautifully, actually) seems like that pompous kind of “Do you know who I am!?” kind of stuff we make fun of when people aren’t getting their way in a restaurant. People are people, and some happen to be famous. That’s the brilliance of Tig’s Show.
@Mitch Ddhfacetyy well, the fact that I cared that much and put that much thought into it a year ago would make your blanket statement erroneous. I do have the tendency to “over-analyze” sometimes, but I think the subject of “celebrity” and what it means is an interesting topic, and so I’ll just keep thinking and caring to the degree that suits me regardless of what anyone else is or isn’t thinking or caring about.
People know Julie Bowen even if they don't watch modern family. Like they would see her somewhere ryt

I enjoy her new show, the premise is great. The only issue I have with it is... the lack of truly famous people. Hence, it is easy to believe she doesn't know them. So far there have been people known for one or two projects, so as long as you don't watch a particular TV show, you may easily not know who they are.
I hope she gets soon some proper A-listers, like said Anne Hathaway.

She is one of the main actors on Modern Family. Only a super successful, long running sitcom. Her glasses and hair made her a bit hard to recognize though. I didn't her by name though, just her character's name.

I watched "Ed"(wich was big in Sweden) and "Modern family" but had a hard time recognizing her here because of the facejob.
Plot twist, that was my gitlfriend shirley, who doesn't look at all like anne hathaway. I also introduced myself as tom cruise, which she seems to have forgotten.
I ran into Anne Hathaway at Coachella 2009. We just kind of stared at each other for a minute as she wasn't with any security and I was exhausted and dehydrated as heck after a whole day in the venue(Coachella doesn't allow re-entry for poor people). I thought I was hallucinating the whole thing. I read maybe a year later turns out she was there to see TV on the Radio. She was a surprisingly beautiful, tiny lady...

But I guess I am good at recognizing faces and remembering where I saw them, but I don't know pop singers, country singers, rappers, RUclipsrs, Twitchers, Sony games, Microsoft games, TV shows, I've barely seen any must-see movies... I'm just very in-my-own-world. My life right now is Game Grumps and Mario Maker, haha.
