I work at a waste disposal facility and we had the exact same issue with one of our fleet trucks with the same engine. Your video was extremely helpful. Finding that fitting thought was a nightmare. Cummins told me that's a fitting they did not install. Ours was on a Freightliner. I sent all the info I had gathered to freightliner and they gave me this part # PH 169PTCNS 4 M12 I'm waiting to see if it's the correct one. Thanks so much for your video!
good video much appreciated I'm having that issue. my secondary tank seems to be the tank the empties first. so I assume that valve comes from. anyways thanks
Hi guys I found a perfect replacement part for this fitting, part number 177.V20566049 Company is Automann & the part is called Brass PLC male connector fitting. Hope this helps cause it toook some work to get the right part 👍🏼
@@truckingpaysthebills5394 Yes I did. The last one I replaced was very difficult to remove. I ended up cutting a bunch of zip ties and disconnecting one of the fuel hoses so that I could fit my hand in that tight spot.
Its call a solenoid valve quick connect. All this is plumbing work, so you dont have to get the exact part if you can't find it.If you notice the new one i put on is not identical to the old one. Although Yours is in a L shape a straight one like mine can work as well if you can't fund the L one. Take off the old quick connect take it to freightliner or any other dealer tell them its off of a Cummins isx engine if they dont have the exact part ask them to make a fitting similar to the one you have. Good luck
