Thanks brother fix my truck very good video change Theo ring from harbor freight Spend $60 on everything paperclip is the best tool same me lots of money
Thanks a lot for making this vide. I appreciate it sir. Was having this issue and was thinking of replacing the whole part. Thanks a lot. Saved a lot of money.
A truck stop, just try to saw me. A whole fitting like this. Then I went to the parking lot. Took the green o-ring out, went back inside the truck. Stop and said can I buy this o? Ring, they said we don't carry those. We would have to order it. 😂😂😂
Thank you so much for the video, it saved me alot of time and money. I actually had a new plastic straight union with brass ends that I robbed to oring out of to fix my pass thru. So if you have any unions with brass ends you can rob parts from those.
Of course, the shop wants you to buy expensive parts & charge multiple hours for labor instead of taking 30 minutes to tear down & replace a $0.30 seal.
Great explanation on how to fix it, I will try on my Volvo this weekend I was just wondering how much on laybor the mechanic would charge me to replace the whole thing, now I can afford to fix it lol. Thanks for the great help
@Richard Jolley not to worry my friend i applaud your effort. If you turn on the $thanks feature we can all pitch in for your production equipment. We can all help out the community, channels like yours.
Does anybody know what size these o rings are? Or do you use same size as the air hose? I got a leak on the one that takes 3/8 hose. Does that mean It takes 3/8 o ring???
o-rings have multiple dimensions, and durometers (hardness), also materials. Get a digital caliper and find the one you need exactly at McMaster-carr. You can try a hardware store but you need ID and OD measurements in thousandths.
It can be done while still on the truck. My daughter helped me because she has long skinny arms. The little hooks I made out of paper clips worked the best. May God bless you with success.
why is it such a crappy design on all those trucks ,seems like a mayor point of failure. Why don't they just run the tubes thru a rubber grommet with individual fittings
Hey Richard I saw your video yesterday, I've been having a air leak at the manifold from the firewall side ( engine side ) and it was a green fitting I pulled the hose out cut it with a pvc cutting tool make clean cuts pop it back and still leaked so I did the paperclip (NASA) Design and pulled the green Oring got a set of green O rings from HF and boom worked just ad you said , thank you for this info , it's great that you took the time to figure this out sir , God bless
Thank you for your blessing. I'm struggling a bit in my life and am grateful for it. I'm sorry the video is of such poor quality. I made it to help my fellow truckers like you. It makes me happy to know you were able to fix your truck. May God's blessings be upon you.
Yes,you are absolutely correct. I apologize for the poor quality. But I was so excited about fixing this for a few cents, I couldn't wait to show others and try to save them big bucks. May God bless you.
Wish there was a way to repair the plastic ones, they obviously implemented obsolescence to control you and take all your money. I invested in some brass pre-bidenflation and never knew they even had O-rings, Thanks! 👍
Thanks I just can’t stop laughing dude in between getting dizzy spinning around with you trying to locate the air fitting hole with the poor lighting it was hard and forcing my eyes to focus also did you shove something in your mouth because whatever you did it really muffled your speech making it very hard not only to watch bad lights and the spinning around but making out what you where saying didn’t you watched this video before posting it?? Needs a redo but man did you make me laugh thanks. Anyways sorry somewhere in this video there’s a important lesson…somewhere thanks for trying lol
Your absolutely correct. One of the worst videos ever. But this repair saved me over $500.00. I was so excited I immediately made this to try and help others. God bless you , and thanks for your good sense of humor.
@@richardjolley6244 I don't know why RUclips didn't show me this GREAT VIDEO 2 days ago. 11/05/22 I paid $180 with tax for the air manifold. My son and I installed. And I tried to make a video to help others but it's very difficult with one hand, the wind,light... SO, PLEASE! KEEP MAKING MORE VIDEOS, Maybe next time I will save some money or maybe I'm going to pick up the old one from the garage, if still there and fix it. You got my thumbs up/like. God bless you brother Richard.
Buy an O ring kit from Harbour Frieght or something. You can unhook another hose of the same diameter and match them up. If the old Oring breaks, keep all the pieces and lay them together. God bless you.
All the colored ends can be removed and the oring under them replaced. The tools made out of paper clips work best. Especially if the old oring is broken in pieces. I hope this helps and may God bless you.

Thanks a lot. Man you can really use a camera/cell phone tripod with light for your videos. Other than that looks like you saving a lot of money.
I'm glad you approve! Only kidding friend. I know it's a poor quality video, and I'm sorry for that. Hope it helped you somehow. God bless you.

Can this be done while the manifold is still on the truck or do I have to remove the whole manifold to change out the oring

What size o ring is it?
Depends on which one you are replacing. Pull the old one out and match it at the hardware store.

Hi Richard in regards with that green little plastic and I believe that goes to primary gauge. Is that repairable as well?
I'm not sure what green plastic thing you are referring to. Please help me understand.
