      @bigbowlowrong4694 Месяц назад

The concept of this kind of “miracle” makes no sense to me. If God wanted her to live why allow her to almost freeze to death in the first place? Seems like an unnecessarily theatrical way to go about it lol
And why save this particular lady when there are thousands of kids at any given moment dying of completely preventable causes - many of whom are prayed for just as desperately as she was? Has she done anything all that remarkable for humankind since her recovery? Or is it that just her friends happen to follow the one right religion out of thousands of others and God only listens to them?

Jean's story helped me take my father's excellent advice, "Never ever no not EVER leave your car in arctic temperatures no matter how close you think someplace is," and "Always make sure someone knows where you're going, what route you're taking, and when you expect to get there," seriously when travelling before the time of cellphones.
Pro tip: if you hit the ditch, don't idle your car nonstop. Turn it off once in a while, crack a window, and make sure your tailpipe isn't covered by snow or brush. Please do not leave your car!!

some people are born as psychopaths. they learn how to fake empathy, yet never actually understand or feel it. its little known that psychopaths and sociopaths are actually a significant part of the population. they are literally pretending. they dont comprehend human suffering but can understand something like money. its why you find heartless people up in big business or trying to mislead people into voting for them. theyre so good at it that people often vote against their own best interests. people are very very manipulatable because they operate on an emotional level with emotional weaknesses - but psychopaths dont. and they are skilled manipulators.

Identify with Su’s ordeal at Northwest. As former female airline ramp agent in the late 1990’s-2000’s, women were still viewed as not being welcome. There were some who accepted us but most of the time we had to load airplanes by ourselves while 5-6 guys watched us, had to find equipment if we were the ramp lead, tolerated brutal verbal sexual harassment in the break rooms and see the graphic graffiti in the cargo holds. We weren’t taken seriously until it was end of shift and we’d get asked to go to the bars. When we refused we were called names. Either way we couldn’t win. Things changed when more females were hired and became supervisors and ramp managers.

As of 2021, the Matt Flores case remains unsolved. Matt was only supposed to be in Silicon Valley for training and was going to be transferred to Dallas, TX. Authorities did an extensive background check on him and even his family from growing up in RI, to being based in GA while he was in the military and obviously his time in CA, yet nothing was found. His wife and daughter moved back to the East Coast shortly after the killing. Would be nice if the authorities released the actual surveillance video, as its been almost 30 years.

And no one sings Gospel better, or with more heart. My mother cried and couldn't eat the supper she has just cooked, and just sit to eat, when that blue screen came on. Sometimes the stronger twin is the only survivor. It's a weird natural selection process, twins battle in the womb. It comes from a time when humans may not have been able to support the upbringing of two offspring. A way to eliminate the competition. There are birds that have chicks and can only really raise one, so the stronger chick will bully the weaker one until it dies and the parents don't intervene. They just feed the stronger chick.

My mom came extremely close to dying from Covid but we started a prayer chain and never once gave up hope that she was going to survive. @@neilreynolds17681 I totally agree. I don’t get why people think that saying certain words or begging a deity to spare a person is what causes the person to survive. Like their god has the ability to choose to save someone if enough people say the magic words. It’s insulting to the medical staff to give thanks to a non-corporeal being who just decided that this person should be spared and others shouldn’t. And those who aren’t saved by “god” are actually now angels In the sky because……god needed them more up there??? Yeah, no. They say god is all good and all powerful. Well, that doesn’t pass the smell test because if he were both, no innocent people would suffer. I’m so much happier since I stopped worrying that “god” was listening to my every thought and that I would most likely burn in hell because I wasn’t perfect.

With Matt Flores, police think it could be mistaken identity assuming the shooter was trying to shoot person in the 1st white car, but I felt it was opposite and the explorer came to kill Matt specifically. When the 1st white car pulled in, explorer followed thinking it was Matt. It was not, so the explorer went and parked again to wait for the next white car, which was Matt. It looks, to me, like the person was specifically targeting Matt. Maybe a rival for the new position that he got in his dream job. Someone passed over in place of him. Or any number of things, but I think it is much more likely (based on video recreation) that he was being targeted instead of a mistaken identity

Fun Fact: Elvis had blonde hair. He dyed and styled it to look like Captain Marvel, the comics he collected.

Ever notice the deeper you get into the Robert Stack Seasons (Season 6 and later), the more the episodes focus on Murder and Abduction? They were always a part of the format, but usually it was intermingled with some Aliens, Amnesia, A Missing Relative, Bigfoot, Miracle Healing, Missing Treasure, Ghosts etc. Later episodes it's 75% homicides 25% all other subjects. Might as well as just Forensic Files...

I think all of the paranormal and historical mystery stories dwindled over time and they couldn’t find new somewhat credible stories to fill those genres.

What year did this air? JonBenet Ramsay’s death really launched true crime so maybe that’s why the format changed?
My favorites are seasons 1-5 for sure.

The frozen woman story is quite the mystery, How does one survive freezing for 6 hours with no body damage?
Propylene glycol is a “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS) additive for foods & medications, Could she have had enough propylene glycol in her body to help prevent freezing damage?

Robert Stack picks up a shotgun @33:20. What's funny, he knows how to use it. Not only was he a skeet-shooting champion, during World War II he was US Navy lieutenant serving as a anti-aircraft-gunnery training officer. He was posted on the carriers USS Midway in 1944 and USS Sitkoh Bay in 1945.

I was about to make a comment about this. I think that was his own personal shotgun he wanted to show off. Robert Stack was hecka badass. In the film Airplane! at the age of 60, he still performed his own stunts involving kicking someone and doing a flip over someone's back. It was a hilarious scene.

He also played the G-Man, Elliott Ness of Chicago fame for taking down Capone with hus team. Was made in the 60s and was black and white, but an awsome series, especially in Chicagoland.

I wonder if there are any twinless twins like first twins died, but then another set of twins were born and then feels their previous death of their other sibling twins presence, never expect Elvis in this when I thought it was about unsolved murders.
