This video came in handy. My zipper on my back pack needs repair. I was just going to sew it up and make it shorter and now I know how to do it right. Thank you. I didn't even know about these end pieces or where to get them.
I'm glad you found it handy for other applications. Best of luck!
Danni, you are the best !
Thank you!
Wow keren amazing
Do you have a video on how to replace it if there are missing teeth in the middle?
If there are teeth missing in the middle, you'll have to replace the zipper. That's much more involved and I currently don't have a video showing how to do that.
Danni, you could have put it from the top. I have done that many times. In this case you would not need your sewing machine. You are may sewing hero :-)
You can do it from the top, but it's much more fiddly. Especially if the zipper is separated. You then have to pull and wiggle a lot more and run the risk of damaging something. You also don't need a sewing machine if you do it from the bottom. You could always tack the placket with hand sewing.
@@TailorItYourself I really enjoy your clips, but in this case I totally disagree. Sorry, Danni :-)
Thanks!
Have you ever altered pantyhose and tights? I have done this, but the quality of the work is low.
I haven't. Generally they fit so tight that they mold to the body and alterations aren't necessary.
Hello tailor
👋
I always try to avoid buying garments with nylon zippers, I insist on metal zippers
I agree. Coil zippers are generally garbage. But they do allow for more flexibility and color matching.
@@TailorItYourself I see your point
