    I bought one for $12.50 for my tent and it didn't work, but my girlfriend tried it and it worked for her easily. I have skills in electronics troubleshooting and repair, but my skills didn't allow me to use this zipper fix. After it worked for my girlfriend, I have to say it works great and I recommend it.

      Sorry for the confusion. Each kit comes with 2 optional pulls: a key ring and a cord/plastic clip pull. To attach that pull, you can feed the string through the slot on the FixnZip. Then take the two ends of the cord and fit it through the hinge of the plastic clip and snap it shut. If it helps, you can tie the string together inside the clip to help it catch (like one timeover, not a full knot. Just to make it slightly thicker and catch the serrated edges in the hinge). I hope that helps, but please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else.

      Hi, I'm sorry for any confusion but the FixnZip is a replacement zipper slider. It's intended purpose is to become a full time zipper slider and replace the old one that no longer works.

    • @fearlessfishman

      @ They're optional zipper pull attachments. One is a key ring, for heavier duty zippers. The other is a cord/plastic clip that can be used as a pull. We have images on our online store.

    I just bought 4 of these for 44 UK pounds & they're terrible!!! Before I even bought them I thought the jump from an 8mm to 10mm zip using the same fixnzip was a bit too big. Guess what? I think I'm right. Wanted to use them on a 10mm coil zip but all it's done is damaged teeth & then to add insult to injury, it wont go past the teeth it's just damaged. It actually closes fine but it wont go back, no matter if I loosen or tighten. On an 8mm zip it would probably work, or a 10mm straight zip on a flat table as shown in the adverts but in the real world this has just messed up a £120 pound crossbow bag. Just had another look at what's going on & it seems to shut the zip off center so when you try to open the it, the centre, pointed part of the post is pushing against one side of the zip & not the middle. Should have designed an 8mm version and a 10mm, considering the ridiculous amount these cost they still went the cheap option of making one size fit 2

    • @Arckivio
      @Arckivio 4 года назад

      Replying to my own comment here but only to say that no one should be put off by my experience. In most cases they probably work but at the price they sell these, they should work in ALL cases. If they hadn't been greedy & cheaped out by making only 3 sizes to keep initial manufacturing costs down, they probably would work in all circumstances. Just make sure you order from somewhere with a return policy & don't let them fob you off with the usual, "you're doing it wrong". I build my own machinery, my zip measured 9.98mm on average measured with a Moore & Wright digital caliper, I was not doing it wrong.

      Hi Archie,
      I'm sorry they didn't work on your bag. If you want to reach out to us we'd be happy to have you return them for a refund. Also this is the first we've heard of the product damaging the zipper teeth, so that's concerning. Anyway, there's a couple of ways you can contact us here: www.fixnzip.com/contact/

    • @Arckivio
      @Arckivio 4 года назад +1

      Already returned and refunded. It's a shame because if enough different sizes were made these would be the best out there as the thumb screw makes for a positive closure. The problem is to make these work round a corner means you have to tighten it quite hard and at that point, it pushes the 10mm zip shut to 8mm and off centre. This is because of how the fixnzip jumps the 2mm in zip size. The sloping shoulders that allow this jump are fine on a flat zip but not round corners as stated above, and having to be tightened down. The damaged teeth were purely the shutting down to 8mm and the central pillar not pushing against the center of the zip but against the off centre teeth. My advice, make different size fixnzips, sloping shoulders are great on CAD but not in the real world if you want to price something this high.

    Bought this to fix a small zipper on a jumpsuit... doesn't work. It took almost an act of God to get the teeth in the zipper, since it is spring loaded and very small, but I was able to do it. The zipper is open ended and comes apart after zipping it just a quarter of an inch. So, I used the Fixnzip and it didn't work. I then put it in the middle of the zipper, like you did, and it did work, but when I zipped it to the bottom, it all came apart again. I also squeezed the back, to the point that I used a pair of plyers to squeeze even tighter. The zipper would come together, but almost instantly it would unzip from behind it, at the bottom, again. So... yeah, this product doesn't work for small zippers. Maybe those giant ones you have in the video will do it, but not on what I need

    Better if you showed it with a pair of pants with the zipper swen in to the pants it’s easy with a zipper not installed nearly impossible with a zipper swen into the pants not easy at all so you have any videos showing that
