Engine failure in a multi-engine aircraft can be managed if proper procedures are followed. In this weeks video I demonstrate a critical engine failure at altitude in N245TA showing you how to identify, diagnosis, and restart the engine in flight.
i have a question .what Is Demonstrated engine???
wery well demonstrated, nicely done taking the scare factor out of an engine out, cheers
Always good info Jason! Wick story...Private pilot here but grew up around airplanes my entire life. My dad was an ag pilot..most commonly known as a “crop duster”. Just retired last year with slightly over 12000 hours flying an AT-802. My dads business partner had a son my age and we were best friends..still are. Anyway, we both learned to fly at an early age. We owned a Decathlon back then that had an inverted tank. One day we intentionally flew inverted until the tank emptied, engine shut off, flipped the plane back over and restarted. Definitely not recommended but an interesting event. Just rural Louisiana kids who grew up on a grass runway with apparently more skills than sense.
This channel gives me life bro! Thanks!🔥
That was on point thank you
Since many fatals are the result of losing the critical engine on takeoff, a takeoff simulation at altitude would be useful information to convey to those who pilot the twins. There is only a matter of seconds to react properly to avoid the disastrous results.
Great video and I couldn’t agree more with this comment, would be great to see!
Great video, would love to fly the Tecnam one day
thanks for that great video and can you upload power on/off stall videos with tecnam p2006t please :)
Hi Jasen: How are you? I am trying to get the checklist books you are offering for free until the 31 of Jan. I am already a bronze member. What should I do? Thanks
What would cause an engine to fail in a manner that it could be restarted? If an engine fails mid-flight, is it more likely that the engine will be permanently out of commission?
Excellent video Jason. Thanks for sharing.
Yep, that's one of the nice things about flying a relatively newer and more powerful twin. Those of us who fly much older Seminoles on a regular know it'll take a lot more effort in many cases to get that engine started again 😂.
Greeting to MzeroA,
I notice there isn’t much on Minimum for take off, landing or cruise. This was mention in the King Air Incident.
Great video Jason, thanks for posting! Looking to get my instrument rating and I believe you're instrument ground school would be a great place to start...is it by monthly subscription only or can you pay for the course up front?
God pilot is always learning. Cap joe?
Excellent demonstration. Most of the time I see the engine pulled back to idle, but I greatly appreciate you shutting it down and showing us how to restart in the air.
Jim Biller yes, but not recommended with student any more
What a shame 😠
Cool airplane! Looks easier to fly than a Seminole.
Nice, love your video's!
Do you accept any students?
Great job like all your video
THANK U VERY MUCH!!!
Move your mic down 1/2 inch - off the "air" movement line. Totally irritating. ..
You should of check the fuel pressure before the start.
