    Looking to get my first bike but not sure whether to get the ninja 400 or ninja 650, I have many many years experience on full size dirt bikes so I’m worried the 400 will be underwhelming, BUT I’m not planning on doing much highway riding so should I even worry about the speed difference? Thoughts?

    • @GhostMotoDiaries
      @GhostMotoDiaries  2 года назад +8

      I mean. I thought the same thing when I got the Duke 390.
      I stopped riding for like 10 years & when I got back into riding I was a bit scared to go with a big bike because I forgot how the power felt before. so I got the 390 But then I outgrew the duke 390s power quick... if you have Dirt bike riding experience the ninja 650 is going to be a walk in the park...

      @@GhostMotoDiaries thanks for the reply! Yeah I was originally leaning toward the 400 because I wasn’t sure if I needed all that power of a 650.... but the more I think about it I feel like if I did get a 400 I’d be a little let down with the power, after all I’m pretty positive my yz250f is faster then a 400 so you’re probably right I should just get the 650 and call it a day.

    I just can't decide between Ninja 650 and Z650:X btw. what is the song in the intro? I like it ^^

    • @GhostMotoDiaries
      @GhostMotoDiaries  Год назад +3

      This is the music im using on this video - ruclips.net/video/6WhefAhgeQw/видео.html
      I mean they both got the same engine... z650 is a naked, upright sitting position and the ninja 650 is more sporty and good for twisty roads... I basically went for the ninja 650 2020 model look when I made the choice...
      Also, I have seen people mentioning that the Ninja 650 has more top speed compared to the z650 (not sure).
      are you looking for a daily commute or weekend fun runs? if you are planning to use the bike a lot on the highway and twisty roads the Ninja 650 is the way to go... if you are planning to use it only for commuting 7 days a week then you are better off with the Z650... also, you can modify the heck out of your ninja 650 to make it feel like a Supersports ( Clipons, rear sets, and many more mods )... I ride mine only on weekends. Hope I was helpful...

    • @cr4sher7
      @cr4sher7 Год назад

      @@GhostMotoDiaries Thanks for the song and the feedback! Driving mostly for fun on the weekends. I think I will go for Z650 cuz I can get 2023 model with KTRC. I don't plan to ride much on the highway, only from time-to-time. It just a slight preference, I am more sure it will suit what I need. Having said that, Ninja 650 is also sick af machine! :D I hope I won't regret it.

    thinking of getting the ninja 650, only issue I have heard the tingling buzzy vibration at 4k o 5k rpms that can make your hands numb after some time. How does it compare to single cylinder like the Duke 390?

    • @GhostMotoDiaries
      @GhostMotoDiaries  2 года назад +10

      They are 2 completely different bikes in my opinion... you cannot compare the 2. I know this because I had both at the same time...
      The Duke 390 is a monster at low RPMs and you can just flick it around like nothing.
      the 650 you got mid RPMs and got better torque and I love doing sudden acceleration and pull on it.
      I have gotten the 650 to 185KMph (with a pillion on board) still didn't feel it was struggling and had more to give.
      The buzzing vibration at 4K is just the plastic panel above the TFT display... I got rid of mine by just putting a vibration damping tape between.
      I haven't felt any vibration on my handlebars tho...

    • @markisverygood
      @markisverygood 2 года назад +1

      @@GhostMotoDiaries Good to hear that. I got this on my list with MT07, SV650 and the GSX S750, the whole package , price and tech and all makes the Ninja the sensible choice in PH for your money. I think you are the same guy in the kawi forums right?

      New bikes in this day & age come with so many restrictions to pass so many emission laws... The new 2022 ninja 650 is EURO5 compliant and man it was bad with stock ECU settings and exhaust... Kawasaki Claims that the bike is 67HP which is not true... When I did a Dyno runs the bike was around 59HP at 8500RPM and Rev limiter was 9K... Once the ECU was flashed and dyno tuned they were able to increase it to 64HP and the Rev limiter was increased to 10.5K... I will be taking my bike for a round 2 Dyno tune to see if we can increase the HP a bit more...
      You have no idea how smooth the bike feels now... its much much fun to ride and every $ was worth it in my opinion.

    Great video, and I'm not saying you're inexperienced... I think you're riding quite well in the video... But riding with your fingers touching the clutch & the front brake levers? Outside of that looking very uncomfortable... -Other than one inexperienced new rider in the MSF course I took, this is the first time I've ever seen anyone ride like that on a public street. The instructors at the MSF course kept telling the guy not to do that when riding. Eventually, they got him used to riding without leaving his fingers on the clutch and front brake levers. They said it is a very bad habit that mainly nervous new riders get into. They said it's not good because you're not gripping the hand grips properly & therefore you have less control of the motorcycle.
    They also said that an average person with average reaction time who knows how to operate and ride a motorcycle can grab the levers fast enough to where there is no need for riding with your fingers on them. Again, I'm just quoting what the professional instructors said to that guy, which they then repeated multiple times to the rest of our class.
    Anyway, I gave your video a like
    Thanks for making it! 👍
    Safe travels.

      @@StormAutoAdventures hey brother thank you so much for your reply and you gave so many good points.
      I do not ride with my fingers on clutch and brake when there is no traffic. But when there is alot of traffic around I usually keep my fingers on brake and clutch just in case if someone cut infont of me. I have been riding for close to 15years now and this has helped me get out of sticky situation. Also i do this sometimes riding through traffic so i can react way quicker and i always do 2 finger braking to avoid locking up the front. This could be a bad habit for track riding. Also different instructor can give different points of view. But once you get use to it you dont even realize that you are doing it. You can check some of my other riding videos i dont do that when i ride on clear roads and track. Hope this helps.

    As someone who just bought a ninja 650. This bike is EXTREMELY disappointing. 2020 with yoshimura and some odds and ends. I don't like this bike at all.

      I mean some bikes are not for everyone. What bike did you have before you got the ninja 650?

      it all depends on what you like and what kind of riding you are going to do... I do a lot of City Rides. If I was looking for Speeding Ninja 650 is not the bike... You will have to look into 4 Cylinder bikes that has more top end power...

    Ladies and gentlemen enjoy your machine respect it but also respect others on the road as well do not ride like this guy please do not dodge in between cars and cut multiple vehicles off it is reckless and it is dangerous to oneself and others and it is one of the reasons why a lot of people hate bikers now because they ride like this guy dangerous and reckless and with no regard or respect for anybody else on the road. Again be safe enjoy your rides live long live smart.

      Thanks for your feedback. but lane filtering is not illegal so whats the problem? be honest! have you ever ridden a motorbike?
      also im sorry if someone have hurt you but I make sure I dont put anyone in harms way... if im going to hurt someone its just going to be myself because im the one on 2 wheels... if you really want to see who can be reckless just check my lates clip LOL and then tell me what you think.

      @@GhostMotoDiaries pulling a gun out on an innocent person isn’t illegal either in your world I’m guessing but okay pal 👌. Only a self centered arrogant egotistical maniac wouldn’t see this as dangerous.

      @@majinbuu19831 lol what kind of argument is that? a gun vs a bike... a gun will kill the person you point at... how will a bike kill a person in a car... Thank you for making this easy LOLOLOL

      @@majinbuu19831 now if you think it is "that dangerous and I'm going to kill everyone lane splitting" why don't the Governments do not make lane splitting illegal. Most US states now making lane splitting legal too... you are just upset for no reason buddy...
