We're so glad to hear that! best of luck with your job search and check back for more videos along the way. Laura addresses a lot of BA topics and those can really help with your interviewing.
Hi. Would you recommend to include in the resume a description of a portfolio project? For example, include one or two sentences of what you set out to analyze, a data graph (e.g. in Tableau) and then conclusions?
L MZ - Yes, that can be a great approach for a relevant or capstone project that showcases your experience for a particular position., especially if you want to draw special attention to it, or use it at the beginning when your most recent job title may not pop out to recruiters.
Thank u for this video. My wife is currently working in bpo n want to switch to a business analyst role. She has not done any ave not done the course bt want to apply for the same. Using this method shown in the video, can she update her resume and start giving interviews. Also are there any consequences to this.
Hi Mohan, I'd certainly suggest she leverage the tips that apply to her. Most likely, some of her work in BPO is transferrable into business analysis, and she'll need to do the learning and self-discovery to be sure she is accurately representing her qualifications (while also not minimizing them, which is incredibly common).
If I have worked in 1 company as a business analyst for 3 years in which I got 2 promotions, that means my position was changed twice, so should I write it as separate experiences or just include under 1 experience only?
@Geeta - Congrats on such a quick sequence of promotions - you definitely want to highlight, either by breaking them out or mentioning it as a bullet point. You could really organize this either way. Consider what will allow you to best showcase your experience, and show a meaningful work history.
Short and precise!
Must watch for all aspiring BA's.
Thanks for your support!
