They sound like a tad smoother mid range C800G, for half the cost with a preamp thrown in. It is amazingly close sounding to a C800G and I predict it will be a very popular mic this time next year in any studio still lusting after a C800G. Wade nailed this design.

Anyone that has a functional brain knows that this is not the same preamp the Beatles were using. The size just tells you everything. It may be an analog emulation - nothing more nothing less. And btw. that Redd Pre is much bigger than the mic and power supply together. What does that tell me?
