Thank you very much for your top quality highly informative videos! I have just started in the industry and your videos along with the manuals have helped immensely!! Just wondering if you have come across a Simplex 4100U-S1 Fire Indicator. Keep up the great videos and love your work!
Since this fire finder is used with a conventional module for conventional detectors, there will be no pre-alarm condition. If all detectors are addressable, for a Fire Finder, it's not programmable but thru the AVF. The new Fire Finder Plus can do that.
Hello sir, I used to live in Australia Melbourne and I would always get shocked by a sudden fire alarm without the usual alert tone before the EVAC tone. Is that usual? ( this was back in 2014)
The standard in building occupant warning system (OWS) has changed. Any OWS now automatically goes to EVAC tone not like the old ones. Only big panels, like the EWIS, Emergency Warning Interconnection System, has the alert tones for gradual evacuation especially to taller buildings.
@@bigcomputerman4482 ...the smaller building without an evac tone , followed the newer standard. There are cases that, when the evac system became defective and was changed, they installed, a replacement and only available warning system, which only complies with the present/newer standard.
Watching from Al Khafji Saudi Arabia
Very nice systems.

Can you explain what the Pre - Alarm condition on this system means?

@@fireprotectionguy7943 I see, so the building could have had an older system or the panel was programmed wrong?

@@fireprotectionguy7943 Alright, but it was the EVAC tone that played only not the alert.
@@fireprotectionguy7943 this was the one that went 600-1200 hertz in 3 seconds loop, not the more common .5 second loop
No ASE?
None. But after few alarms, they decided to install an ASE as nobody is in charge of the building on site to attend in any alarm.
