I believe that Eddie Jones may be embarrassed, quite rightly, if Sam Simmons goes. Don't right off Manu, Underhill, Danny Care or Marler (I follow English rugby so I am allowed to nominate these), but also Gray and Skinner should be in with a shout. I'm surprised that Maco is there and also Sexton, but not Russel as he would be great if there was a game to chase. There is some depth this year and hopefully it will be a more even selection from the four nations. So much choice - but they have to gel. Game plan is important - take them on physically, yes, but let's run it!
@@Tianton1 I think Russell will go but will not start. He will be brought on either when a game is safe or as a potential game-changer if things aren't going well (as per against England last year).
I’m also an Ulster fan so maybe a little bias but I went with him instead of Daly cuz Daly’s been far too quite. And also Stockdale was injured through the 6 Nations except the England game that’s why he didn’t start. I just went with him cuz of his attacking quality and power. He’ll be a midweek player if he goes rather than a test starter.

Don’t know how you can’t pick Finn Russell or Jonny Gray they are both machines
Finn Russell hasn't got the attitude to be a lion. I'd not have him in a replica jersey

Sam Simmonds.
Yes!!!
Apart from mako’s inclusion and Harris’ exclusion this is the exact same team I would pick
Jacob Stockdale, Jonny Mayo, Duhan van de Merwe...no chance.
I agree with the squad ..
Finn Russel is a lot better than Dan Biggar
Stockdale? Doesn’t even start for Ireland right now, though he probably should, but definitely not Lions material.

@@extraoffload626 fair enough, liked the rest of the squad though, was justifiable even if I didn’t agree W/ it all
Stockdale no chance
Shocking player can’t defend for his life, we’ve seen what’s Kolbe can do to him twice
I think russle harris and sutherland and alua wyn jones, elliotdaly, kenowens
He's only bringing 36 players so I'll have to cut it down
Maco vunipola over Rory Sutherland really??
did you watch any of the rugby in the past year?????
It’s just my opinion mate. Relax. Everybody is gonna have different squads.
Pretty decent squad but I'm afraid any Lions pack Gatland picks is going to be manhandled and demolished
A pack of
Wyn Jones
Cowan dickie
Furlong
AWJ
Ryan
Itoje
Curry
Falateu
Big, physical and plenty of set piece options. Lineout is crucial
SA will loose because you won't be able to play your usual way , its gonna be a red card fest for you guys .
rees zammit has no where near enough international experience let alone going into the lions
Fastest on two legs . Would run em ragged. In a few yrs will be the best player on the planet.
With what he could bring to the team I’d put him in ahead of most wingers
