    Rebecca, it was so cool to hear you talk about your journey through football and how hard it was but also how much of it hinged on a sliding doors moment of getting that leaflet. You powered through and are now getting the fruits of that labor! Very inspiring!

    Been watching football since 1969.
    Watched all the great on BBC1, ITV.
    Bob Wilson, Frank bough, John motson. Rebecca Lowe you are up there, great job on NBC. All on the above list would be proud.

    Been watching football in the US thru a lot of broadcast rights - Fox Soccer, Setanta, ESPN, etc. The lineup of Becks & the Robbies on NBC has been the most entertaining of all & it shows in how much the sport has grown here. I wish they could get Ian Darke as match commentary though.

    Rebecca, I'm so upset you never mentioned Football Matters!! Wayback when Setanta Sports was a subscription in the USA and a way to view the EPL. They also included subsidiary programming and Football Maters series was on and this was my introduction to you. It was singularly t he best football variety show I had and still to this day ever seen. And you totaly wone me over. So much sos, that when it was announced that you were joining NBC for football coverage, I had a bunch of friends call me to let me know, because I spoke so much about you. And you still have yet to disappoint. Keep up the good work, and bring Football Matters back :-)

    I remember that Because I was Working at Television Centre At the Time whoever Told Rebecca there was Not money was BS it’s Very Rare Talent get a 6month contract especially in the BBC Sports Department I was in the Comedy Department from 1989 till 2006 5 year Contracts i got the last show I commissioned was My Hero 😂😂

I read stories about he was never without a Football even at home, if he’s watching TV he would do it standing up with a ball at his feet. So once your this good at something from an early age, you don’t have desire to develop all the other social skills as a teenager

    Anyone can learn how to talk in front of a camera. It's not a hard thing to do. It's just not accessible to most people.

      It's available to anyone with a smartphone, it's a LOT harder than it looks, so is commentating on radio, many, many moons ago I used to present a hospital radio show, the radio team did commentary at Stockport County home games, which in those days, were on Friday nights, I filled in a few times over the years when one of the regulars was away, itwas 10 times harder than my usual Saturday morning 3 hour show, I have a couple of old cassete tapes with some recordings I did, boy they were dreadful!
