i've had my demon drives for about 6 months and they are just purely amazing!!! can't get enough
I borrowed Demon Drive double pedal from a local store just to try it out as I was interested what is it like, I own Eliminator pedals with belts.
I fiddled with the pedal for two days, trying out different settings. I am going to be honest, I did not like the pedal much. I find it hard to work with, no matter what setting I used. It is very strange feeling, it feels like you have a baloon full of water underneath your foot, sometimes creating more resistance than helping you to play notes. Especially at moderate speed I felt like my strokes were weaker and silent. Slow strokes were strong, but those faster notes were incredibly loud. This pedal is certainly good for metal double bass drumming.
However there are two absolutely great things about this pedal, Z-Link and Drum Beaters. Z-Link really works! I placed it on my old Eliminator and the latency on a slave pedal was gone too. Drum beaters have amazing sound! They are what makes your drum sound good on this pedal, I tried it on my Eliminators and the drum sounded better than before. Way to save money I guess.
The other things I liked about the pedal are Click Locks and all the guidlines to help you set up your double pedal same way.
Now please bear in mind this is my personal opinion. I am not saying it is bad, it just doesn't suit the way I play. I suggest anybody interested in buying those pedals to play with them for few days before buying them.

Hello guys. I just got these pedals in a black version. All I can say is. THEY ARE AWSOME. For the price of 500$ canada. At cosmo music they had 12 in stock for half the price. so 250$! These pedals are just amazing I love them. And since I got them for 250$ :D
Man just like this video says...this Demon Drive Pedal is FAST!! I have my Demon Drive set to the "finesse feel" while I have the beater adjustment set to the "power feel." PERFECT combination! My friends can't stop bragging about this new pedal! BEST ONE YET!!!! I will never switch to another pedal EVER!!
I played a 9000 for about 2 years. I lost in on a train, and when I went to look at replacing it, I tried the Demon Drive. In about 15 minutes with it in the longbeard configuration, I was sold. For $100 more.
@Insectamongus Todd is longtime and current Demon Drive Pedal user although he'll occasionally switch with his Eliminator Pedals just to change it up.
Just got the double.It is the best pedal in the world by far
just got this pedal today for 200 sick as hell when you play continuous bass you cant see it moving back and forth its crazy

I just recently tried these, they are smoother than Axis longboards in my opinion. And probably others as well. And yes they are very responsive, it will make you have dynamics and foot control. I did not however try them on the longboard setting. But I recommend trying these out if you are looking for speed and reaction.

If you like the pedal, it doenst matter what drums you play. any pedal can go to any drums.

nice, yer its awesome how they can convert from short boards to long boards and by shifting a few parts it goes from a light feel to a heavy feel. its reallyy good because it can suit just about anybody even those who play death metal going 250bpm. i played them at the shops a few times and yer they just feel really smooth to play with as well i have to wait till the end of the month for mine because i had to order left handed ones lol
You can convert a double pedal into two singles only with the Demon Drive Pedals.

I replaced my DW9000 double pedal with this yesterday. SO much better!! It really is that fast and smooth. DW hardware has always fallen apart on me!
trust me, pearl isnt stupid. they thought about that as soon as the idea of a switch board pedal came to mind

@DrumKiller2 I was at a local drum clinic a couple of days back, and they let me adjust and play on their demo kit with both a double axis and then a Demon Drive. If you want Axis, they are a good choice, but you really should trigger them first.
due to the fact that they are direct-crive based, they are much smoother and faster in rebound matters

I'm been using my Iron Cobra for about a year but I'm not really happy with it... I bought it after watching a John Blackwell video... My ankles/foot speed has always been pretty weak... Not sure if this pedal would be a better fit but I need something new. That's for sure.
I'm a Pearl Drummer. I choose Pearl from on stage, to the concert hall, to the field, but I find it a bit odd they don't demo speed of the pedal. Talk is cheap. My Yamaha Flying Dragon boasts a lot of the same features.
They are very different pedals. The Demon Drives are very fast and light. The Iron Cobras are heavier and not as fast, but they have A LOT of power. You just need to go to Guitar Center and put the two next to each other and play them side-by-side.

I switched from Axis to Eliminators and it looks like Pearl is now trying to compete with Axis in the direct drive department. I'll stick with my 2000 series eliminators! :-)

i was talking to chris after his signing in sydney about what he thinks of trick pedals, he reckons theyre not as good as axis, but he still has to use them.

i was so cut i got my new kit and im just waiting on the rack to arrive this week and then they told me today i had to wait till the end of october for a left handed set to arrive lol

got the double yesterday, it takes a lot of getting used to.
Not sure what I want, Axis A Longboards, or Pearl Demon Drives. I think I may get the Axis ones, but I need to try out a double Demon Drive because I only tested the single pedal. But these smoke the Iron Cobras and Pearl P120p's (which I currently have).

As with any gear, try before you buy. And if the store won't let you try, walk the f*ck out. Find one that will. Axis, DW, Iron Cobra and now Demon Drive. The truth is they ALL are awesome pedals. You yourself have to decide what suits you best.

i would say axis.....but i think tricks are a bit better then axis becouse of the easy adjustments...tho performance is the same i think
i like my axis but ive been curious to try boa and trick and now demon; havent tried any yet.
the amount of room u have to play on and the amount of reaction time.

Now the most important question... when can I order one???
I just have to say, got my Demon Drive double pedal today and found it extremely hard to dial the exact same settings when messing around on the 2 boards. The right foot may retain it's movement longer than the left (vise versa), or I can't get the spring tension to give enough to play smooth. I'll have to play around.
To be significant to the market these need to be priced far lower than axis pedals.
Í'm saving money for a double set of these, too bad I'm a poor minimun wage student, but when I have the money I am RACING to get them

actually I thing most pedal use 608 size bearing which is the same size as skate board.

I would like to try this pedal, but I think i may be sticking with axis, i havent found a better pedal and i dont think i ever will.
Well yea, Axis were the best pedals, but i don't know how they compare to these now.. George and Tim probly haven't even tried these yet, not to mention, pro musicians play the equipment of whoever sponsers them, although i think George is now sponsered by pearl.

@ericmsandoval Its really worth the money. They are amazing. In the store I tried it and at first was like, "whats the difference?" but after trying some of the other pedals, they don't stand a chance. Best money I've ever spent
