See people having sound issues with carplay (phone, Messages, directions form maps/google maps, etc.). Also, do steering wheel controls work with this unit (long press phone for siri, scroll wheel for scrolling, etc.)?
Hi, nice video. I recently bought a second hand F30 with one of these fitted, I can get Android Auto to work fine (maps+spotify) but no audio comes out of my speakers - what should I be looking for? Thanks
Yeah I went careful from the left side and got all the way through to the right. Literally the last inch I broke it. Lol if you want I can send you pics of it removed so you can see the mounting spots so you’ll be guaranteed not to break it!
10.25” would look great. That’s what I just got, it’s not too big and it has great feedback to it. Also is touch screen. The BMW side won’t be touch screen but CarPlay and android auto both are.

My unit is the same. But on BMW side i dont have service informations on Check Control. Any help?
The bmw side remains untouched when installing this so I wouldn’t think the unit effects that

The boarder does indeed come off. I took mine off and painted it black. Be careful not to break it!! I broke mine and ended up just rolling with it.

I installed the same one in my car but I don't know how to use CarPlay
Open the ZLink app on the unit then on your phone connect to it with Bluetooth. It’ll ask you to use CarPlay. Then after that you’re good!
