Thank you so much! ❤ I was really worried about the temperature and you just provided the simplest solution 💙💙💙
I just wanted to say that I genuinely appreciate the time and effort you have put in to documenting the performance and tweaks for this laptop. I don't even own it but I think you've done a great job.
Thank you is not gonna be enough!
I was soo concerned about temperatures and was trying absolutely everything in youtube but either it was not working or I was getting very performance drops. But this settings not only helped me find balance, but also through easy and native settings. God bless you!!
I have been searching for answers for about 2 years now and this is the simplest and most effective tutorial I've seen. Dropped from 100C to 83C. Cheers Mate!
dude. You saved me. After a year of searching for the overheat problem now its solve❤❤❤❤
I've undervolt my cpu and only got a small drop in temp but with your setting i saw a huge difference from 94c to 74c while gaming. Thank you for this trick and it really helped improve my laptop health a lot!! :)
That's cuz it drops a lot of cpu speed going from 100 to 99 and so on. I still don't get why the drop in frequency from 100 to 99 is so large
The frequency drops a lot because it doesn't turbo boost anymore, but for some reason on my amd cpu it still boosts while having temp decreases
@@someyetiwithinternetaccess1253 amd have better base clock. Might be the reason
is changes from 4gz to 2.6 ive tested it bit homestly the performance different isnt gery much
Update: I found out how to reduce the drop while having same temps
On my amd CPU I realised it's because windows game mode was messing with it, that's why it still has high clocks
After disabling though, my cpu's clock went down to below 200mhz of max base clock, causing stutters in some games
I fixed it my downloading the Power Settings Explorer app (it edits hidden power settings), and instead of setting max processor state 99%, I disabled boost inside of "processor performance boost mode" setting, and now my cpu can run at 3.2ghz max base clock while still being cool
You can also set the maximum processor frequency in there, and I found out that my CPU can still boost to +500mhz above base clock without getting hot, so I limited it to that
Hope this helps some people in the future
I saw a huge different from 95C to 78C. Thank you for this trick!
Is it cpu or gpu temp lowers?
@@devakleo2037 CPU, but GPU temperature is also OK for me - I have good cooling in my laptop. In the summer I use an additional cooling pad under it and it's great!
This is awesome! I've had never though about this. THANKS SO MUCH!! It works perfectly
A Lot of thanks from Brazil, Dude you are awesome
Thanks so much! It helped me reduce my 65+ temp to 58 currently, using a AMD Ryzen 3 3200U
65C isn't bad lmfao, pretty sure that CPU throttles at like 95C.
Brother ! Thanks you so much !!!!
From 92°c to 76°c
Thank you man, its amazing on how reducing cpus max power by 3% lowers my temp by 10 c
Thanks, for me it went from 88 max to 71 max. Great video!
Thank you! Girlfriends laptop (Acer Preditor Helius 16) was running at 100c playing wow classic, I looked up and your video and lowered her power plan to 95 and realized WOW running at 900 FPS so i set the game to 60. Temp back to normal. you gave me the memory back on what to check
Thank you so much, this is exactly what I was looking for.
Destiny player here, the game mainly use Cpu. Drop from 92° to 69° on high settings with this method. THANK YOU.
you deadass saved my laptop heavy bro i appreciate it went from 95-59
me too
I get just 69c on warzone
Just got this laptop from Best Buy for $800. Started up Elden Ring and was scared how hot the top of the keypad got! Gonna try this fix when I get home. Thanks.
Have you got home?
Bro ur a legend tried on laptop and it works tested with yuzu mario kart 8 deluxe and my temps were first 85 now 56 tysm!!!
Thank you so much, this one actually helped! :D
Dude, thank you!! You helped me alot!!!
This is genius! i5-1135 dropped from 90C to stable 56C. And it's much quieter now
Rog strix here. 6800m although my gpu temp were never bad. I did what you said and went from 92c to 83. Ty
You’re actually the best man
man this was a fucking gem!!
cant believe it hasnt blown up
Bro omg, i lost like 3fps (i can still run on 144 most games) and my pc loosed 30 degrees, thx you so much THIS IS THE TRICK
God Bless You Man❤❤❤
Thanks a Lot, Really Appreciate
Thank u so much man u earned a sub
90° to 50° While gaming, you saved my laptop! Thank you!
Thank you for this amazing video bro... you shjould awarded a nobrl prize for this
This video just popped up on my screen saved my laptop ❤❤❤❤
thank you so much ive been coping with up to 92 temps thinking its just bcz i have an acer nitro its 75 max now
Thank you so much, i've been wondering on why my brand new gaming laptop kept climbing up to 70+ despite not playing a game and that it kept increasing the CPU clock to it's boost range although it isn't under any heavy load while plugged in.
Thanks a lot man. It drops a lot. It went from 90+ to 70ish.
DUDE you are a legend. Recently i changed my tuf f15's thermal paste and also bought a cooling pad but my temps was awful nothing was almost changed until i saw this vid. Went from 95 degrees in r6 (heavy game) to a max of 80. You leterally saved me i dont know how to thank you. Followed you man.

@@NWCPcbenchmarks 😂
Thanks a lot! This dropped my temps from 98 to 78 on forza horizon 5 with only seeting it to 99%. Benchmark only showed an average frame drop from 70 to 69 fps so totally worth it
Good to hear man, just some games might score lower
I cannot thank you enough. My laptop cpu went from 95C and on some games overheating, to 80C. I dont have to run my fans as much and as loud and it only cost me like 10fps on games that I was already doing like 140fps. I had to edit the Regedit to get the processor power management because windows removed it for some reason. Totally worth it.
Thank you good sir!
Went from 104° to 73° your a dang lifesaver bro
Thank you for this video, from 92c to 65c.
Thank you so much man!
Nice tips friend👏, thank you for that! God bless you!🙏
Great video, thank you so much went from over 90°C to 62°C.
Will it loose performance?
Thank you so much!!! Bro you saved my Laptop. :D
I was playing Valorant on low Settings and my temp was 75-90c so after i change the Edit Power Plan its 60-75c rn Huge Difference my fps drop by 10-15 but doesnt matter still worth it.
Super Amazing Guide.
CPU Temp - 80-50
GPU Temp 70-45
Thanks for sharing!
oh my god thx u brooo T_T, my msi laptop while playing on battlefield 5 my cpu temps goes brrrr 90-92°c set high, and now max temp on 78°C set high too
thx u very much
I just got my gf65 thin ans it realy work 97 to 79 an 83 thx bro so match
Thanks. That helped a lot
Literally one of the best videos on the internet bro thank you!
Edit: btw just tested in Nioh 2, 93 to 67, this is insane. I honestly thought my thermal went completely dry or something. I was playing with these temps for several months, what an idiot! I hope my shit won't die man😂
im also facing same issue on acer nitro 5 67° while idling
You're for several months? Mine three years lmao :'v
@@magicrock4753fuc acer man fuc it i also have a similar issue
@@IzzanAFuad how about now? do your games still run smooth despite not reapplying thermal paste? asking cause i'm in the same situation as you haha
@@KRAYZ31619 it's smooth sailing all the way
dem its working dude, 80+c to below 65c, thank you so much ❤❤❤
Sick! Temps went from 95 to 63 👍 thanks bro!!!!
is that under heavy load?
Whut the feckkksss It worked! I didnt think it would work this much! thanks man!! love you
this is the best tips ever!. 75 t0 80 celcius are normal temperature when you on game. but after this, my gaming laptop drops to 50 t0 60 celcius on ultra setting mode gaming. this is crazy. thank you so much!
How much change did u made in power management?
@@prem0927just follow his tutorial on description
Thank you, work perfectly in my dell g15
i'm following this step with Old Laptop Asus Vivobook S14 i5-8250, Nvidia MX150, Tested On Dota2, Temp Before i cahange setting is Max 96c average on 80-88c, after i change the setting Temp Going extremely down at around 60c, max only 68c. without external cooler, holyyyyy molyyy, u save my laptop dude. Thanksssss
This settings disable Turbo boost if you have cpu like i5 10300h with base clock on 2.5ghz dont turn it off because it cause super fps drops and lower average fps. Just change thermal paste to Honeywell PTM7950 is a highly thermally conductive Phase Change Material that lasts longer and is more effective than tradiational thermal paste. And dont forget to put something that gently raises the laptop for better airflow
thanks nerd , watching this today and i help me a lot with my new ms1 gf65 16gbram 3060. peace and love to all
Thank you soo muuch! I got mine from 94 down to 77
Thanks a f lott mann temps went from 99 to straight 70 thank you so muchhhh
You’re an angel❤️
i'll definitely give it a go so my Gaming laptop doesn't get too hot
I went from 94 to 66 with this method thank you so much
Can`t thank you enough man☺
Hey dope vid, I saw another vid similar to this where the person did the same thing to lower temps and a lot of people in the comments are also saying this helped them. Does doing this cause any kind of lag in performance or does it have any negative effects on the computer?
perfect, thank you so much
You deserve everything
Thank you so much!
Finally i try this method,cpu tempature 90 to 64 tysm bro 🖤
didn't believe at first
but holy shit it did work
Big chad. Guy even demonstrated it on recording. Well done sir..
Coincidentally, I am playing Dying Light 2015 and you are playing Dying Light 2.
Still had some FPS drops there though because Im on a laptop.
My temps go to 85 c to 70 c and i just lose 3-4 fps but i think my game is running smoother now because my laptop is not throttling anymore. This video is amazing. I wish i done it sooner so i could've save some performance, but it's alright.
wow bro, my laptop had always 90-100 C and after that my cpu went down to 60. :) thank you very much man
Went from 98 to 70 thanks❤
Can you revert it?
Does it have any negative effects? Or is it safe?
Im asking all that because this laptop is my bread and butter
As you arelady have throttle stop just set lower clock in FIVR.. essentially the same thing but it only applies once you open TS
Thank you bro. Got this last week, and boy is the CPU hot! I did download throttlestop but everything's locked. I don't want to touch the BIOS and all that but this, this i can readily do anytime. Will try tomorrow, sleeping off now zzzzzz
Gone from 91 to 47-50 thanks!
i feel stupid asking but what program do you use to monitor temps ingame like that? also i thank you for the very helpful tip, i subbed as soon as my temps DROPPED!
Edit: Its MSI afterburner, i found it myself. leaving this here for anyone else who wants to know
THANK YOU it works on my asus tuf f15 fx506hc i gonna try it on my brother's laptop
Keeping this setting will it damage my laptop long term ? 2070 with a i7 10875H. Only play warzone, apex, madden. Also is it ok to keep my laptop on turbo mode with fan boost while playing ? Thanks man.. Btw i got a cyberpowerPC laptop..
Other way is to just use Throttlestop to set a custom speed. when you click on FIVR you can see the cores 0,1,2,3.... And it's clocl like 35 (3500mhz) you can manually change that to find the sweet spot. Its easier and more customisable than changing the power options.
This method was working for a while until it stopped having a effect it just stays at high temps now
Same why?
Setting 99% also gives me around 70-80c which i am happy with it. Funny thing is it also increased my fps too (I used to had sluttering on some heavy games.) Thanks!
Look up cooling before you buy the cheapest laptop at the time, get a good laptop cooler to go under your laptop, if youre playing where its really hot you could also put a ice pack in the under side of your laptop cooler to blow cold air into the laptop inlet. I have an 13th gen I9 13980hx with a 4070 and run it in maxed out turbo mode and never get above 88C.
Going to try this thanks 😮😮
u are a god for me right now
Lowering my max fps to 110 really helped
god bless this man my temps went from 85c-90c to 55c-60c
This didn't worked for my Asus A15 2023 so i only disabled GPU turbo boost from power plan settings and now temperatures are from 92% Celsius to 65% max.
It's better to sacrifice some speed because laptops will last longer this way.
by setting maxinum thing to anying below 100% you will clock down to 2.5ghz. you can adjust the frequency by running this command in administrative command prompt or powershell: REG ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\54533251-82be-4824-96c1-47b60b740d00\75b0ae3f-bce0-45a7-8c89-c9611c25e100 /v Attributes /t REG_DWORD /d 2 /f then go to power options, processor power management. you should see the option. the lower the maxinum frequency is, the cooler, slower it is.
Thanks i'll try it
Bro can u send me ur discord bcz im new and i cannot understand
Ty it help me alot
Thank you so much! This worked and I'm so glad cuz the high temps were scaring me.
Is your touchpad right click sinked in? Just wanted to ask cuz mine feels sinked in, but I'm not sure if that's normal for the msi gf65. Thanks
Yes that's how it should be
@@NWCPcbenchmarks ok thank you again! You're amazing :)
