I strongly agree with 8th point. Why to just form that Indian bubble when you have the whole world beside you.
Thank you for watching
This man has got something! He is very informative.
Thanks
PHd is not a piece of cake bro.
@@jay-rathod-01 oh so did he did phd in american visa and all?
I love your hindi accent and way to express ideas.
Your information is concise.
Great job.
That officer was so respectful and logical with that guy and he was unnecessarily being hostile towards the officer. This is a perfect example of what to avoid, not just as a visitor but even as a citizen of the country.
Sir, what you spoke absolutely makes sense and with lot of rationale, logic and of course very practical
Thank you for watching
You have made very good point. These points are implied even in their own country too.
Great advice, I could relate every point you made here.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video. You exposed many realities of job life.
I think you have to make a small correction, H4 is available for anyone who is a spouse of H1B, the H4-EAD is available only for those who have progressed a stage in the GC process, otherwise great content 👍
Nice and clear instructions. Keep on writing and talking to people who are desirous of studying and working abroad.
Great suggestions!
You are doing a great service to all students and H1B visa holders from India. God bless you.👍
Great stuff, VERY practical and sensible. Viewers should watch ALL his videos, IF they plan to migrate to USA. Cheers
Hey bro.. so nice to see a GSU alum giving such clear info... even I am from GSU :)
Glad to hear that
Kya baat hi sir badhiya jankari aapane dilog iska avashya Labh uthenge ,🙏👍
Very well said and true! Given you background in business/finance, maybe you could make similar videos along the lines of smart financial decisions in terms of do's and don'ts of investments and savings for professional who are H1B holders, green card holders as well as naturalized citizens.
I have gem of information in this regard and will definitely make a video on it. Things I will explain logically that will shock many people but they will benefit immensely from it
@@DesiAmericanProfessor could you please provide some links on financial literacy and ettiquets
All your points tell that you must live like a slave. I'd rather die hungry in my own country with dignity than being a slave to those americans .
Professor, I love your style of presentation. Watch your videos even though I have NO intention of coming to USA....Regards
Sir you are great.
You are really polite human being and your communication skill is remarkable.
Thank you

Your no 10 suggestion was very funny but so real! People please remember that last suggestion even if you are a citizen. You don’t know who will pull a gun on you.
Aapne jo bhi bola saab kuch sach hai, bahut dhanyawadh! :) Aap aapne videos ko pura hindi me bana sakte hai taki bus desi log aapke videos samaj paye.
That's very kind of you to say it as it is...thanks for sharing...
You said it. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Very much straight forward ...logical..yes you feel so lucky for people staying in America but the fear is always there..great realistic crisp videos.thank you sir.

Perfect professor!!
I never bought car in the Singapore, the UK and now in canada since 2019 but I am still not sure I will buy now…may be in near future that will be also Honda, Hyundai or Mazda second hand between
4000-10000 CAD small car
Though I love BMW Z4 very much 😅
Great work, you are taking efforts to tell all of this. Though I experienced same things but I never explained this to anyone. Keep it up 👍
No. 2 blunder was quite crucial for us (foreigners).
I stumbled your channel and it's very informative if someone has American dream.
Excellent video and information. And learn to say sorry and thank you. Be polite to everyone and just follow the rules. Do community service and other social services and teach your kids to do the same. Participate in local community events. It goes a long way when then try to get admission in college.
Very Good advice and explanation. You have a good experience!
You have it on point! Thank you 🙏🏽 for being absolutely honest.
Even if you are a Green Card holder or a naturalized US citizen there are a few crimes that that take away your GC or US citizenship. Keep yourself well informed of latest changes in immigration laws.
I am your new subscriber from Sydney, Australia. Originally from Pakistan - Your videos are very helpful and informative.
I found many likes such who only talk with their state people only? Some H1B people are very arrogant as well.
Very true... specially South Indians.
Good informative one !! Like it
A UTD grad student, I loved your all advices in this video, made me a subscriber.

Hi Sir. I am an indian chartered accountant. My fiancee lives in Albany new york since last 10 years. He is on H1B visa. In case i go ahead, i will be on H4 dependant visa. In such case as per the video there is no guarantee about will i get job or no. But can he stay in USA for long period? Is there any stability in such cases?
Thanks
Definitely ,you r True Man 👍. maximum indian ppl try to find same kinds of person which belongs to same country.
bahut acchaa information diyaa bhai
Very very useful and to the point explanation👏👏👏👏
OMG!! After watching these videos, it makes me think that someone in india with similar qualifications will have a less stressful and more relaxed life.
Very nice..I am not ever coming to usa but appreciate your suggestions
Really very informative... It will really help me when I ll do my residency in USA. Thanks ❤️
Best of luck!
@@DesiAmericanProfessor sir can you make video on INDIAN DOCTORS struggling in usa with H1b visa.
Is they required same duration to get green card?
I am planning to go to USA for residency. I am preparing usmle exam to get residency in usa.
Dr Surya Vijay Singh I am no immigration expert but from what little I know doctors are not subject to h1b lottery. So doctors easily get the work visa by default. For green card though it’s the same situation for them as well.
@@DesiAmericanProfessor thank you sir 😊
Very nice ... keep up with good work.
God bless you
Thank you Sir
You are amazing Sir. Keep it up. Its a very good thoughts.

Is there any stage in the Green Card process if one loses their job, the 60 days grace period is not applicable or maybe one gets more time to search for a job than a person who is in H-1B visa category ?
I wish I could help. But my own knowledge on immigration issues is dicey. To the best of my knowledge, if one does not have a GC, they are considered to be on H1B. When an employer files for green card, he is saying that I want this person who is already working for me, to continue working for a long time. I really want him so please help me keep him in the country so he can do the work for me that a US citizen is not able to do. Therefore, based on little understanding I have, when an employee changes his company, the GC petition is no longer valid. The employee must start the GC process all over again with another employer. Same happens when the employee loses his job. But all of what I am saying is based on what I heard many years ago from other people. I really do not have first hand knowledge. So do not count on what I am saying.
@@DesiAmericanProfessor Thank You for providing the information.
Very sensible compilation
Always be prepared for
- Do not take your job and life for granted in Canada/USA - black swan events - be prepared for uncertainties-prepare your mindset, ,create systems to deal with these situations. - unfortunate events can happen any time, - there is no full job security.
- Don’t expect a smith ride - you can’t change jobs easily, constant hustle of paper works, people miss big life events - such as funeral etc,
- Don't ignore the power of Social Circle - schedule meetings with people, don’t live normal life, be friend with everyone, you never know who can help - who can’t help,
- Don’t give false hopes to your spouse - uncertainty about jobs, uncertainity about moving back to the country again etc.
- Don’t ignore children’s cultural upbringing, - teach them both languages, both cultures etc,
- Do not buy Expensive things - if you can’t afford 2 of them don’t buy 1 of them, - friend lost job,
- Don’t buy Expensive Homes,
- Do not get into Trouble with the law's - court decides guilty or not, you are bound by laws,
- Do not be stupid with social media - do not talk about politics, sex, race, religion, - Avoids fights - anyone can have a gun,
3:53 Exactly!
Very true and useful tips. Nicely explained.
Glad you liked it
Sir, I Wish, we could have you as a faculty in our Indian colleges, but it is our bad luck that you work for a US university. Every young mind is going to USA because they get paid well, really unfortunate.Thumbs up to this video, great content.
Sir you post great content, thank you!!!
Hello sir this is Pujayant from India!
And I really love to watch your videos.
You opened a new way of sight for me!
Big love from INDIA❤️
And sir it's a request to you that make a video on GREEN CARD what struggles, problems, and after getting green card? Kya hum green card ban Kia jaskta hai? 👈🏻These kind of things please make content on this sir!❤️
made two videos already on this. Please check out my channel
Any sort of domestic violence (quarreling with neighbors or wife/husband) also will cause issues in your H1b and GC process.
Your videos are very informative.
Glad you like them!
Very good explanation.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Great Video🙏🙏🙏🙏
Nice points. Can you also please advise on savings and investments for h1b salaried people ?
I love my India... I don't want to come in a country that doesn't give immigrants freedom. India is so good with immigrants... Also I don't think I need to go US just for engineering if you are in good enough college. I am happy in IIT
Very ture. And very well explained thx
Very Informative video. Thank you Sir Ji 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Most welcome
I have come across your video's offlate on my feed and have watched a few of them. I like some of the points you put and I dislike some of the points you speak about. US for long has been a land of dreams and lot of people have come here and have been pretty successful and this is because of their perseverance, hard and smart work. People from countries like India come here to get a better taste of life. Your videos even though have reality sometimes go too far. For example you were speaking about Black swan events, this is not your country, you are on H1B etc. People do know this and are aware of the facts that GC hone ka chances kam hai are need to be careful whether on the work front, whether being law abiding as they are living on thin line. Being a professor yourself and a GC recipient at that, I expect your video's to have more positivity on how people can Succeed in US rather than speaking about the possibilities for them going back. In this video, you were referring to the specific point of purchasing a car of their choice. Come on a young college grad if he /she has the right mindset would be quite capable of affording a Porsche by virtue of their skillset as well as capable to retain it. India main tho Porsche kya eik Honda Accord kareedna mushkil hai bhai for lot of people if they had not immigrated to US. Ye bolo ki don't live beyond your means but comparing someone who has purchased a sports car with you driving a Honda is taking it too far in my opinion. If you look at the stats, majority of the Indians buy Honda's or Toyota's and to an extent Merc's / Beemer's / Tesla's and Audi's with an average car buying between $20k to $45. Setting the right expectations to your spouses is correct and agreeable and at the same time, you could also speak about how such people can stay productive. US does not prevent anyone from up skilling even though they are on dependent visa's.
I hope your next set of video's will be more positive than taking about worst times, job losses etc as there are 100s of YT creators and law firms who keep hammering the same stuff out.
Yeah btw I have liked the points on Social assimilation, Developing networks which will come a long way in having people with the right intent and goals reach their dreams.
Very thoughtful comment indeed. We can always have difference in views on things right?
In this video, I was not trying to spread positivity or negativity. I was only trying to spread awareness. Regarding purchasing an expensive car, the said person was a contractor, not an employee, and had been earning for only 2-3 months. He got carried away. If one has a stable job as an employee, then it might be better. Contractors are much easily hired and fired. Which is what happened in his case. Without a job, he could not pay his car loans which ruins credit history.
Thank you for the suggestions. I have a very positive video under works too :)
Sir please throw some light or try to make a new video on the topic related to the travel restrictions that an international student has to face when he is on H1B visa or STEM OPT. As you said in this video that people are not allowed back into the US once they go outside for any weddings or funerals or any other reason.
Very well said bro
Very informative sir
Wonderful tips my friend.
Professor i really like your style 👍🏻
What is going on regarding issue of backlog green cards in USA. Specially to the HIB visa holders (under work permit. Who are doing their job in USA for long years.

Are bhaiya 11 sal ho gae gc k wait men so it’s an issue... u can purchase a house and in case of emergency u can give it to 3rd party rental management companies who can rent and manage for u. Complications but it may not lead to direct loss of house
So true. Love you for honesty.
