I am sorry, but I disagree with this analysis. In my opinion most of the statistics/result are biased since the scale is tipped towards the US just on the basis of numbers. A city of 1000 will have more jobs than a city of 10 for example. So a fair analysis would be with a ratio of per million population per say. Germany's free education covers up their living cost..before coming 2 🇺🇸 my first plan was to do masters in Germany due to free education and great opportunities..turned out u would have to spend more 💰 than in 🇺🇸 at the end of ur masters completion, with very very limited part time jobs..and extra burden learning new language and ofcourse with more racism...u pay 60% or more taxes so u get Healthcare(won't agree its free)..if u live outside California...there's no much of tax burden..quality of life was much better..they have messed up with refugee crisis
Some numbers crunching sir must have taken a great effort to collect compile and collate the numbers..Thanks for putting things in perspective especially when there is a sense to exit the US...although US is the best bet but for the Damocles sword of uncertainty
Good informative Video !! A good point in this comparison would have been the VISA / PR , which might change the scenario, looking at the latest immigration policies by US. As a student getting the ROI is important by staying longer in the country.
There were 17,000+ Canadians who became US Green Card holders in 2019 according to USCIS while according to StatCan there were a little over 10,000 who became Canadian LPR's from the US which not only includes Americans but also foreigners on temporary visas like H1B etc.
Thanks for sharing this. I see some people disputing the data but I think the intent of this was just to point out the general trend of things. Immigration/settlement are important things that these 'other' countries offer but just like in a game of poker, you play a hand that you get right! At a young age, with education from a reputed american university, I am okay with risking a few things for a chance to get better global exposure. IMO it's when you're in your thirties when settlement starts to become more important. Hopefully by that time you have a good enough global network that you can find a job in countries that offer an easier path to permanent residence. Again, like a game of poker, if you know how to play your cards right.
Good numbers ! Can you please make a video on medical facilities and how to cover them with insurance including expensive surgeries ! Cost given by patients and insurance company.
Australian employers look for permanent residents (already there are plenty of people)and citizens than hiring a person, who’s on open work visa. Most of ICT jobs are outsourced to Indian tech giants like TCS and Infosys which leaves a small portion of ICT Jobs for which employers have to go with LMIA for hiring a international graduate. Furthermore, ICT and other white collar jobs are based only in metros like Sydney, Melbourne , and Brisbane, which makes job hunt a daunting task for most of the international students.
The Population of the USA is far more than combined Canada, Australia, Germany & the UK. The comparison does not show the entire picture. With H1B dreams become tougher and tougher, We should come back in 5 years and do the same reality.
Thank youu, for such useful information. You are helping a lot of people through your channel. I request you to please give guidance and information about applying for fall 21.
What about Job stability ? What about the ratio of international students entering to each country and the number of international students returning back to their homeland (within 7 years of graduation) ? That’ll give you a clear picture. Also, what about the average time to get a PR status in these countries ? What about Work life balance ? Australia and Canada top the charts and have the most livable cities in the world despite whatever numbers you’ve presented. Job opportunities will only be good enough when one can eventually and in a timely manner, settle in that country and have that peace of mind.
Sir your views on the Points Based Merit immigration system that Trump recently talked in an interview telling that he’s going to sign an executive order for the same in the coming weeks? Is it only for DACA countries or for everyone related to H1B and Green Cards?
I am looking to go into academic and work as a teacher in Aus or US. Could you tell me which is better as US has the problem with Visa inspite of having more schools

Sir, one of the professors ensured me that he needs a grad student in the upcoming fall, and also has funds for that. He also encouraged me to apply for the PhD program. But my profile especially the gre cut off score does not meet the UV admission requirement. So, what should i do in this situation? And is it still possible to get admission without meeting the gre cut off score? If yes, then how can it go for that? Hope, i get your kind feedback.
Could you please if possible make a video about students who plan to pursue masters but have low scores in their bachelors but have some work experience? What are their best bet in terms of countries where they could get admissions and the like?
A very great video sir. I have few questions sir, and you can have a great topic for next videos. I think most of the IT and consulting jobs will be outsourced to India etc/ have already been outsourced. Also, the number of graduates in data science etc have really shot up, and I think the supply has overtaken demand. So, what are the best fields to get a good job in US? What is the job scene in core mechanical, electrical, materials science etc, as most jobs seem only in CS/consult and they might get outsourced. What do the US citizens make career in, so that their job is not outsourced?
karthik, what India is getting money via outsourcing the same or more money flowing back to US via so called education racket.. U cannot beat them they will suck the blood in some or the other way.. China is the only intelligent country.. know how to play .. we were colony and we are colony even today...
It seems one key differentiator for emigrants from India is whether they want an easier route to employment in the US but then endure a hard time keeping their immigration status, including being tied to their sponsoring employer, or to endure more difficulties up front in finding employment in CAN/AUS/UK but have an easier path to permanent residency. Germany has an additional language hurdle.
Amazing presentation. I agree with graduate roles in Australia. We don’t get jobs as we don’t have experience. Had to wait for 2.5 years to get field job.
There are some hidden realities I think you have missed to highlight, it doesn't matter how big is America - if it is not serious on international student policy, uk, Australia and other countries are trying best to attract international students but USA is giving wrong signals by creating hassles for international students by its uncertain policies. Visa issues, H1B and other visa issues, statements like cancellation of OPT training for students etc. After investing the big amounts of loan and debts there is no guarantee of the returns. At least a masters student can get PR in canada after completing studies.
To all those who say getting an Australian PR is easy, please re-check your assessment. Those good old days are gone by. Australia is effectively closing on its much-debated immigration program and in all probability will make it extremely difficult to procure. So far, only Canada has been somewhat nicer in this aspect. But job opportunities are a different thing altogether
not entirely true, i have a full time IT job in adelaide and i have just finished my masters, it all depends on the student. as i am in a regional area, i have great chances of getting PR as i am working in my field and have 100 points
I hope you can talk about h1bs, extensions and uncertainty of living in US. Canada gives an opportunity to settle there! If its easy to get green card in US then yeah my choice will be states always. Imo its not about $ rather certainty of living at one place without worrying about immigration
The reason why I explicitly mentioned about uncertainty with living here is i know a couple who lived in US for 12 years and their kids were studying here, bought a house. There were about to get their GC as well but as their extension is denied they had to leave the country and move back to india
Adil Alfa - when u study and work in canada they give the people an opportunity to settle there! Thats how their immigration system works irrespective of nationality
@Adil Alfa Canada has 1/10th of the population of US. If Canada wants to improve their economy they will need more people in their country who can work. This is what US has done long ago. That is the reason Canada has the points system for immigration and inviting people from all over the world to work and live in Canada. Hopefully, Canada will have better economy in future.
Yes this is a good video. Well presented data. I guess the order should be USA, Canada, India, UK, Germany, Australia. i.e. Students could consider staying in India over the latter 3 countries wrt to long term outlook+opportunities
Okay let’s say you get a job in USA and you earn 100k. And in Canada you earn about 70k. Definitely in three years you have leave USA after trump’s announcement. And you can get PR in Canada easily as compared to us after 3 years. So 3 years earnings in USA = 3x 100k = 300k In Canada, you can work forever after getting PR. So 70k x throughout your life = ? Dollars. Now after you return to India, if you earn about 10k dollars per year, you will earn way more less than the Indians working in Canada. So which is better now?
@Desi American Professor : US is huge, has one of the best education systems , a good private health system and tons of employment opportunities but do u think given the current scenario , especially for Indians do they stand a chance to secure a good life . Life as we know can encompass job, family, quality of life and lastly the certainity of life. Can you do a part 2 of this video covering the aspects of life that makes you decide on a location.. Secondly, how certain is the path of L1 or H1B for a family of 3 with both partners working? Is the only way to get a job for spouse thru an advanced degree and OPT? Please leave a reply. Awesome channel ..
Thanks for such an informative and detailed video Professor 🙏 However, I would like to include one essential point and that’s the settlement. The USA is highly uncertain in terms of permanent settlement. There’s a strong reason why Australia and Canada attract so many international students. The number itself tells the whole story. Everyone knows US has better education and job opportunities, the only thing it lags is permanent residency. People want to settle down and live a quality life Canada and Australia provide high quality of life, no wonder I’ve never seen a US city in the list of top 10 most liveable cities in the world. Apparently you would always see Melbourne Sydney Adelaide, Vancouver Toronto Calgary in the list.
@@DesiAmericanProfessor Your videos are really good but he has a point.. Livable cities means people there are happy.. They won't be happy if they don't have job/ income. And jobs are not the only way to make money.
Ridhi Arora I agree Job’s are not the only source of income having a certainty and a status allows you to have access all the other benefits that the country have to offer which US clearly doesn’t and if we look at the statistics the population says everything , the lesser the population lesser the job in number but that doesn’t mean the job availability is less , I don’t think the main factor to look at is the total no of jobs in deciding if it is feasible to have a job in any of these countries instead what is important is to check the unemployment ratio and that will tell you everything and also the rules and restrictions that comes along with staying on a visa and having a permanent representation .
@@DesiAmericanProfessor i agree but hey why be a job seeker and not create for the people considering we have people like you to keep us youngsters aware at an early age to do so🙏🙋♂️
A very good description but sir, i believe there are lots of things to consider. You are using absolute numbers for jobs n others. If u use % or Ratio, its more relevant. Also Pls consider Pay differences, unemployment differences. I am not sure how true is fact but i heard if someone earns below $120,000 in Palo alto, its close to poverty line. Better thing to see is to use PPE tool which shows that 15 lacs in bangalore is close to 100,000 USD in USA and relevant to other countries. Overall, it was very interesting. Thanks for sharing
True Use of Data Analytics Skills Sir. It would be interesting to know the ratio of students coming in US on F1 to no. of students who get full time jobs with sponsorship breaking down with their Major, also % of how many of them got their green card filed
if usa provides permanent resisdency to the students then number student will forget about moving to can and australia.I really like how germany works: the immigration is lengthy but they will not kick you out and best social benefitss

Sir, even I an willing to join University of Arlington, Texas and want to study business and finance. And my Senior residing in Texas suggested me this university and as I am following you since quite a long time I knew about this university a bit. Do they offer scholarships for international freshman’s? What’s the procedure for it if you can make a video about it or if you can tell
The video is extremely informative, very hard to find data. Thanks a lot for making such video. However, we should judge a country by its future rather than looking at its past. Peace.
I think the video is misleading and by this video it does not mean thet greater population have greater opportunity. Then Sir Why are you not in India but in USA...
Switzerland is a good place to gain knowledge with top university like ETH, but if you want to settle for work, it’s not easy. Swiss prefer citizens for work than an alien.
@@LidcombeLegend Depends very much on where you are from. My company of 400 people had about 40 nationalities. And less than half are Swiss. Any European is easily admitted.
Thank you Sir for this informative video. But would like to have more clarity about USA after Covid 19 situation. If we spend a lot of money and efforts to do MS in USA what will be job situation in 2021,22. ?? Sorry to bother you.
Dear professor I have recently applied for a postdoc position under a USA supervisor. I got a reply that according to Trump's new rules foreign students won't get visa. What is your view in this regard? I will be more than happy to be answered. Thanking you.
I have a question sir, I'm in USA on a J1 VISA in hospitality industry for a year. I have my completed MBA in hospitality & Tourism management in India. What are my chances of jumping to a H1b from j1 or do i need to do a PHD here and get a f1 visa first. Please guide. Thank you sir, you make lovely videos
Very many Americans have more than one job to make do. How did you take that into account in your comparisons? And you mentioned that many of the jobs in the US have very low qualifications and probably earn very little. Do they still have benefits like healthcare like every job in Europe? Why should that kind of job be of interest for somebody who went to college?
If you are a genuine student of Science, a PhD in US is still a great option. But you need to be dedicated, genuine and very strongly interested in Science. Its a long game but one that will pay handsomely in the long run. Stop chasing small two year (MS and MBA) goals and instead plan to come to US with a well prepared strategy. This works!!
Sir make 1 more videos about BBA course and over all detail which are required like academic eligible finance and many more other and also scope and adding your suggestions by your teaching and USA carrier experience
Please don't blame only Australia. We all know that US also treats their education as a business. It is not unknown that the US education is the costliest among all. Recently, I forget the exact name, may be UTD proudly announced they can manage to provide unlimited number of admission. Now more number of jobs doesn't mean more opportunities. How many out of those 5 millions are allowed to hire international students? Due to the H-1B visa issues, many companies are shifting towards Canada, Ireland etc.
The only reason I am considering UK is I really like the it's culture and history and the immigration is very hard or nearly impossible in the USA as an Indian.
It's hard, but not impossible. You can work on OPT for a year once you get a job offer. After that you would need your employer to sponsor you an h1b visa which is next to impossible right now.
Hello sir, What if I do my PhD studies from uk as it takes 3-4 years to achieve the degree while in America it is 5-7 years? Do they count the same?just wanted to ask.
@@DesiAmericanProfessor ok sir, thanks for your spontaneous response, really appreciate it. I consider your channel one of the most knowledgeable about telling the reality facts about USA for higher studies.Keep going!
@@ujjwal9781 i think the reason for difference in time is... in USA PhD students have to undergo lot of grad subjects(20-30 credits i think) to get ready for proper research.. which is not the case in Europe... unless you don't have a masters degree with good research getting into PhD is impossible. Quality of PhD depends upon the research topic and lab you work upon and your supervisor.
If you are focused on earning money that may be true, but quality of life is quite important for most people. I highly doubt the US can hold a candle to other countries.
Been watching your videos. You make some great points but you miss out a a very important one. In canada you can easily obtain PR then citizenship and then move to the US as a Canadian citizen under the TN visa which way way easier to obtain than H1B. Also you can freeely travel to the US (as a visitor) as a Canadian without even needing a visa. Lots of my friends came to canada as international students became citizens and are now working in the US. Now yes, green card is still a long wait (if you were born in india) but you can live your entire life on TN visa in US which is very easy to renew than H1B.

Exactly professor has cracked the immigration puzzle but not everyone can crack it
Thank you so much sir for presenting this reality! God bless you!
Good Informative Video !
There were 17,000+ Canadians who became US Green Card holders in 2019 according to USCIS while according to StatCan there were a little over 10,000 who became Canadian LPR's from the US which not only includes Americans but also foreigners on temporary visas like H1B etc.
Those Canadians may be Canadian born and not born in India
Informative 👍
Very strong analysis - Can confirm the statistics, being an international student in Toronto, Canada
Furthermore, ICT and other white collar jobs are based only in metros like Sydney, Melbourne , and Brisbane, which makes job hunt a daunting task for most of the international students.
not entirely true, i have a full time IT job in adelaide and i have just finished my masters, it all depends on the student

I request you to please give guidance and information about applying for fall 21.
spot on
Useful video sir
What about Job stability ? What about the ratio of international students entering to each country and the number of international students returning back to their homeland (within 7 years of graduation) ? That’ll give you a clear picture. Also, what about the average time to get a PR status in these countries ? What about Work life balance ? Australia and Canada top the charts and have the most livable cities in the world despite whatever numbers you’ve presented. Job opportunities will only be good enough when one can eventually and in a timely manner, settle in that country and have that peace of mind.

Great content sir . Already subscribed your channel .

Hope, i get your kind feedback.
apply. If you get in, go, if not, try elsewhere
You have not compared the per capita income, That is a great point to add into your video
Per capita income is not a good metric. Probably median wage in your field of interest is a better metric
Exactly
To all those who say getting an Australian PR is easy, please re-check your assessment. Those good old days are gone by. Australia is effectively closing on its much-debated immigration program and in all probability will make it extremely difficult to procure. So far, only Canada has been somewhat nicer in this aspect. But job opportunities are a different thing altogether
not entirely true, i have a full time IT job in adelaide and i have just finished my masters, it all depends on the student. as i am in a regional area, i have great chances of getting PR as i am working in my field and have 100 points
Really informative sir...
Thanks and welcome
I hope you can talk about h1bs, extensions and uncertainty of living in US. Canada gives an opportunity to settle there! If its easy to get green card in US then yeah my choice will be states always. Imo its not about $ rather certainty of living at one place without worrying about immigration
Good point. Will consider making a video on it
The reason why I explicitly mentioned about uncertainty with living here is i know a couple who lived in US for 12 years and their kids were studying here, bought a house. There were about to get their GC as well but as their extension is denied they had to leave the country and move back to india
ielts prep that is really sad
Adil Alfa - when u study and work in canada they give the people an opportunity to settle there! Thats how their immigration system works irrespective of nationality
@Adil Alfa Canada has 1/10th of the population of US. If Canada wants to improve their economy they will need more people in their country who can work.
This is what US has done long ago.
That is the reason Canada has the points system for immigration and inviting people from all over the world to work and live in Canada.
Hopefully, Canada will have better economy in future.
Yes this is a good video. Well presented data. I guess the order should be USA, Canada, India, UK, Germany, Australia. i.e. Students could consider staying in India over the latter 3 countries wrt to long term outlook+opportunities
thank you sir
but does this mean US is like quality with the quantity compromised?
i mean like they choose the best entries for green card so
Your channel is real eye opener, that's y I subscribed it😊
Thank you so much 🙂
Okay let’s say you get a job in USA and you earn 100k. And in Canada you earn about 70k.
Definitely in three years you have leave USA after trump’s announcement. And you can get PR in Canada easily as compared to us after 3 years.
So 3 years earnings in USA = 3x 100k = 300k
In Canada, you can work forever after getting PR. So 70k x throughout your life = ? Dollars.
Now after you return to India, if you earn about 10k dollars per year, you will earn way more less than the Indians working in Canada. So which is better now?
All true :)

Apparently you would always see Melbourne Sydney Adelaide, Vancouver Toronto Calgary in the list.
but what would people do if they don't even get a job. These are small countries by populations and have very limited employment opportunities
Australia is gud but canada is noway a country to settle..boring country with very less jobs and pay

And my Senior residing in Texas suggested me this university and as I am following you since quite a long time I knew about this university a bit. Do they offer scholarships for international freshman’s? What’s the procedure for it if you can make a video about it or if you can tell
Yes however it is highly competitive
The video is extremely informative, very hard to find data. Thanks a lot for making such video. However, we should judge a country by its future rather than looking at its past.
Peace.
I think the video is misleading and by this video it does not mean thet greater population have greater opportunity.
Then Sir Why are you not in India but in USA...
You nailed it bro....🙌🙌🙌
The land of the free has no equal.
What about science especially physics in Switzerland ....
Switzerland is a good place to gain knowledge with top university like ETH, but if you want to settle for work, it’s not easy. Swiss prefer citizens for work than an alien.

Why should that kind of job be of interest for somebody who went to college?
valid point, and I had acknowledged it in the video
If you are a genuine student of Science, a PhD in US is still a great option. But you need to be dedicated, genuine and very strongly interested in Science. Its a long game but one that will pay handsomely in the long run. Stop chasing small two year (MS and MBA) goals and instead plan to come to US with a well prepared strategy. This works!!
Most of the people take admission for phd and leave when they find a job and h1 b visa

You cannot compare US dollars with CAD dollars that’s very bad comparison.
The cost of living and house prices are in Canadian dollar in Canada
Sir I have a personal question regarding US studies please can you share some email, contact or anything like that please
Welcome to the racism in uk 😂
Sir can I get a job in health care setting in america after doing masters of nursing from a US university??
It's hard, but not impossible. You can work on OPT for a year once you get a job offer. After that you would need your employer to sponsor you an h1b visa which is next to impossible right now.
Great video. Please make this in Hindi. It would help students parents to understand the whole picture. Thank you
Hello sir,
What if I do my PhD studies from uk as it takes 3-4 years to achieve the degree while in America it is 5-7 years?
Do they count the same?just wanted to ask.
Not really. The quality of PhD can be very different. The quality of training in general is superior in the US
@@DesiAmericanProfessor ok sir, thanks for your spontaneous response, really appreciate it.
Sir I am doing graduation . I will do masters from US after that . Will it still worth after 3-4 years also to do masters from United states ?
Yes if it technology science mathematics
Are there ample job opportunities in US for international students who did his master's from US??
Getting h1b is the toughest part
Yes lot of job opportunities with a footnote saying we are unable to sponsor work visas at this time😂😂
If you are focused on earning money that may be true, but quality of life is quite important for most people. I highly doubt the US can hold a candle to other countries.
But what about immigration in USA
That's tough
it's all about quality, not quantity
Been watching your videos. You make some great points but you miss out a a very important one. In canada you can easily obtain PR then citizenship and then move to the US as a Canadian citizen under the TN visa which way way easier to obtain than H1B. Also you can freeely travel to the US (as a visitor) as a Canadian without even needing a visa. Lots of my friends came to canada as international students became citizens and are now working in the US. Now yes, green card is still a long wait (if you were born in india) but you can live your entire life on TN visa in US which is very easy to renew than H1B.
excellent point
Will talk about this in a future video
