If you are having problems with that I would say its a combination of not letting enough line out, angle that the rod is held at and speed. Ultimately if you let out enough line it will sink.
When you are trolling alone on the boat and you have 2 or 3 rods out and you hook into a fish do you keep the engine going and if so are you afraid you might lose your baits
First video of yours that I've watched, you've a pleasant, relaxed narration with some good tips mixed in.
@@1989Outdoors thanks 😊 means alot !
Awesome lad❤
@@SavageRob_ thanks Rob 😊
what speed do you find is a good starting point for trolling this time of year?
@@tastykeycoffeecup 2mph is a good speed for the line thru 👌
Do you add weight to the lure when using the planer boards? How far from the lure do you clip the board? Finding mixed success with them
@@manta400r1 I only use the planer boat to bring the lures out from the boat. So keep same distance as you are having success the no planer board

What are your trolling speed for each type of lure, you find best
@@jimmeyler9090 I find around 2 mph or less is good 👍
I get the deadbait rod out in December Ryan, not mad about it but it does produce good fish. Best results I've found to be February. Tight lines
@@davidhunt6322 fully agree. Definitely easier to get the heavier on deads.
How do you stop the line thru lures hitting the surface when trolling? Cheers 🍻
@@Ndu62626 I don't have that problem with them. Speed and making sure hooks are loose on the lure (wire isn't tight) and should be ok

I always keep the motor running stationary , the best is to use floating lures . Sometimes heavy lures or when you use lead lures get stuck 😢

Any tips for trolling a lake with no fish finder?
@@jasonL2K11 just keep lures shallow and keep trying all areas. Not alot you can do other than experiment in different areas.
if its a relatively well known lake you may be able to get a depth chart if you google it. Will at least give you some level of reference.
Nice pike. What fish finder do u use?
@@pronoun_dilemma thanks it saved the day. I use the garmin eco ultra 102sv
