We use the IKEA Big Blue Bags for laundry... I have severe arthritis and struggle to carry a laundry basket, but the big blue is awesome cos I can carry it over my shoulder like a large tote bag or if it’s a lighter load I can use the hand handles if my hands are feeling okie(ish) that day. But mostly I use them like a shoulder bag, I can’t fill them too much as they hold more than I can carry. But they also help me get stuff upstairs too, I cannot carry anything two handed as I MUST use the handrail, so these bags let me gather items to go upstairs and I can carry quite a few items in one trip if I bag them, and I can still use the handrail safely. Ohhh and our ginger cat (he passed away 2 weeks ago, LOVED these Blue Nags, he liked the texture and noise, he’d get in and roll around, he’d get in with the laundry and the lil bugger would get into the bag to be carried up to bed (he was almost 22 so he had problems with the stairs in the past year) so if we said “is it bedtime?” He’d head for the bag, my husband jokingly referred to the bag as “Über for Billy!” When he picked it up.

Plastic tubes and backers always seen to crack and break 😒 we have like 10 bags we rotate through bc they are so cheap lol!
I have never been to ikea... my husband always finds an excuse why we shouldn’t go... now I fricken see why?!? I’d want the whole store 😳 what have I been doing with my organizational life?!? Love this video thank you! 😍
No no no, you don't go with the husband. You either go alone or with a girlfriend or sister. It's WAY more fun without the man tagging along complaining about everything.
Hubby & I found a pop-up basket made for collecting leaves years ago at Bed Bath & Beyond. It was only $6. We used it as a laundry basket. Regular prices on their pop-up clothing bins were $15 & up. The leaf collection basket collapses down to be folded & put away when not in use & it's huge. Ideal for us bc we have four kids & never run out of laundry... lol
Nice choices, especially the last one, which I believe is underrated. Last time we moved, I bought two dozen and we used them to haul everything that wouldn't fit in the over five hundred boxes we also filled. Even with that many, I was wishing I'd bought more. They solve the problem of moving awkwardly-shaped items, especially those that are lightweight. An indispensable moving item for me now. ~ Lisa
I'm originally from MN but lived in Sweden for 4 and a half years now. I really appreciate you trying to pronounce the names of the products, because Swedish is not an easy language to learn! Good work!
I love the Kuggis boxes for holding printer paper! It’s the perfect size. I hated how the plastic wrapping always ripped and then paper would be everywhere and get bent/wrinkled and drove me crazy. Kuggis to the rescue!
What a great video. Thanks! I love Ikea. That Frakta bag is a lifesaver! I have hauled laundry, Goodwill donations, books, blankets, even firewood. But most of the time we use them for groceries. We live in an apartment, and taking multiple trips back and forth to the car is just not very practical. We load all the grocery bags into a couple of Frakta bags, hoist 'em up on our shoulders, and haul everything inside all at once. You get a bit of a workout doing it this way, too😂
We've used ours for firewood when camping as well! It's great when my young son outgrows clothing to stash it in an IKEA bag then I can easily give a large bundle away to friends/family. :-) That is true, apartment living hauling groceries and things is definitely considered a workout in my book. Love it!
I use the largest size Kuggis bins for holding toys under our coffee table and the lids we use for playdoh and painting projects. Most of the creativity stays on the lids (at this point I call them trays) and clean up is easier. Great video! I got some more ideas from you!
I love the bamboo phone holder but was surprised that you didn’t mention the little perforation in the back that I think is there for the recharging line to lie flat when needed.
The only IKEA I've been to was one in Round Rock, TX. My sis n law, mom n law & I were in there for 3 hours! My husband was done after an hour. I was kinda overwhelmed, there's just soo much. Thank you for sharing so I know what they offer that's worth the money for my home.
IKEA is like a religion in Sweden. We don't go to church here on Sundays, we go to IKEA. 😁 And we go there to buy the one thing we actually need, but come out with 40 other things as well. 🤣
Can I suggest the SKUBBS drawer organizers? They are honestly the best I've ever found and so cheap, maybe $5-10. Seriously a life changing product. I fold all of my clothes marie kondo style and they work perfectly with that system.
I love the KUGGIS box/bins they are all over my office/craft space. I have all my fabric organized in large ones. I use the tops as art trays for my kids. They clean up really easily and they are great because of the lip around the outside. LEGO stays inside and so do crayons and pencils, so super easy when having to quickly cleanup/move the tray. Just wanted to share! ♥️your channel!
I have some Kuggis boxes in my sewing room. They hold already cut fabric for works in progress. Ill be getting some deeper ones for fabric storage as soon as I can. I love them. I also store copy paper in them.
i so love window shopping. if i find something i like, i would definetly do a reverse image search and compare the options of what i can get for cheaper price. or even better do a diy it if possible. IKEA isn't horrible place to shop, for sure but they do give out a wonderful ideas what a person can do for a space.
Love the video! My nearest ikea is at least an hour away & having videos like this to help me shop & make a plan before I go so the long trip isn’t a waste is soooo helpful. Thank you thank you thank you! I also love your organizing hacks in general because I live in a small house too. Have you done a video about how you organize your (and your son’s) craft supplies? Do you have a small space where you keep your craft supplies or do you have a craft corner/room to store all the stuff?
I recently created storage space in my house and I used Kuggis too (one big like the one you showed and two smaller than the others you have) I also used 4 Drona boxes (I don't know if they are sold in the States). Here, in Spain, they cost 3 euros each one and they are made of cloth. I don't try to pronunce the names, they are too difficult. I found it is a "problem" for everyone who is not Swedish :)
I LOVE IKEA! These are great suggestions that I plan to use. Some of these I've never seen before, like the phone holder. I might get a couple of those to use and perhaps stocking stuffers
I almost threw out my big blue bag from ikea and I thought well I'll keep it and I folded it up and stuck it in the closet.. I did not realize how handy it would come in when I want to bring our big comforters to the laundry mat because they're too heavy for my washing machine.. that bag is perfect!
I have cloth baskets that I use in the living room to hold throw blankets. My coffee table is round with a shelf under the top surface, that is awkward to put things on, because it is a metal weave that makes putting things on it that won’t fall through, a headache. It is useable space if you use bins that can slide in and put. The cloth bins work great there, and they look nice also.
