Ngl never been a Corpse fan (more due to the cringe lyrics than the actual music) but this song made me respect him and his talent SO much more than I ever thought I would do, guy’s gifted and making the best of a horrid condition so fair play to him 🫡

I love how even when Corpse isn’t referencing Silent Hill directly, he’s referencing it indirectly. The town of Silent Hill is the titular town from the game series, which is Corpse’ favourite game franchise ( the first video ever posted on his channel was a play through of Silent Hill 2, and previous songs of his had dialogue from SH2 and other references where he relates heavily to the insane husband James and his chronically ill dead wife, Mary ). The 2006 movie version of Silent Hill is located in Pennsylvania instead of Maine, I believe, and is said to be based on Centralia. Deserted / haunted / cursed former coal mining town perpetually covered in a blanket of fog / smoke.
Also the split colour pink and black gory teddy bear in the video is a nod to the GLOOMY BEAR that Corpse created which he’s currently selling on their collab website.
Corpse has the perfect voice for trap metal and the way merged trap metal with MetalCore gives it such a cool sound
Best breakdown so far. If you look on the original post of the song, not the animated video, Corpse commented the lyrics and who is singing which part. 😅 So many reaction videos are not giving Corpse the credit for his incredible screaming on this track.

Lots of Gabapentin, lots of opiates, constantly vomiting acid, bile, and blood.

It's nice to listen to your analysis of the lyrics of the song, it's so cool to delve into the plot of the song, if you can call it that. I am not a native English speaker, but I am glad that there are translators who can translate the words of the song and understand them. This song is really very personal for the Corpse, but unlike other songs that touch on its problems, Code Mistake is incredibly dynamic.

Really love your Metal Mondays! If i could make a recommendation for you: Sleep Token - Ascensionism or Take Me Back to Eden. Honestly all of their music is lyrically heavy/deep and their sound is all over the place, in the best possible way! But those two songs are just packed with breakdown material for you.

The best part is when the instrumentals kick in imo, that’s why I feel trap metal such an under used scene in the sense that the style modern metal low tuned heavy guitars mixed pristinely and mix it with more angsty rap and a vocalist that can actually scream like corpse and oli here, I feel it’s genre that should be expanded on more

BMTH and Uzi (my favorite band and favorite artist) have 2 collabs maybe you have reacted to them but if you haven't the songs are AmEn and Werewolf.. also Pluto To Mars by Uzi is like the best song to just ride around to in the car.
