Wow Kate, this is so great. Our old trusted spread now dusted off and polished. Nice touch to use the Morgan Greer with all the stars on the back . This is giving this spread really a shiny glow.

I'm a beginner practitioner and I had the tendency to do my own interpretation in tutorials learning about the celtic cross as it resonates a lot with me probably because my subconscious associated it with my catholic background or because I see in every tarot book as a classic whatever, I like the way you explain it and thanks a lot however, I believe you changed the meaning for card in position 7 probably that's why it's revamped 😁 I like your previous approach which is "how do you approach the situation ?" my personal opinion of this reading is about love(the lovers, the empress) a new relationship, love is in the air LOL (ace and knight of cups) actually I could say stable or long one because of the king of pentacles. You are making some room cutting and letting behind(death) very bad experiences with love in the past(tower) to fill your cup again you have the energy of venus at your disposition and finally you have to make a decision(2 of swords) but there is no need to rush control your will horses(chariot), your emotions and don't let your ego(strength) influence you decision.
P.S. probably the deck in Spanish is a synchronicity to learn 😄
Thank you for adding in how to handle negative cards in positive positions! I like your revamped spread :D especially the "snakeskin" and "forest". It makes much more sense to me this way. The traditional way can be really vague and would be hard for newbies to grasp and read.

Kate - I LOVE this spread! Your position meanings make so much more sense to me that the traditional ones. And this demonstration reading lines up so perfectly with what's been going on in my life that it's literally scary. I've had multiple tower experiences over the last 8 years, all forcing me in the direction of re-establishing that essential connection with my higher self (I'm a little slow sometimes.) I've finally stopped looking outside myself for the answers and solutions I need, and discovered they were all inside of me the whole time. Even the negative cards you chose to illustrate how to read a negative card in a positive position worked perfectly as "clarification cards" for me. Thank you! (PS - as soon as the 8 of swords came into view, the word "secretkeeper" popped into my head. Keeping secrets is such a trap, and usually a self-imposed one.)

Nice vid. The ideas of balance and comparison are quite good. Many Ancient Mystics considered the greatest (maybe the only) true sin to be imbalance. vis a vis the Ace of cups: I find it sad Crowleys' work was hidden behind such a vile doorway but higher truth is always hidden in some manner huh? This deck is not bad though and Peeps usually get the Ace correct.

I see you also switched from the RWS deck to the Morgan-Greer deck. It's nothing but an observation on my part. Since I have both decks (and several versions of RW decks as do many viewers probably). And I have the Morgan-Greer. Many viewers probably have it, too. I just find it interesting because I've been switching between these two lately :)

Just out of curiosity, do you know Spanish quite well? I am infatuated with the Spanish language and culture and I was just in Spain for a month and received my diploma from the University of Salamanca. What made you decide to get the Spanish version of this Tarot deck?
Hi Austin, I accidentally ordered the spanish version! I don't speak Spanish although I did take some beginner classes over ten years ago.
I had the 10 of swords as c.n.9 and the chariot as c.n.10. But the five of swords for my higher self...not very sure what it means Could you help?
Good job, I think the Celtic Cross needs revamping. but what if the hidden desire card turns up as one of painful cards, like the 9 to 10 or swords?
Good question! I would say that it could represent a desire to be free of that. So the Ten of swords could represent a desire to escape the feeling of being pinned down or betrayed. Nine of Swords could mean a desire to live without worry and anxiety - to just be really chilled out and happy.

You certainly can have reversals in the spread . Some people don't do reversals so they flip the card up. It's all up to you. ;-)

The devil as card 1 and The sun as card 2, what could it mean? can somebody help me??
The devil as card one means there could be some sort of things that your attached to like habits and ways things you might be addicted to it's a really strong negative card seeing its a major arcana card that is the big picture of your life right now. The sun as card two what's influencing you right now again another major arcana card that could mean your nurturing that addictive part of you right now and you just might like it and see nothing wrong with it and look at it in a positive way hence keep the addictive cycle going.

I would recommend either the Druidcraft Tarot, Morgan-Greer (the one I used in this video) or the Universal Waite Tarot.
