Great to explanation! The lawyer comparison is really good example of his character. This is my least favorite king as well. Definitely a good person to have around in a pinch. Thank you for this dive into the card.
Great explanation! I relate a lot to the King of Swords especially in using words and preferring debates and intellectual topics. But I'm also a new lawyer and I work with a lot of other lawyers. My bosses and some of my older colleagues better exemplify the King of Swords. Super smart and dedicated to work. It's actually fun to identify who is more like the King or Queen of Swords at my office. But the King is definitely aspirational for me. Sometimes I just feel like the Page of Swords 😅
I am someone who could be referred to as a King of Swords. I think your description is pretty accurate. It's true that the King of Swords can excel in the workplace. I would say his domain is more the intellectual realm. So a King of Swords can very well do a job he doesn't necessary value, and live his "real" (intellectual) life during his free time. Also, it's true that he can be at times confrontational, but he sees that more as a part of mind openness. Because emotions, and attachment to ideas is opposed to a rational, objective view of life. A King of Swords might seem serious, but it's in reality the less serious archetype. Or at least, contrary to what people might think, he doesn't take ideas seriously, because he sees himself as a master of ideas. He likes to make his own opinion on things, have his own model of reality, and explore many angles and topics during his life, but always getting deeper and deeper. One thing a King of Swords will always tell you is : "do your own research !". The King of Swords thinks everyone can and should spend as much time as he does doing research, which of course is not true. This is why he gets upset when someone who spent less time than him diving into a subject tries to argues with him. It's not like the King of Swords belittles people who have less degrees or intelligence (that would be the Hierophant), he might even sometimes have no degrees and be self-taught. The King of Swords respects people who have an original, unique and well documented point of view on reality, no matter what the subject is. He will quickly dismiss people who are superficial or conformists in their approach of a given subject. One difference with the characters of the cups series is that he doesn't trust blindly his intuition, he is always thinking against himself, as a way of protecting himself against manipulation. Also, he will approach spirituality in a more rational way. I think for instance, that the Tarot deck was created by a King of Swords. It's highly esoteric, full of hidden messages, and yet extremely rational when you understand the underlying logic. But anyways, nice video, and I hope you meet one day a King of Swords who will change your mind about people like him !
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you could relate to this King :) Thanks for sharing some insights into his personality - I think you're onto something with your idea that a King of Swords personality created the Tarot deck - all those symbols and hidden meanings is definitely his kind of thing!
@@DailyTarotGirl By the way, if you'de like to see how someone like the King of Swords sees the Tarot, I've made some videos. It's all in french unfortunately, except one. But that's somthing you probably never heard of ;)
I like to watch your analysis videos for each tarot card. So please make some more of it and not just stop because there is so much to learn. You help me to see another perspective or not be negative when the card looks dark. It's sad that you do not make more bcs many cards not unraveled. This is good for beginners or daily folks who have limited time but still keep thinkin it while working. I don't think the queen of cups is a bad person. There is a duality illusion on this card. So I read the card for my sister and think it is good but she thinks it is bad. By sending this kind of video will help her to understand what I mean. So, I hope you add this to your video. I kinda like your interpretation. Thanks.
I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos :) I'm working my way through the entire deck. Once I'm finished the courts, I'll move onto the minor arcana. Thanks for your patience and enthusiasm!!!

My dad was a king of swords, and King of pentacles reversed type of guy. Honestly was not a good father
